I have a friend who used to race bangers at the weekend. Pull out the radiator, fit a water tank, reinforce the doors with whatever scrap metal was lying around - then smash it to bits against 20 other similar cars on a Sunday morning...
They used Ford Cortinas and Granadas because they were cheap and seemingly in endless supply...
These cars are considered a rare classic in good condition today, something to be treasured and preserved.
Can't bring myself to vote for the "add some gradient"... "now add drop shadow!"... look of the font in the US/EU version - looks like something from a middle school newspaper
I guess someone here in the comments should mention what excellent games these are... Anyone? No? Too busy whining?
Oh all right then...
These games are excellent. The DSi ware original was one of the best games on that platform; charming, original, and challenging. Highly recommended to anyone!
@aaronsullivan as I've said to someone else, they are far too easy. The main bosses are glorified quick time events, sub bosses you can just brute-force. The final boss in particular had a single attack in the middle phase that was tricky - other than that it's easy dodging while you w wait for a counter opportunity. Then hammer the missiles while you watch the cinematic.
@Gwynbleidd But that's the problem, they are far too easy. The main bosses are glorified quick time events, sub bosses you can just brute-force. It's a fun game but not a particularly satisfying one.
@ryancraddock any chance you could reach out to the team again? The issue with physical versions not being able to access the dlc has not been resolved
@damo I Loved this write up so much that I bought the content - only to find that it isn't accessible from a physical version of the game... Any word from the devs/publishers as to whether this will be fixed? Or do they not care about the people who paid twice as much for their game?
I completely disagree with Astral Chain being in that list. I wear glasses for reading and, even when I forgot them, I never had a problem with text in any play configuration.
"While it's true that the respective audiences lead to a cross-pollination of mismatched elements in the more mainstream gaming space, it's nice that things like Road to Guangdong can still come along and offer something completely out of step with any conflicting trends."
I like to think I'm a pretty intelligent, well read kind of guy - but I have no idea what you're trying to say here, @StuartGipp ?
Is there anything to stop the hundreds of sale spamming mobile phone ports from having a sale that's always about to end - only to start again a day later?
@NintendoWiiDS Well that's really effing annoying. I was only really interested in the Wii version of Shakedown from a collection perspective, as it is likely to be last Wii game ever properly produced - Oh well, worse things happen at sea!
I know Nintendo is a child friendly brand but I didn't realise so many would be commenting here.
The vast majority of comments here are from people who either A) Don't understand how Kickstarter works, B) Don't understand how VAT works, C) Can't read.
In adolescence people tend to rebel against things that are popular and things that are ostensibly 'childish' - of which Animal Crossing is clearly both.
It doesn't help that sites like this ensure they find a way, no matter now tenuous, to mention it every single day.

Re: Horizon Chase Turbo Gets Blown Wide Open With New Free 'Adventures Mode'
Is this going to work on both the digital AND physical versions of the game? (Unlike the Senna DLC)
Re: Where To Pre-Order Bayonetta 3 On Switch
@sethharris1191
A good review is about information, framed by human experience.
I've read many 9/10 reviews that provided me with information that let me know I wouldn't like a game - and many 4/10 reviews that did the opposite.
Re: Where To Pre-Order Bayonetta 3 On Switch
Never understood pre-ordering, especially before reviews land.
Re: Bayonetta 3 Gets "Mature" ESRB Rating For Nudity, Gore, And In-Game Purchases
I got a Switch over two years ago to play this and Metroid Prime 4... 😬
Re: Scalpers Set Their Sights On Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Special Edition
@iLikeUrAttitude Don't be ridiculous. The fault lies with those that pay the scalper prices.
The supply and demand model is a symbiotic relationship.

Humans never learn.

Re: Review: Slipstream - A Neat, Sonic-Obsessed Homage To Sega's Super Scaler Tech
@Toshiro_Baloney This is a much better game then 80s Overdrive. This one has been on pc for ages so less jaded reviews are not hard to find.

It's there a patch coming to make the boss fights good?

Re: UK Charts: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Takes Switch Lead As Metroid Dread Drops To Seventh
MK8U must have the highest attach rate of any game in history by this point.
Re: This High-Grade Nintendo World Championships Cartridge Could Fetch Over Half A Million Dollars
I wish I could afford to buy this. Just to post a video of myself smashing it free of that plastic tomb and playing it.

@YoshiAngemon
Hello yourself 😊
Re: Where To Pre-Order Metroid Dread Special Edition And Samus & EMMI amiibo
@Ajent
Oh no, the game will be so much worse without a sticker and trading card collection getting dusty on my shelf.
Re: Where To Pre-Order Metroid Dread Special Edition And Samus & EMMI amiibo (North America)
Here's a better idea: Don't pre-order. Ever.
Re: Good-Feel's Twin-Stick Shooter Monkey Barrels Is Getting A Physical Switch Release
So with shipping and tax £60?
Yeah, I don't think so.
Re: Review: Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit - A Joyful Fusion Of Reality And Fiction
4 Player multiplayer @ £400 = 8/10

Re: Dataminer Shares New Details About The Emulation In Super Mario 3D All-Stars
Great. I'm really excited to buy more low effort ports for my increasingly dusty Switch.

Re: Here's A Look At Shantae's Limited Run Releases, Pre-Orders Open Next Week
I just cancelled my Seven Sirens pre-order with them.
Might put the funds towards one of these, at least the game that comes with all the bumph will actually be good that way.

Re: Untitled Goose Game Is Getting A Free Multiplayer Update Next Month
Physical release is awesome news, especially as it's not from Limited Run or one of their contemporaries.
Re: Feature: Best Nintendo Switch Life Sims And Farming Games
Gotta keep those Animal Crossing clicks coming, right?

Re: Shakedown: Hawaii For Wii U Arrives Next Week
The Wii version of this sold out in the six minutes it took for the shop page to refresh.
Basically, if you're not a bot, don't even bother trying.

Re: Video: Catherine: Full Body Gets New Switch Trailer Ahead Of Next Month's Launch
If you've always wanted to play Q*bert as a half sheep man then this might be the game for you - otherwise, don't bother.
The so called 'mature' story is misogynistic clap trap of the worst kind. Avoid.
Re: Sneaky Stealth Title Invisible, Inc. Just Surprise-Launched On Nintendo Switch
And just like that, the best ten games on Switch gets a new entry.
Re: Suda51 Shares First In-Game Look At Travis Touchdown In No More Heroes 3

Re: Feature: Potential Switch Port Round-Up - The Wii U Games That Haven't Come To Switch
@dartmonkey That's a very good reason!
Re: Feature: Potential Switch Port Round-Up - The Wii U Games That Haven't Come To Switch
Is there a reason the fantastic Affordable Space Adventures isn't listed?
Re: Nintendo To Shutdown "Limited" Wii U And 3DS eShops In Select Countries
Looks like I have to flip my 3DS switch from the default 'Piracy is theft' seeing to the 'Piracy is Preservation' setting.
Everyone in affected areas need to download Pocket Card Jockey immediately.
