Try to see it from the point of view of someone who really enjoys playing 3-lap races and doesn't enjoy the intermissions. How do you communicate to Nintendo that you want a feature that in theory should be quite easy to implement? That basically was, to a limited extent, before the update?
The exclusion of playing 3-lap races on World's tracks is baffling. It might not make World a 0/10 game, but updating the game to get rid of the one way people had figured out trying to make the game as fun as it should be online was a 0/10 choice on Nintendo's part and people are limited in how they can communicate that to the company themselves. This isn't review bombing like BOTW got, come now. This is people reacting to Nintendo actively sabotaging the game they put out, removing value from it after people had already purchased it.
