I have snagged two (xmas pressies, I am no scalper!) in the last week at my local GAME store. The manager there informs me they are getting regular stock weekly, but still small numbers.
I got into the habit of checking their website (online offering £135 reseller only, boo!) each morning, putting in my postcode in the "check stock in local store" section.
Got one today, one last Thursday.
It is a little faff, but I got two at RRP. GAME are hit and miss, but they came through for me on this front
@NintySnesMan CEX are known for being professional scalpers at launch. They buy popular products en masse, knowing it will be sold out, and then sell it in their stores marked up. They are like eBay scalpers, only with a high street presence. Boo, and again, boo
@SuperNictendo Hmm that's a good point, I forgot that updates tend to force a reboot. Naturally, I am hopeful that there is something in the new firmware that isn't being triggered for everyone, hence the disparity in reports. Time will tell, once users number in the millions soon!
I am reading that the update needs to be applied, and then the system rebooted with the joycon attached, in order for the update to fix the signal issue. This would make sense, and is perhaps why some people think it doesn't work, as they are yet to do the reboot. Regardless, here's hoping this'll fix it tomorrow
@DragonEleven That would be Ace. And would be a sales revenue for them. However, it'd be a nice show for the tournament players (not me!) and long term fans with old gear (me!) to let the existing adaptor from the WiiU years roll across.
I am the flip of some people here... I loved the W101 demo, and bought it a few days after. However, I found the controls for the wonder powers to be so hit and miss that my enjoyment of the game slipped as more were acquired. Yes, some will accuse me of refusing to "learn" it properly. However, I dropped 7 hours into the game before FleaBaying it, which should be more than enough time to get a handle on a game.
I am however very keen to play bayonetta, as the things I liked about 101 (the solo controls and the camp craziness) seem to be there, without the gesture/shape stuff.
Important speed question that I haven't seen addressed... Is the speed of loading up and switching between the Streetpass games improved? I love me some street pass puzzle pieces and the battle game, but loathe the slow load and transitions. I guess this depends on whether the system sees it as "one" piece of software or a selection... Thanks in advance

Re: Nintendo Switch 2 System Update 20.1.5 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@Steve999red
I also have a non-functional ethernet port here. Recovery mode didn't solve my problem unfortunately.
I've started a thread here on the forums
https://www.nintendolife.com/forums/nintendo-switch-2/ethernet_port_on_switch_2_docks_failing_for_many_people
It seems to be widespread. Hopefully a software fix incoming. If this is hardware it is going to mean lots of returns and replacements.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Considers the Future of Nintendo, the Switch and NVIDIA
@FiveDigitLP The chap in the video struggles with his "r"s. That's it!
It has nothing to do with being a British/English dialect. Although we do have some hum dingers of dialects/accents over here!
And, as per your Edit, it is simply a quirk of his voice. We all know people with such quirks. Glad to hear you weren't being nasty about it

Re: Talking Point: What We'd Like To See In Super Smash Bros. For Nintendo Switch
Um.... Gamecube adaptor functionality?!
I know it is old tech, but Smash players love the GC controller for a reason! It works perfectly for Smash
The switch dock does have those USB ports, so it could happen. Would be an odd (but appreciated) move!

Just got mine today. Posted my mini review on the 3DS> New 3DS thread on the forum. Happy times!
