I come from the younger end of the spectrum. (I wasn't old enough to enjoy games until well into the Gamecube's lifetime.) I personally find that I have a harder time enjoying a lot of older games; they aren't as approachable for me. For example, I've tried to start the original Legend of Zelda several times, but never lasted long enough to really get into the game. I have all of the Ambassador games, and haven't really enjoyed a lot of them (which isn't to say that I haven't tried).
On a spur of the moment, I just downloaded this. I've never played any Mega Man games before, so this is a dive for me. After playing for 20 minutes or so, I can see why so many people love the game.
The original doesn't need an upgrade at all. This, though... it's simply magical, like adding concentrated happiness to the best thing you've ever tasted.
I've always been less sure I'd want this one. The partners were a huge part of the game for me in the other ones, and while I think I might enjoy this one, I don't think it's worth $40 to me.
It's perfect for travel- it seems pretty durable, and who would be using internet while you're away from home? Also, it's cheap, so you wouldn't need to be quite as careful.
I predict some effective use of both screens. I have no idea where they would take that, though. I'm sure the action would take place on the 3D screen/TV, leaving a touch screen free. But it would have to be something that would not favor one size of screen over another. (I'm sure it'd be easier to tap a button quickly on the 3DS touch screen than the UMote one, for example.) So, in short, who knows where they'll take it, but I predict some sort of touch screen use.
You know, guys, I don't think NL reported on this event because it was newsworthy in and of itself. The results, however, have quite a bearing on gaming- I'd say that a team not winning the European Pokémon Championship because of an outside event makes that event quite newsworthy, regardless of what happened.
Although I completely understand that the chances are EXTREMELY slim, I would love Halo on 3DS. Heck, even if the campaign and matchmaking was dropped, I would love it. Forge FTW!
Great buy. Granted, I don't think the Hard difficulty is too bad if you know what you're doing. BUT, that was on the original mode. On Duel (where you only get ten pieces 'stead of 40), Medium was difficult.
Tell me I'm not the only commenter so far who noticed this was mentioned in the actual E3 presentation. It was stated, right after the announcement itself.
Dang Nintendo and their money-sucking skills. (I was so tempted to use a Luigi's Mansion Reference there. But I spared you.) Yet another thing to save up for. I wish lawn mowing wasn't my only income, being under 16 and all.
Well, if that were more possible, I would whole-heartedly say HECK YES. BUT, there are more shoulder buttons and an extra Circle Pad on the U-Mote, and an extra screen that would just seem wasted. However, I think that with at least some games, perhaps ones that don't need as many buttons, that could be very possible and would make me want it more. Given, of course, that compatible games are very common.
Two things: First, this is an incredibly long comment thread. Second, I'm not entirely happy with the level designs. There aren't many levels that are genuinely fun to play and a lot of the course design came out pretty bland in my opinion. BUT, it's still a very fun game.

Re: Switch Platformer 'Bonito Days' Is Getting 10 New Levels In Free Update
I want to like this. It seems like a good time, and I would be getting it for the multiplayer, but it seems like maybe one to wait for a sale for me.
Re: Review: Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl (3DS)
Holy crap. This looks like it is right up my alley. I don't know how I managed to miss the rest of them entirely.
Re: Developer Interview: QubicGames Tells Us All About AiRace Speed, 3DS Development and Nintendo in Poland
If I weren't strapped for cash, I would definitely get this. I liked Tunnel a lot, and this is looking pretty dang great.

Re: Sakurai Explains The Reasoning Behind The New Characters in Super Smash Bros.
I was... surprised to see the Trainer, to say the least, but I'm warming to the idea.

Re: Impressions: Brain Age: Concentration Training Demo
I can handle 2-back well, but I start to crack and lose focus on 3-back.
Re: Impressions: Brain Age: Concentration Training Demo
Hmm. Intriguing. I might end up buying this- that sounds like a worthy challenge.
Re: Review: Ikachan (3DS eShop)
I want to love this, but if it's still so short, I don't think it'd be quite worth my $5. (Gosh darn it. I was so excited...)
Re: Nintendo Unveils The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD for Wii U
The original doesn't need an upgrade at all. This, though... it's simply magical, like adding concentrated happiness to the best thing you've ever tasted.
Re: Disney Infinity Will Have A New Game Released Every Year
This seems more interesting as we go, but I'm still very dubious that I'll get it personally.
Re: Ikachan Swimming Into The 3DS eShop in North America Before February
YES. I've been waiting for Ikachan.
Re: Feature: Pokémon X & Y - What We Know So Far
According to Bulbapedia, Fennekin is based on the Fennec fox- that makes a lot more sense to me than a deer.
Edit: ninja'd.
Re: Main Pokémon RPG Series Continues to Prioritise Portable Gaming
It would certainly be much less intimidating if there were only 50 new Pokémon, especially as I skipped this last generation entirely.
Re: Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity
I'm excited.
Re: Talking Point: Pokémon X & Y Provide a Timely Boost for 3DS in the West
I skipped Black and White, but I'm definitely gonna go for this.
Re: Nintendo Download: 27th December 2012 (North America)
Darn. I was hoping for Ikachan. Oh well.
Re: Review: 2 Fast 4 Gnomz (3DS eShop)
The demo is awesome. I think I'll buy it, although I can see myself losing steam on the tougher levels.

Re: Review: Rising Board 3D (3DS eShop)
I want very much to like this- I love Pop Island. This sort of game isn't really up my alley, though, so I don't think I'll download it.

Re: Nintendo Download: 23rd February 2012 (North America)
Pfft. Bad week? I agree with Luigifan above- I have way too many games to play already.
Re: 3DS Beats First Year DS Sales in Just 8 Months
Well, that's very encouraging. Hopefully, it can duplicate this feat in the coming years.
Re: Review: Mario Kart 7 (3DS)
Yay! Online!
I'd join a NintendoLife community.
Re: Nintendo of America's Zelda Room is Awesome
I would love to buy a Navi like that to hang in my room. Seriously, they could make a ton of money selling that.
Re: Next Zelda on 3DS a "Continuation of Past Efforts" says Aonuma
I personally prefer Zelda in a 3D world to 2D Zelda. A true successor to WW would be a dream come true.

Re: Europe Feels the Chill of Ice White 3DS in December
OH MY GOODNESS. That looks so stinkin' awesome. I would take that over my Aqua Blue any day. WHY?

"What a long comment thread you have, Grandmother."
"The better to distract you with, my dear."
Re: NOA: "Never Say Never," But No Plans to Bring Sought-After Wii Games to NA
Y'know how they want the boundaries between "casual" and "core" to disappear? Methinks some sackings need to happen to achieve that ever at this rate.

HECK YES! I really hoped this would be good, and now I pretty much have to buy it.

Re: Review: Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion (3DS)
What just crossed my mind: I probanly got more play out of Super Monkey Ball 3D's Monkey Fight mode than I would have gotten from this.

Re: Fan-Made Metroid Game Miniaturises Our Beloved Heroine
Melvin2898 brings up a good point- in order to defend their IP, this will probably get shot down.
Re: Review: Super Monkey Ball 3D (3DS)
You know what I really want? A Monkey Ball game that's like Adventure.
Re: Review: Shapo (DSiWare)
Seems pretty interesting. I don't think I'd enjoy it a lot, though
Re: ESRB Rating Sheds Light on Cubic Ninja Gameplay, Buttocks Fragments
Erm. What rating did they give this game?
Re: An Old School Look at The Reginator
That's just awesome. Just pure, plain, awesome.
Re: Iwata Talks 3DS Expectations and Wii Successor

Re: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Collects 4 BAFTA Nominations
I agree with JimLad. Halo deserves to win multiplayer.
Re: Review: Model Academy (DSiWare)
Honestly, is there some abyss of ideas that some developers go to? The game ideas they get sometimes just make you wonder.
