Looking forward to it. I am definitely excited for the challenge, cause IMO Steamworld Dig wasn't challenging enough! I also love the idea of some more randomization in this game, because I usually only buy games that will last and can be replayed and still enjoyed. Also looking forward to the resource management!
Why does the "Coming Soon" thing on the home page here, say Shovel Knight is coming out on April 2nd when this doesn't even have a confirmed release date?
@Kmno yes, Retro City Rampage is more addictive than GTA Chinatown and it has lots of content. Such as: barber shops to change hair style, hat stores to change hats, garages where you can paint cars and add guns to them, loads of story missions and side missions, a pretty big world with lots of secret places and items, and arcade buildings where you can play mini games with Super Meat Boy, Commander Video, and you can also play as them in free roam mode, including Steve from Minecraft!
I never played the first one, but got this one today. It's a different approach to Tower Defense games-With recources to gather, side quests to undertake, bosses to defeat, and plenty more. The graphics are very good compared to quite a few other Eshop games, and I like the art-style very much. And the combat gets really fun once you start finding new ways to defeat the Grocks, and the Grock attacks get VERY challenging, even on the 2nd attack, and me being a person that loves challenging games, gets me to come back to this game every time I get on my 3DS, with my goal to claim victory and to progress further into the game-discovering new characters and items. Overall I'd give this game a 9/10.
Anyone know if Retro City Rampage is coming to the Eshop tomorrow? I'm okay with the network issues, I have the new Zelda and the new Adventure Time game! I have a feeling that the Eshop will still be slow tomorrow because the many people that couldn't do their Nintendo internet set ups and such, will be trying tomorrow, so this might last a little longer. But if any of you guys are able to get onto the 3DS Eshop tomorrow, could you tell me if Retro City Rampage is finally purchasable.
It wouldn't be Zelda if there was hints. I am probably speaking for all Zelda gamers when i say,we play Zelda for puzzles, and the challenges that lie in each and every Zelda title! Otherwise Zelda wouldn't be so popular, and it wouldn't be where it is if it weren't for the puzzles and the challenges! So don't worry Eiji Aonuma, this Zelda title will be great without a doubt!
@WiiLovePeace its not so easy to make games with it,well, that is if you don't know how to program BASIC,that was the problem with Peit computer, because some people bought it thinking to make awesome games but then they realized that they don't at all how to program with it when they thought it would be so easy! But there is not many tutorials, and, well, there are mostly just tutorials that teach you only how to make text games, but you can just ask people on the forums for help.
@AyeHaley Alright,i took the plunge! I got it yesterday and it is now my favorite game of all time!!! Thank you for making a game with all of my favorite game catagories @ImageForm
@idork99 What monster is it that your stuck at? This is my first Monster Hunter game and i am at the high rank quests right now.(just recently hunted my first Brachydios)
@Gamerjunkie yeah, true, steam is pretty awesome. Its just these people's opinions, there are tons of games that are better than this but the reason most people buy this and many other Nintendo games is just because its their opinion. To them this game is worth it.
@Cotton well this might take some getting used to for beginners like you,it takes patience, memorizing the moves of the monsters, lots of item gathering to combine into potions and traps etc.,and it takes a while to start hunting the big monsters, but i'm sure you'll get the hang of it pretty quick, but there's lots to learn!
@Ramstrong a lot of that is in there for the challenge, its meant to be this way, when an enemy enters a new area and you go after it and then its behind you just wait until it runs over which doesn't take long, and a good tactic is to attack the monster by pressing x and then press y a bunch which makes a combo then put your weapons away start running a little bit to dodge some of the monsters attacks then do the combo that i talked about again.
I will be playing Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate,Petit Computer,3D Classics Kid Icarus, and Terraria is coming out on XBOX on Wednesday(which does not count as the weekend).
