Such a crying shame. Loved the Fire Pro games from the SNES to the best of all - Six Man Scramble on the Sega Saturn to the GBA versions. In his honor, we shall not speak of the XBLA atrocity. He was due to be interviewed for the Wrestling With Pixels book (coverage of every wrestling game worldwide that ever came out) by Maffew of Botchamania fame soon as well. RIP Masuda-san.
I cannot in good conscience pay $5 for Mario Bros. when I've bought it so many other times on other consoles and not even counting the vast dollars I spent on the arcade game.
They know it's not the same scene as it was 15-25 years ago where it paid off to explicitly insult your competition. It's all roses and marshmallows these days. Maybe it's because Sega doesn't make consoles anymore but they did the best ragging on competition of anyone. I remember the 2 page ad consoling Sony on their PS2 shipping woes in 2000 with a young boy sticking his tongue out and waving his hands about with thumbs in his ears.
'Course, Sony retaliated by showing Sonic looking dejected in a junkyard over Dreamcast sales but I digress...
@Ukee PS Vita already has JSR but being able to do the graffiti on the lower screen on the 3DS would be fantastic. Of course, this means to support Sega, I'd have to buy JSR AGAIN (after Dreamcast, Steam, XBLA, PS Vita & Android)
The kind creator Brian Provinciano also just sent me a free Steam code because I pre-ordered last year. I have RCR on Steam and Vita (from another free code he sent out) but I'll get the 3DS version just to support him.
I just wish they would offer better games and more choices for Club Nintendo. I had around 2200 points (until that Luigi figure showed up for 1500) and rarely does anything show up worth getting. Mario Picross? No. It's worse when they offer games that I got for free already from the ambassador program.
Grabbed Sonic, Altered Beast, DK3 and the gameboy version of Donkey Kong since it was on sale and I didn't have it yet. 2 more weeks and 4 more awesome Sega games to go even if next week is probably the weakest of the month with Ecco the Dolphin and Galaxy Force II and then we Shinobi III and Streets of RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!
@cookiex Over at NEOGaf, there was a thread how someone from Rare said Nintendo was jealous of them, wouldn't trust them and how the N64 would have been a failure without them.
EDIT: Apologies. Turns out it was a former Rare staffer, not anyone currently with them.
I got it for Xbox360 and sadly, tons of repetitiveness and got boring real fast. I'm hoping its that their main focus is on Shantae for 3DS as well as the Kickstarter game. As long as those two are great, I can forgive them this game.
Now the people I've never heard of are coming out to talk bad about Wii U. Who is next, the part-timer Sony fanboy Gamestop employee? If people bought Knack, it's because Sony didn't have a lot of decent titles to choose from on first day.
I do loves me some Super Hang On. First played it in arcades then, of all things, the Commodore Amiga 500 using the mouse. I plan on buying all the Sega 3D games in the next 3 weeks. A proper Sonic the Hedgehog and not that atrocious Sonic Genesis port for GBA? Please and thank you!
Rubin can't be blamed for THQ. He was hired to see if it could be saved and then do the sweeping up if it couldn't. He probably took the gig just for the paycheck and his loyalty was presumably very low in that situation.
Back in 2001 when Sega deemed they were leaving the console market, Sony and Nintendo jumped for joy. Not because they were losing a competitor but because Sega former exclusives would now be on their systems. Here in 2013 going on 2014, Sony and Microsoft would love for this to happen again. I think "experts" always say Nintendo needs to "expand or die" because of the three console makers, Nintendo is the only one who focuses on videogames. Nintendo always seems to prove them wrong.
I want Sega to go further back in their history. Zaxxon, Space Fury, Star Trek, Congo Bongo...hell, they have a whole bunch of vector arcade games that would look awesome in 3d/
I'll readily admit Space Harrier wasn't the greatest but this remake has some nice touches. If anything, It's nice to see Sega delve back into its arcade history they seemed to avoid during the Xbox/PS2 era when arcade collections were all the rage and all we got from Sega were a few games that needed to be unlocked on Genesis/Mega Drive collections. Now...let Sega remake us some Congo Bongo!

Sadly, the age of innovation has taken a back seat to the age of litigation. The easy way is usually the fruitful way for these patent trolling scum.

Re: Hardware Classics: Sega Saturn
I wish people would stop referring to Dreamcast as a "failure". I have 250+ games that prove otherwise.

Nothing for me besides the Retro City Rampage update.

Re: Ultra Rare Gold Nintendo World Championship NES Cart Auctioned And Sold For Over $100,000
Some people just have too much money than they know what to do with. It's a cart with 3 incomplete games. They could have bought NES Remix for $15.

I cannot in good conscience pay $5 for Mario Bros. when I've bought it so many other times on other consoles and not even counting the vast dollars I spent on the arcade game.

Nothing for me game-wise. Guess the points sit for another month.

Let me update but can't get into the 3DS shop.
Re: Digital Foundry Heaps Praise on Super Mario 3D World
This game was what made me buy the system just last week. Now, let's see if they can pull off a Zelda and a Metroid at the same level.
