Re: Fire Pro Wrestling Creator Masato Masuda Passes Away Aged 48

Such a crying shame. Loved the Fire Pro games from the SNES to the best of all - Six Man Scramble on the Sega Saturn to the GBA versions. In his honor, we shall not speak of the XBLA atrocity. He was due to be interviewed for the Wrestling With Pixels book (coverage of every wrestling game worldwide that ever came out) by Maffew of Botchamania fame soon as well. RIP Masuda-san.

Re: Microsoft's Phil Spencer Can't Say Enough Nice Stuff About Nintendo

They know it's not the same scene as it was 15-25 years ago where it paid off to explicitly insult your competition. It's all roses and marshmallows these days. Maybe it's because Sega doesn't make consoles anymore but they did the best ragging on competition of anyone. I remember the 2 page ad consoling Sony on their PS2 shipping woes in 2000 with a young boy sticking his tongue out and waving his hands about with thumbs in his ears.

'Course, Sony retaliated by showing Sonic looking dejected in a junkyard over Dreamcast sales but I digress...

Re: Nintendo Download: 5th December (North America)

Grabbed Sonic, Altered Beast, DK3 and the gameboy version of Donkey Kong since it was on sale and I didn't have it yet. 2 more weeks and 4 more awesome Sega games to go even if next week is probably the weakest of the month with Ecco the Dolphin and Galaxy Force II and then we Shinobi III and Streets of RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!

Re: Review: 3D Super Hang-On (3DS eShop)

I do loves me some Super Hang On. First played it in arcades then, of all things, the Commodore Amiga 500 using the mouse. I plan on buying all the Sega 3D games in the next 3 weeks. A proper Sonic the Hedgehog and not that atrocious Sonic Genesis port for GBA? Please and thank you!

Re: Former Naughty Dog And THQ Head Jason Rubin Says Nintendo Is "Irrelevant" In The Hardware Arena

GuitarAnthony

Back in 2001 when Sega deemed they were leaving the console market, Sony and Nintendo jumped for joy. Not because they were losing a competitor but because Sega former exclusives would now be on their systems. Here in 2013 going on 2014, Sony and Microsoft would love for this to happen again. I think "experts" always say Nintendo needs to "expand or die" because of the three console makers, Nintendo is the only one who focuses on videogames. Nintendo always seems to prove them wrong.

Re: Review: 3D Space Harrier (3DS eShop)

I'll readily admit Space Harrier wasn't the greatest but this remake has some nice touches. If anything, It's nice to see Sega delve back into its arcade history they seemed to avoid during the Xbox/PS2 era when arcade collections were all the rage and all we got from Sega were a few games that needed to be unlocked on Genesis/Mega Drive collections. Now...let Sega remake us some Congo Bongo!
