One of the most awesome series in the world (according to me); Ys has amazing music, an exciting storyline, quick and fun (if simple) gameplay mechanics as well as beautiful character design and artwork and great equipment/inventory system.
Ys Book I and II is like a dream come true! It's a fantastic experience and it really deserves its five stars I hope it goes well so that Falcom and Konami bring more games in the series here!

Being almost lost for words, I can only say that Super Mario RPG IS what I have been waiting for, besides Secret of Mana and some other pearls of course. And that more people will be able to enjoy the difficulty of Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels is also fun.
Thanks Nintendo, for finally bringing the masterpiece that is Super Mario RPG
Wow, many comments I too, want to say how happy I am that Super Mario RPG will be coming to VC. It's finally time to re-experience this classic game once again, with the wonderful music by Yoko Shimomura!
And after reading some of the posts above (Outrunner's post), I also hope that Nintendo really are working on some storage solution. Thanks for easing that worry Outrunner, let's just hope that it becomes a reality
I can hardly believe what I'm hearing! How can anyone even say such things about longtime and new fans of Nintendo!? It is surely an outrage for all gamers to hear such words from a game company and Nintendo has hit an alltime low with that statement.
Nothing justifies this at all! The limited Wii system memory is not an issue whether or not we are geeks or not, it is simply a question about our interest in games. And if that's not all, the memory capacity really is a problem (just compare to the 360's and PS 3's storage capacity).
No, I'm totally disappointed that anyone from one of the largest and most distinguished game companies in the world has the nerve to make such a statement. They should really discharge Laurent Fischer without further notice for stooping so low.
Ah, okay thanks for the heads-up! I hope we'll get some information about storage possibilities then. And until next week, I too might turn my gaze to some neglected pearls that I have wanted to have some time now, like Toejam and Earl
I too, would have preferred a VC release this week. I don't know what Nintendo is thinking. The roster of games that could be potential VC games is LONG and it would only benefit both Nintendo and gamers alike if more games would arrive in the VC launch days (friday in PAL and monday(?) in USA)
I agree with GamerWho, Wii and Nintendo will have to get better with their customer service to boost the gamer satisfaction. And where is that solution to the harddisk problem!? (when is E3? Might they adress this there?)
Hmm, the again, after watching the movie, it does seem rather repetetive and downright dull. I'll wait for your review Wiiware World, and that will be my deciding factor. Thanks =)
A very fun and engaging game! The music is awesome and the graphics and the presentation are top-notch. But why oh why Hudson, have you not made a fullscale shoot-em-up for us wanting SHMUP-fans? The time-limit is a sad thing, but the game is a great thing. But the question remains, is it really worth 800 points?
Wow, this is amazing. I have always been a true Castlevania follower, and I hope that IGA will bless us with another worthy title besides the wonderful (could they possibly go wrong with one of the best game formulas ever?) upcoming DS game The Order of Ecclesia.
I'm really hoping that Castlevania + Wiiware will be reality. And I hope that Castlevania series continues for many years to come.
Square Enix releasing more games on the Virtual Console would be a dream come true. Just think about playing Secret of Mana with two other persons. That would be wonderful. And also all the other Square Enix pearls from the past! I'm rooting for you Square Enix, go VC, for us gamers sakes.
This is amazing. I can hardly wait until next tuesday, when Wiiware comes to Europe. And by the way moderators, this is an amazing feat and a worthy comrade to vc-reviews (the people making this site are the same as vc-reviews right?)
Anyway, a great endeavour, and my number one Wii online software and news update source on the Internet. You have my sincerest thanks for making great sites such as these
I sure do hope they will reach some sort of storage arrangement for us gamers, so that we can end the hassle of deleting and re-downloading. I'm hoping this will be soon.
I long for the day when I can enjoy the games and not having to delete them all the time. It would be most satisfactory to have a HDD when Wiiware comes out in Europe and the US
That's awesome, only goes to show that RPG:s still maintains the top places among games, and hopefully Wii, 360 and PS 3 will get more RPGs as well. Good work Nintendo Power readers!
Wow! I hope this keeps up and I long for the day we will be able to play the good old C64 games again. It's like a nostalgic dream come true!!! Does anyone know if and when the C64-VC really will be released (with solid confirmation from Nintendo)?
And I totally agree with you buzz_clik, the Commodore 64 music is among the best video game music out there... ahh, those good old memories!!! We have to keep that music alive =)
Mmm.... it is indeed a good game, although not nearly as refined as Phantasy Star IV, which is, by my RPG standards, the best in the series =) Even so, Phantasy Star II is a wonderful game, and deserves some attention.
Oh yeah! Phantasy Star II. This game is a must if you like RPGs and I too hope that we will get two or - three (maybe that's not gonna happen though) games each week instead of one. Go Nintendo! I haven't played Eternal Champions though, is it good?
This is a great game and a must-buy for everyone with the adventure urge =) Amazing, and to think I didn't play this as a kid. Oh well, better late than never! Great stuff Nintendo, keep at it!
How will Nintendo solve the problem with capacity in the Wii!? If you'll soon be able to download such great games, they have to release some sort of external hard drive. Any news anyone!?
Finally some YS!!! Pray hope it will come to both USA and Europe soon! YS is an all-time favorite, what with the amazing music and general awesomeness =)
Yeah, we need it to boost our Metroid flames before Metroid Prime 3 is released 26th of October! I love Super Metroid, it is an undying classic, for all time!
I agree with Mii be you when he says that sci-fi week would have been a blast if the wonderful Super Metroid had been released. I can hardly wait for that one right now, and when I do get it to my VC (when it'll be available), I'll be one happy gamer - not that I'm an unhappy game now though =P
Wii and Virtual Console are wonderful facts of modern video gaming!!!
Yeah, this is a must-have! I've downloaded it and I must say that I love Treasure and all they've done, including Sin And Punishment (although the music in S&A wasn't as good as I had hoped)
I totally agree with Damo's review of Dungen Explorer! It is a great game and a true rival to the old-school Gauntlet games! And as many of you have already stated, playing together with some friends is amazing!
Of course, there are some minor setbacks, but in all honesty, it was released 1989 and games with depth was a thing of the future.

Yes indeed a strange game. I hope it has some deeper meaning to it with a good story.

Wonderful news! Hope we get it soon! Go Earthbound

Great, I really look forward to this. Gotta love shoot-em-ups =) This is good news for Wiiware indeed. I only want some RPGs as well.

Hurray for the Hanabi Festival! Go download Gradius II right now, it's awesome (but hard though)
And congratulations on your family addition Damo, good luck with everything!
