Personally, I would have to give this a 9 or a 10. I like the story, although I would have to mention I haven't played that many Pokémmon games and I didn't notice the similarities. This is the only game I've played through more than twice. I haven't beaten it 100% every time, but I get pretty close. I actually finished the championship section of the game a third time, and I'm still playing it. The music doesn't really bother me. In fact, I didn't even notice it was all rock until I read this review.
Ooh. But I need to save for the 3DS, which I must, must get day one, and if I buy this, I'll have to buy certain other DSiWare, and then I won't be able to get a 3DS day one. So, I pretty much have to pass. Dang.
Great game. But on a certain place, when I use a certain character, if I play the first half of a round, then close my DSi, when I open it again to finish the round, I come out as a different character. Very confusing.
One thing- this "game" is very easily exploited. My friends just kept switching the date on their Wii until they had a couple hundred pokemon, despite not having uploaded from a game. I'm not a Pokemaniac at all, and my collection consists of Platinum, which I didn't have when I downloaded it.
I'm not sure I want the price to fall here, as that might ruin my plan to sell my DSi for 3DS money, provided the 3DS is backwards compatible with DS carts and DSiWare.
I haven't played this kind of puzzle before this game, and I play it a LOT. Great game, and 200 point tag makes it a must-download, provided you like logic puzzles.

Re: Super Mario Galaxy 2 up for BAFTA Game of the Year
@Pj- A million gold bars.
Re: Super Mario Galaxy 2 up for BAFTA Game of the Year
I'm sorry, but Halo: Reach is the best on that list. And I don't even have Xbox Live Gold (which is necessary for playing online).
Re: Design the Official T-Shirt for Team Chien!
I kinda wish I had a cool design in mind and mad photoshop skillz. But I don't.
Re: Review: 505 Tangram (DSiWare)
You know, I think I might have to download this if it jumps the puddle. Provided I obtain the necessary points.
Re: Review: Glory Days - Tactical Defense (DSiWare)
Dang it. Now I wish I had remembered to save some points for this.
Re: Review: Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective (DS)
I loved the demo, so this should have been mine already, were it not for the 3DS. Ah well, I'll just have to procure it sometime later.
Re: Review: Magical Drop III (Virtual Console / Neo Geo)
For some reason, this looks (visually) like Tetris Attack and Pokémon Puzzle League to me.
Re: QubicGames and NoWay Studio Revving Up Remote Racers
Ditto.
Re: First Super Monkey Ball 3DS Trailer is Bananas
Personally, I liked Monkey Ball Adventure the best. If this has a story like it had, in which courses are interspersed around worlds, I'll buy it.

Re: Review: Frenzic (DSiWare)
What are the power-up-looking things on the top, bottom right and bottom left circles?
Re: Glory Days - Tactical Defense
Yeah, that would definitely be a great addition, especially with download play.
Re: Review: Blood Stone 007 (DS)
So it's better overall? Hmm. I think I'd prefer Goldeneye because it's first person, but should I get this instead?
Re: Get Strategic on DSiWare with Glory Days - Tactical Defense
And I'll probably have to get it. I mean, Pop Island (aperfield) was really good, so yeah.
Re: Get Strategic on DSiWare with Glory Days - Tactical Defense
@mariofanatic- You can switch the screens on both Pop Islands, so I think you probably can to the extent of you guide the cube with the stylus.
Re: Review: Ivy the Kiwi? Mini (DSiWare)
Oh dear. Yet another must-have DSiWare game. I have at least $30 of DSiWare I need to get, but I need to save everything I get for the 3DS. Crap.
Re: Review: Shantae: Risky's Revenge (DSiWare)

Re: UK Retailer HMV Tickled Pink About Upcoming 3DS Launch
@5- That will probably never happen. Remember what the big N said about why the 3DS won't have the top screen be a touch screen too?
Re: Multiplayer Brawling Comes to DSiWare with Cosmo Fighters
If this is generally like Smash Bros gameplay-wise, then I'm sold. Problem is that I need to save for the 3DS.
Re: Double Up in Sonic Colours Co-Op Multiplayer
Wait. So can one combine Wisps in both multi- and single player, or is that just in multiplayer?
Re: Review: Cosmos X2 (DSiWare)
@Kid_A [confused look] What?
Re: Review: Where's Wally? Travel Pack 1 (DSiWare)
Wow. A comment thread that has nothing to do with a review. Kinda funny, actually. Good job comicguy for causing this randomosity.
Re: Bplus Blowing Up 3DS with Vector Tank 3D+
It looks fun to me. I admit that in 3D it might be a bit of an overload, but as of yet I kinda like the color scheme.
Re: Get More Cutesy DSiWare Racing with Pop Island: Paperfield
I. REALLY. REALLY. REALLY. REALLY. WANT.
[whips into frenzy]
Re: Date or Ditch
This looks like an anti-game to me.

Re: Epic Mickey Paintbrush Controller and Charging Station
The paintbrush looks cool, but isn't the in-game paintbrush controlled with the Wiimote pointer and not the nunchuck?
Re: E3 2010: Super Scribblenauts Trailer
OOH! OOH! ANGRY gentlemanly red raptor! I wonder what happens then...
@Belgicario- To add to your list-
Lovely troll
Nerdy gangster
Genius monkey
Re: E3 2010: Reader Questions - Day Two
@zranoll- I agree with that completely.
Re: E3 2010: First Impressions: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
I wonder if Link will have a personality, like in WW, PH, and ST. TP Link didn't seem to have much of one.
Re: E3 2010: Nintendo 3DS
@20thPaul- It just sounded like the carts weren't supported.
Re: E3 2010: Nintendo 3DS
I. Can. Not. Wait. I just feel kind of let down by the fact it doesn't support DS carts.
Re: UK DS Prices Could Tumble as Nintendo Cuts Trade Cost

Re: Review: Picross 3D (DS)
I tried the demo and really want to get this. I guess Advanced Circuits will have to tie me over until I do.

Re: Review: Art Style: Penta Tentacles (WiiWare)
Dang. If it was 100 points less I could get it with the leftover 500 I have from buying the Internet Channel.
Re: Review: Rytmik (DSiWare)
Hurry up and come out, please! Me need!
Re: The Nintendo Era is Over, Tweets Former Final Fantasy Scribe
Pfffft. What experience does Apple even have with real video games? Oh yeah, World of Warcraft. If one could consider that a game.
Re: Renegade Kid Excited by 3DS's Potential for Original Games
@KiroX777- Isn't the 3DS supposed to be a handheld?
@Dodger- I'm in the same situation. Except I read reviews just for fun, not just when I research.
I wonder how developers will use 3D effects. The possibilities seem to be endless.
Typing on a DSi! ding
Re: Review: Asphalt 4: Elite Racing (DSiWare)
I just realized how inconsistent my comments are looking right now.
Re: Review: Asphalt 4: Elite Racing (DSiWare)
I downloaded it a few days ago. Good game, just a bit too easy and I wish there was a mode for as many takedowns as you can until you die.
Re: Review: Link's Crossbow Training (Wii)
Not "up to 100x10", I've gotten score multipliers of almost 40 before, only limited by missed shots.
Re: Custom Robo Arena
I reeeaaaally liked this game.
Re: Review: Asphalt 4: Elite Racing (DSiWare)
If only I had 800 points. I've played one of the Burnout games and really liked it, so this seems like a good purchase.
Re: Nnooo's Next Game Makes You a Spirit Hunter
Ooh, this looks quite interesting. System Flaw seemed like a good idea, I just hope this works better than Flaw apparently did.
