Re: Art Academy: Home Studio Listing Suggests amiibo Support

Goob

Here's hoping every single amiibo will be compatible. Don't see why not.

Speaking of which, really, every game where customization exists via amiibo should be compatible with every amiibo (which I'm assuming Yoshi's Woolly World is doing). There's no reason why Art Academy, Splatoon, and Mario Kart 8 shouldn't be compatible with the entire Smash lineup. Same goes for Ace Combat. Heck, even Xenoblade 3D could benefit with some amiibo-exclusive cosmetic changes.

Re: Monster Hunter X (Cross) Confirmed for Japanese Release

@nf_2 Monster Hunter 4 came out in September 2013 in Japan. 4G came out October 2014, and the West got the 4U version in February 2015.
I'm just saying, it might take a while before this game comes to the West (I'd expect a late 2016 / early 2017 release date). Unless you're willing to wait that long for another Monster Hunter game of course.

Re: Review: Splatoon (Wii U)

@CharlyDunst Ehmm... what

This is a review of the full game. NintendoLife, and other known reviewers, got their copy early, a practice that occurs with almost every other game, especially first party Wii U games.

The only reason the review wasn't finished was because they wanted to make sure that the online was stable when non-reviewers play the game. If it was, the review would likely be an 8 or a 9; else, a lower score would have been awareded.

Re: Atlus Confirms Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains Release Date

I noticed Japanese voice acting in the trailer. I wonder if that's just a placeholder or not.

Anyhoo, does anyone know if I buy a download code of this — assuming that they're gonna distribute download codes from the official Nintendo website, which is unlikely tbh — will I be able to register/download it onto my 3DS if I'm less than 17 years old? (yeah yeah, I'm underaged, now shush)

Re: The Legend of Zelda for Wii U No Longer Set for 2015 Release

Goob

There's a chance that they're lying about the "no E3" comment, and then surprising us all when they show Zelda right before the presentation ends, albeit it being highly improbable (hey, I can dream!).

Anyhoo, I don't really get the predictions people make about Zelda Wii U also coming to the NX. Skyward Sword came out 1 year before the Wii U came out, and that wasn't a Wii U game. Plus, they stated that more info on the NX would come be shown in 2016, not that they would actually be releasing it then (the Wii U was shown off in April 2011 and released in 2012), so chances of Zelda U coming to the NX seems very unlikely me thinks.

Re: Digital Foundry Ponders Next-Gen Hardware Options for Nintendo

@TrueWiiMaster I highly doubt that the PS4 and Xbox One will last 10 years. Both are underpowered (neither aren't even capable of 4K gaming), and it will be more than just a challenge to be able to compete with PC gaming. Hell, just take a look at this: http://international.download.nvidia.com/geforce-com/international/comparisons/metal-gear-solid-v-ground-zeroes/metal-gear-solid-v-ground-zeroes-pc-vs-playstation-4-comparison-1.html

If Microsoft and Sony really want to compete with PC gaming, they're gonna have to end their consoles' life spans early; neither home console will be able to stand a chance against PC gaming in a few years.
