Re: Rumour: Nintendo Is Looking To Release The Wii U In Brazil This Year

Edge_Diest

@DarkAngel_17 actually, there are many people who are going to buy it in spite of the price (you can include me once Bayonetta 2 has been released). When you compare WiiU's price to the PS4's (4000 reais, which mean £1078), it is quite "cheap". But yes, the import fees are terrible around here, which "justifies" the high price. The main problem is that brazilians accept to pay for import goods even when their price far exceeds the one that you would pay by buying one from Amazon, for example (which is not the case of the WiiU)

Re: Rumour: Monster Hunter 4 Delay Is Due To PS Vita Port

Edge_Diest

That may be fake, but the Sony fans were as desperate as us when they were waiting for something related to MH. Let them be happy as well, folks!
The only thing Capcom could be guilty of would be if the Vita's version had extremely higher quality over the 3DS's version. That would show lack of determination to do something good for a Nintendo platform from Capcom

Re: Talking Point: The Blurred Lines of "Collectables" and On-Disc DLC

Edge_Diest

The main question isn't if it's ethical or fair, but how you sell this extra-data. Some games have their (paid) DLCs announced BEFORE their release, and that's bizarre: you're buying a game and you know it's incomplete. However, if they release a game and after some weeks release the DLC, I wouldn't say that it's out of sheer greed. It's just to make the game last longer.

@Bass_X0 Well, yeah, there's a small difference: Skylanders' toys aren't simply characters which are blocked in the game, but they are also memory cards which save your data and make it playable in another one's game. For me, this goes beyond simply locking the character. It's not like I can use him/her in my friend's house if he/she hasn't bought it, right?

Re: Pachter: "I think Nintendo becomes completely irrelevant"

Edge_Diest

I would not say that Nintendo is at its best, but let us be sincere: he went quite overboard. I guess Nintendo should, like he said, focus on it's great first-party titles and support hardcore a little bit. I mean, why would I buy a Wii U when I can play Darksiders 2, CoD and a huge load of "hardcore" software on my computer? =P Specially when there is Steam, which sells games for a much better price then the eShop...
Come back to your origins, Nintendo! =D

Re: Sorry Lost Planet Fans, EX Troopers Isn't Coming To The West

Edge_Diest

@c1pher_c0mplet They never said that it was coming to the West in the first place = If you wanna get mad at them for not bringing every single game, get mad at other companies which didn't localise their products.
Remeber: there are way more videogame companies in Japan than anywhere else (at least their headquarters), and since making a game is expensive, think about localising it! It IS expensive. And they don't wanna gamble with it.
MonHun is coming to the West, so be happy

Re: New Super Mario Bros. 2 eShop Bonus Confirmed for North America

Edge_Diest

@L4DYB4NSH33 Yeah, and don't forget the fact that once you've bought it, there's no way to "lose" it. If you want to delete it, you can always download it again later. The only problem though would be buying for the same price as we would if we got the boxed game, since we wouldn't be paying for any kind of materials, just the game itself
