@A01 Yes, the DLC will cost money but there was no price confirmed (Martin Sauter simply didn't know but said they will confirm via twitter) and the interviewer basically just speculated. 5-10 euro does seem reasonable though. Besides that they just confirmed already announced facts: retail version includes DLC and will release september 30th for 24,99 euro. Was also asked about games for NX but stressed that he was simply not allowed to talk about it. He did say they were very happy working with nintendo and that they want to release games on their platforms in the future too.
@A01 Easy explanation: Xenoblade doesn't have the CERO equivalent of teen rating in japan (would be a B rating for the age 12+). Instead it has the C rating for the ages 15 and up. In the west the rating systems have a bigger gap (for ESRB it's the choice between 13+ or 17+ and for PEGI it's 12+ or 16+) and sticking to a teen rating often is more viable than getting the mature one. But in this case the inclusion of Bayonetta can very well mean the difference between no age rating or a 12+ one. So i get the concern
Well it's the UK. XCX will most likely have done better in italy, spain, maybe germany. Still: considering what kind of game it is, the platform and nintendos marketing it'll do fairly well and hopefully well enough so Monolith can make the next game.
Uhhhhh I remember having a little steiff teddybear as a child. The quality is really awesome and touching them feels so good. But I also remember the unfriendly sales lady when i tried to touch all the plushies in their store. That said I can't even justify buying a normal steiff toy, not to mention a collectors item.
@TheRealThanos Indeed. It's by the way the perfect example of how NoE does advertising. Get a clip without voice over, no text is a bonus, change the end for each country they deem worthy advertising for and you're good to go to advertise in 6+ countries!
Kinda expected those changes for Lin and I'm ok with it. And it's not really a nintendo thing either and more of a western thing as stuff like that normaly raises the age rating. (removing underwear in fatal frame is a stupid nintendo thing, covering up the 13 year old to get the teen rating is just what every company does)
As long as I'm still allowed to dress up my character whichever way I want I don't really care about it.
So glad they kept the Japanese voiceover in it. I'll decide if I buy it after trying out the demo. Annoyed that there isn't a normal physical version of the game.
From what i can gather a new SMT IV title that comes out next year for the 3DS? Don't really get it but there's gonna be a 10 page interview in the next famitsu.
@scamander Yea, I'm kinda suprised. Hardware + accessories alone take up more space than what is shown here. Not to mention there is always at least one Wii U and a couple 3DS hooked up for play testing and a nice little space to sit down and play. At least in my Saturn Nintendo equally takes up (if not more) space with XBOX and Playstation stuff, only that Nintendo looks the most welcoming.
@Tsurii I actually had gamescom tickets but couldn't attend (and it was only like an hour away from my place). Was close to crying when I heard I could have played Xenoblade X. I really hope NoE is doing at least sme kind of promotion close to its release but I'm not holding my breath.
All in all good line-up though it is basically everything nintendo has to show atm.
Though I have a lot of fond childhod memories thanks to Konami, I haven't cared for them for years now. Even if they continue to make console games there isn't going to be anything I want to play anyway. Afterall franchise teams like the Suikoden team were already disbanded years ago.
For those wondering why people would use it: More payment options, that's pretty much the main reason. You currently only have the credit card and eshop gift card option. Fine if you have a credit card, annoying if you don't. Without a credit card you have to buy an eshop card somewhere else anyway and you can never buy the games directly for the price they are offered due to too much or not enough credit left. There were a couple times where i didn't buy a game for the sole reason of being 1-2 euro short and not wanting to buy a whole new eshop card.
So yes, i would pretty much appreciate this option in europe
That's a really nice option if the prices are the same as the eshop prices. If it becomes avaible in europe it'll will definitely lead me to buying more games.
Decent ad. I actually got curious to see if there were any european ads already out and looked at the french, italian, UK, german, spanish and russian youtube channels with all of them having the overview video but only germany having an actual ad out (5 days old at that and shorter and with an even more annoying voice over guy).
@abe_hikura It is certainly not impossible but one should be carefull:
the problem is not cross platform play between a Nintendo System and PC but basically allowing people to play with Nintendos direct competition (in this case PS3/4). There would have been a Xbox One version for over a year now if Microsoft wasn't being a special snowflake and would permit crossplay instead of wanting their own servers.
For Nintendo it would be a great opportunity: SE does the port, hosts it on their own servers and while you dont have to pay the sub double, people still need to buy the licence for the Nintendo version. Voice chat isn't a concern as their isn't one implemented in the game anyway.
It would even have an advantage over the PS versions as Playstation currently needs you to use the Playstation Network to be able to play.
Frankly a WiiU version would have been possible as it's definitely better as the PS3 but apparently wasn't worth the effort to port over (the Gamepad would have been nice to use with the game)
I would also be careful to read too much "SE support for the NX" into it. Naoki Yoshida basically doesnt have anything to do with the other announcements being made in regards to ports for the NX. He basically is a guy that, if he could, would make this game avaible on every platform and throw everyone onto a single big server. But that certainly is not the reality and while it's a sign that he is open to the idea it's really just his own wish for more people to be able to play
Mh =/ Just to shed some more light to this whole thing: The producer Naoki Yoshida always wanted to put FFXIV on as many platforms as possible resulting in the current PS3, PS4, PC and Mac versions. All playing on the same servers. Microsoft allowing cross platforming between Windows 10 and Xbox One doesn't mean anything as long as they don't open up their policy to allow older windows versions and Playstation to play together. So a Xbox One version is still not happening.
The same goes for any possible version on a Nintendo system. Nintendo would need to allow PS3, PS4, PC, Mac and at that point maybe Xbox One players to play on the same servers. So that ever happening depends on what the NX will really be, hardware specs, costs of a port and Nintendos policy on cross pllatform play.

Re: Video: New Mighty No. 9 Trailer Aims to Bring Back the Hype
Yes, a trailer that tells me 3x in 10secs that the game wants to be fun totally sells me on said game...
...seriously, how can one be worse at this than NoA?
I still don't have any opinion about this game besides not liking the art style. But this is just a bad trailer.

@Jayvir They actually edited the video down to two 30secs (which were released before the full length video) clips which have been used for promotion.

Everytime there is news about the game I'm getting more excited. And with Shin'ens track record I was alread sold form the get go.
I really hope for them that the game is going to be a sucess and they gain more recognition. They well deserve it.
