Re: Review: Hello Kitty and the Apron of Magic: Rhythm Cooking (3DS)

GameGoddess32

@Barbiegurl777 Yeah I tried the birthday and picnic games, and they were HORRIBLE..I thought the birthday game could have been something good, but I felt the devs just smashed something together and put it out,I felt like they didn't even try with that game..I know that HK games are geared towards smaller children, but they assume that the younger kids are not that bright, and most kids I know who love HK don't like most of these games because "they're boring"..kids are not stupid, nor do they need to be talked down to,which is what I feel alot of these games for kids do(not just the HK games)...now I do think there needs to be a line between adult content and child content in games, but as I said these devs need to stop assuming that children are "not as smart as adults"....all of those working for these game devs used to be kids at one time,so they need to honestly dig deep and think "what would I like/not like about this game if I were a kid"

Re: Review: Hello Kitty and the Apron of Magic: Rhythm Cooking (3DS)

GameGoddess32

@Barbiegurl777 I was thinking about getting this game..I LOVED Hello Kitty Big City Dreams,it was my favorite since Happy Party Pals
I'm a HUGE HK fan,and this game actually looks pretty decent to me..those other HK games that have come out are, well, boring and stale IMO..the Hello Kitty Kart game could have been better, the controls were horrid(I thought) and the camera movements were erratic and sometimes glitchy and made me nauseated..I really want this game,it looks like it might be good

Re: Return to Popolocrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale

GameGoddess32

I rented it a few days ago and so far I like it ALOT..IMO it does kinda play like Fantasy Life(and like Jake_homs I have way too many hours clocked into it too) but it has the farming elements of Harvest Moon or Story of Seasons..I was excited when this game was announced and thought about pre-ordering it but decided to rent it first..I had pre-ordered HM:the lost valley and I'm sorry that I did,so I didn't want to make that mistake again if this game turned out to be a stinker..but I don't think it is...there are some people who might like Lost Valley but I didn't,and I think the same can be said for this game...it won't be everyone's cup of tea,but I'm glad I gave it a try
I too hope NL does a review of this game,it would be interesting to know what they thought of it

Re: Atlus Shows Off Terrific Launch Edition Extras for Etrian Mystery Dungeon

GameGoddess32

Wow,this looks like a fun game..I've played the other EO titles and I thought they were OK,but not really my type of game. But I will say I loved the graphics they were very colorful, but I just don't like the old school type dungeon crawling..the "Mystery Dungeon" in the title got my attention, because I LOVE the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games
I might pre-order this, the soundtrack and art book look really cool

Re: Fantasy Life

GameGoddess32

I have the digital version, and I LOVE IT!!I haven't stopped playing it since I bought it..I started as a Paladin, moved on to Wizard, and now am a Mercenary..I think it's so cool that you can "job hop" or you can stay with one life..I love everything about this game, and so far haven't seen anything I didn't like

Re: Soapbox: Ignoring The Objectification Of Women In Games Won't Make the Problem Go Away

GameGoddess32

Here is my personal opinion..there are LOTS of other mediums that have been objectifying women for many years..even some Renaissance paintings objectify women..it's nothing new..I'm a woman, and personally I find these kinds of games laughable..like the DoA games, those women are bouncing around, breasts flying, and I find it funny, because it's so out of proportion and exaggerated..now,thankfully they have more bare chested men on TV(and some bare chested women if you watch Showtime) and I enjoy all that man candy..this game is not "pornographic" nor does it objectify women any more than anything else..I say if you want it,buy it..if you don't want it and think it's disgusting, then DON'T buy it..personally I wouldn't,but not because of the bouncing breasts,I find that funny..no one talks about shirtless men on TV being "objectified"..anybody,man or woman will objectify the other sex from time to time,it happens..like Galenmereth said objectification combined with sexuality is necessary, because imagination is necessary for a healthy sex life..some people WILL take it further than just fantasizing, but hey, that's what some humans do because THEY'RE NUTS..

Re: LEGO Friends

GameGoddess32

I kinda like this game...it sort of grows on you.The main game is really short, but you can keep playing to get more cash to buy all the outfits and stuff..I have 85% on it now..it's a very simple game, but IMO it's not shallow like some of the other "girl games"..(cough cough Bratz)..I wish it had a little more depth, but I'm enjoying it..it;s kinda relaxing for me like Animal Crossing is
BTW,does anybody know how to get codes for this game?At the start screen there is a section to input codes like in the other LEGO games, but I don't know where to find the codes to input...

Re: Review: LEGO Friends (3DS)

GameGoddess32

@Kaze_Memaryu Yeah, that's true..I too feel that this game was made with good intentions, but it just fell short in alot of ways..honestly,I was personally looking forward to this game..I came to enjoy the LEGO Friends toys after I played with my cousin and her toys..and,my physical therapist said they'd be good for exercising my hands..I was hoping it would be a cute fun game(which it was) that would highlight how much fun the toys can be..it COULD have been, but to me the game felt rushed in alot of areas..I loved LEGO as a kid,and I love the other LEGO games(except for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes,I was personally disappointed in that game),but I was disappointed with this game only because it wasn't as good as I felt it could be..games for girls shouldn't be "dumbed down" or simplistic..I really wish the developers would see that..maybe they'll make another LEGO Friends game with those things in mind..IMO that series has alot of good ideas in it for a video game

Re: Shantae And The Pirate's Curse

GameGoddess32

I can't WAIT for this!!!!!I downloaded Risky's Revenge back when I had my DSi,and I'm STILL playing it...so I was super excited to hear about this new Shantae game..I want to download it the minute they put it up in the eshop

Re: Review: LEGO Friends (3DS)

GameGoddess32

@ningeek185 Uh,some people do..I'm sure there are lots of little girls who do..I played this game all the way to the end,did you?I don't think you should say something like that unless you have played the game through or at the very least played a little of it..that's your opinion and you're entitled to it,but please don't state it as fact..next time maybe put "IMO" or "in my opinion"..

Re: Review: LEGO Friends (3DS)

GameGoddess32

@Kaze_Memaryu True...I didn't expect this game to be just like the other LEGO games(that would have made it a terrible game IMO) but it was way too short, even for the target audience..I didn't expect to spend 40 hours on it either(that would have also made it a terrible game),I just wish it had had more substance..there's alot more they could have done with the game, like adding unlockable areas,a few more mini games(I kinda enjoyed the mini games),maybe some more unlockable outfits,or be able to make your own outfits..I wasn't completely disappointed in this game, but I wasn't completely satisfied either..and I personally don't think this game is shovelware like another commenter said, that's just unfair..it's not a game for everybody obviously..there are lots of games I didn't like but that doesn't make them shovelware..

Re: Review: LEGO Friends (3DS)

GameGoddess32

@Dyl_73 I played the game, and I personally enjoyed it..the reviewer was right though about the long loading times between screens and the quests were repetitive after awhile..I'm an adult and I enjoy playing with the LEGO Friends sets, and I was kinda hoping for similar enjoyment playing this game..it WAS enjoyable, but it was WAY too short IMO..I think little girls will like this game, but because it's so short and the load screens are long,I don't think they'll spend much time on it..honestly,I was kind of hoping for a LEGO game for girls with more,um,substance..it's not shallow like the Bratz games were, but it felt a little "dumbed down" at times..children are alot smarter than some people give them credit for..I love the Style Savvy games, but even they feel a bit "dumbed down"..I'd like to know what it is with developers that think games for girls should be diluted..but I liked this game WAY more than LEGO Marvel Super Heroes..that game could have been good, but it felt like it was just shoved together..

Re: LEGO Friends Coming to 3DS and DS

GameGoddess32

@edhe They ARE the respectable Bratz..they don't look like high priced "women of the night" who have gotten too many collagen injections in their lips..I'm glad to see those dolls didn't last long..

Re: LEGO Friends Coming to 3DS and DS

GameGoddess32

@Pixel-Perfect I have the game and I personally like it..I'm glad to see Travelers Tales made this game, because of that I figured it would be good..I myself was HIGHLY disappointed in the LEGO Marvel game for 3DS..the consoles look good though..

Re: Review: Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity (3DS)

GameGoddess32

I will say the dialog can be annoying because it's so slow, but other than that,I LOVE this game..when I bought a 3DS,I was hoping for a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game..I got my wish
I enjoyed the series on DS,and I'm enjoying this one too..it's helping me get over my disappointment of the new Castlevainia game

Re: Style Savvy: Trendsetters

GameGoddess32

I loved the first game, and I'm excited to buy this one.The only problem I could see with the first one was the main story was rather short..but I enjoyed creating the outfits
I played the demo and I really liked it,it got me wanting this game even more than I did

Re: Wii U and 3DS Pre-Paid eShop Cards Spotted

GameGoddess32

I think that's cool...I don't really buy and download games for my Wii anymore anyway.I was always annoyed at the fact that I would(as the article said) buy 1000 points when I'd only need like 200.I'm sure I'll buy a WiiU,but I'll wait awhile....maybe until a price drop
