Re: No Off-Screen Play For Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate On Wii U

Jellitoe

@1ron_man
No, Its not the whole point. Its one option, of many and not innovative at all. The whole point of the second screen is to add functionality.
I prefer to use the touch screen for quick access to my bag like when I need a dung bomb for the Rathalos chewing my stomach.

Re: Wii U Should Do As Well As The Wii, Says Developer

Jellitoe

Problem is that the best developers of third party title want to go multiplatform, so they will bypass special use of the tablet so they can reach the masses. That leaves only Nintendo and small projects that are directly targeting the WiiU audience which is tiny right now. No "BIG" Title will make real use of the Gamepad's features.

Re: Reaction: The Rayman Legends Delay Is a Low Blow, But The Apocalypse Isn't Here

Jellitoe

The fact that this is going multiplatform is a good thing. Companies need to make money after all. Hell, I wish more games did this so there be more parity in the console world. The reason they don't get my money is because this for me was a release game to get as a stopgap, till games I really want came out. Now its going to release with those games. So I found another stopgap game and this is no longer a must have for me. I might still get it, but from the walmart sales bin instead.

Re: U.S. Download Sales Increase, But Physical Games Drop in Popularity

Jellitoe

Steam changed my mind about Download Purchases. There was a time I would say hell no to download, but the convenience of saying, I want Scribblenauts. Click click, download, done is awesome. Now I wish Ninty adopted another Model so my purchases were more permanent than they are now, like Steam, but heck, still convinient

Re: GPU Images Reveal Wii U Graphical Power

Jellitoe

@Lan That is not a fair comparison. Nintendo has always been king of the portables and the #DS was destines to win that fight. Yes its graphics are not like Vita, but on that small screen it is considered HD, and on top of that you have the #D feature and massive "3rd Party support" - that last key being what Wii did not have. what Wii U is starting to to lose and what, yes Vita does not have.

And Lan, I hope you are having this conversation in the peace knowing that I love Nintendo, and will support them in whatever they decide since the do make the best games.

Re: GPU Images Reveal Wii U Graphical Power

Jellitoe

@Lan Yes, and it is also the reason Nintendo is currently reporting loses and the Wii U is not selling like they wanted it too, Also the reason they were hush about the systems specs. It was a bad decision. The moment most consumers found out it was on par with the XBOX, they ran and bought an XBOX instead for half the price.

Re: Square Enix Laments "Increasingly Difficult" Console Market

Jellitoe

Best games that have come from them in the past few years to Nintendo have all been DS games, Theathrythm and Dragon Quest 9 were amazing, but dag everything else has been lame. I tried playing Last Remnant and was like...wow disappointment,
I had super high hopes for Bearers of the Crystal, but it was horrible.

Re: Square Enix Laments "Increasingly Difficult" Console Market

Jellitoe

That is because they release for everything but the 2nd largest Gaming market Nintendo, the largest being PC.
A Final Fantasy or a GOOD Crystal Chronicles would have scored them billions, but they decided to release Graphical monsters instead that do not sell (or even appear in market like Versus)

Re: GPU Images Reveal Wii U Graphical Power

Jellitoe

It basically means that Nintendo once again skimped on its hardware and that we will not be getting 3rd party software targeted towards next gen and will miss out on a lot of current software that is CPU heavy.

And that we Nintendo fans are used to having a second rate product.

Shame on you Nintendo,

Re: Latest Figures Show The Video Game Market Is Contracting

Jellitoe

The new price on Wii U games is high, At $60 dollars a game, there is no way I will buy a game because I might like it, I have to be convinced I will. This keeps my money in my bank. Drop the price of game to 39.99 and I will buy more games. Keep the price high and I will be extra selective.
And truth being said, Nintendo has not released squat worth buying.
