Re: Round Table: Let's Talk About Super Mario

It's a shame I missed that time. I would have loved playing SEGA Master System. (trollface)Seriously though, it sucks being a retro game fan as a kid. Other kids think you're weird, adults think you're not retro enough even though I honestly feel nostalgia for old games that I've never played. Now that I put it that way it does sound weird. (laughs) Also, I am sad to admit my first video game I've ever owned was some GameCube SpongeBob game. First I saw was a friend playing Leaf Green though, so I might be redeemed. (laughs)

I was worried that Nintendo Life's progression to SEGA Life might have been halted, but alas, the new editor likes Genesis, so we won't be losing progress.
(Yes I know he's not "new")
(goes to play Genesis)

@winter123 Anyone with computer knowledge could put it on a new SD card. You put the old one in the computer's SD card slot, or use an external SD reader if it's not built in, copy it to a folder on your computer, swap the SD cards, copy the contents to the new SD card, and it works just fine.

@PeopleWantingANewExperience Not everybody needs the aesthetics to change. Some people, like me, just want new power ups and levels. I guess I'm one of the people that Reggie (I think it was him that said it) was talking about that just want more Mario without drastic changes.

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Think of 3DS XL?

JohnPhilipSousa

I'm getting this at some point, since I doubt they'd have another revision, and my 3DS is starting to wear down due to slightly poor choices regarding screen protectors and other things. I honestly doubt there's anything they could REALISTICALLY add. I won't buy any other handheld until the next gen DS.

I just woke up after seeing a Dark Knight trilogy marathon last night. They gave out posters and showed all three in a row. It was like watching an eight hour movie. I'd only seen the second before, but I barely remembered any of it. It was awesome.

@CerealKiller062 I'm an 8/16-bit gamer for the most part, and I'm 13. I love 8-bit and especially 16-bit games and modern games similar to them. I rarely play games like Halo or Call of Duty, but I do occasionally. But for the most part, I'm a retro gamer, and I am offended that you would assume that people under 14 don't play retro games. Heck, I get sad when I see little kids playing HD games or worse; smartphone "games".
