We've known for a little while that Two Tribes is bringing Toki Tori 2 to Wii U as a download title, and the developer has today released a new trailer and news on one way the GamePad will be used.
The trailer shows off some of the puzzles and the use of a stomp move, which can manipulate creatures as items as well as the environment. We see some clever puzzling, and a rather charming scene of the diminutive chicken being flown through the air. Two Tribes has also revealed the Tokidex, which will use the GamePad as a virtual camera to snap pictures of creatures and items on the screen.
You can check out the trailer below, and be sure to keep an eye out for our upcoming interview with Two Tribes about all things Toki Tori.

Looks like they need to keep working on the game...animations aren't as smooth as most games. :/
i know this isnt the place for this but have u guys noticed that the north american club nintendo has the golden nunchuk now?
GAH, I'm 370 coins short!
From the looks of it, levels are going larger then the original. Which is a good thing.
Didn't play the WiiWare version, but it does look interesting.
...but slightly obscure. Do the 'puzzles' have clues as to what to do? Watching that trailer I wasn't sure why the player was doing something, then suddenly is solved a problem.
Definitely picking up the Steam version.
Looking very good so far, I will be downloading this when it is released.
Watching that trailer I wasn't sure why the player was doing something,
Seems to be just a tech demo right now with the actual stages yet to be finalised.
Looks ok. It's missing something.
Speaking of Toki Tori around when are we gonna get the contest results? It's the 9th today.
Promising signs. Looks very similar to the Wiiware one, but that's not a bad thing in my eyes. Seems to be plenty of new gameplay puzzle quirks too, but they'll doubtless be explained on the way, as in the original.
never even finish the first one because the puzzle in that dark level place was difficult for me, been more then years since then
Don't know really. The tokidex doesn't sound too much convincingly...
I will be picking up instead the PC version.
huh, looked like bird sybol from zelda at one point
Was the Tokidex in the video? It' snot going to be aseparate $10 purchase is it?
I never played the first game on the Wii but my sons played a few levels on the PC. Wasn't the first game completely based on 1 screen per level? This looks to be much more of a side scroller with some platformer elements thrown in. I'ld be more interested in playing this.
What about the Toki Tori competition?
Somepony say flutter... (looks at title again) Um, never mind (quietly tiptoes back out). (This does look too cute/gorgeous to pass up )
when will they announce the results of the competion? Anyway i might get this for the wii u but i will buy trine first on the eshop because it looks better.
@rjejr It's not in the video and it won't be a separate purchase!
If anyone else has any questions, go ahead! We'll be here all day!
Do want.
Yeah, the new stuff definitely looks promising. Really liked the WiiWare game, getting it on the 3DS VC soon as well (one way or another). Guess this will be on my Wii U whichever day i may get one.
Insta-download
what about the competion but toki tori looks good need some more work to it tho
I did the Steam alpha build and I'm quite curious to see how it turns out.
Looks pretty sweet.
Also: Soon-ish? That made me laugh! Guys, take your time if it means we get a better game!
Coming soon -ish /
This game looks silly and crazy. The trailer didn't help at all.
Entering the screen with being inside that bubble made me think of Bubble Bobble
