I'd like to see Vaati in HW. He's been in three games already and he could certainly do a lot of damage with his wind manipulation powers and his only-heard-of skills in wielding a blade.
On the forces of good, I'd like to see Nabooru. She would fit right in with Darunia and Ruto, swinging a couple swords like nobody's business.
Ghoul patrol was never supposed to be a sequel to ZAMN. Halfway through making it, Julie and Zeke were stuck in there...I think it was to boost sales. I'll stick with ZAMN thank you.
(screams) Zombies Ate My Neighbors! Cruddy description but still...ZAMN! This is awesome. ...Now if only I could get my WiFi fixed. Might just wait a bit since I'm still scared of my Wii (not modded) being bricked. Don't care what people say, I'm waiting for the 4.3 update. ...Hopefully before December's end. >>; (Still need to get my free NES game.)
...Just...really want to DL ZAMN soon. @_@ ...Although I'll probably freak a bit on the fifth level.
Wha? But... sigh I don't see why NyxQuest isn't up there anymore. It's truly a great game. Maybe it'll rise again one day, but who knows? And seriously, Word Search? You can get that at a dollar store. And somehow WoG is hanging in there. Virtual fish shouldn't be that fun... The kids'll get sick of it after a little while. /minor rant
Kirby Super Star? Seriously? Awesome. Wish Chrono Trigger would be added. I'd love a chance to play the original version (apparently the PSX version ruined the music...). Jeez, I recall being absolutely hooked on KSS as a kid. The Gourmet Race was a personal favorite. (sigh) I miss the old Kirby days when I blasted through the game as a hyper little kid. If they're bringing the old classics back when there are remakes out...then maybe Yoshi's Island stands a chance?
Zombies Ate My Neighbors please. I so enjoyed it as a kid...until the chainsaw maniacs showed up. Oh well. Still, the terrifying moments of my childhood were what made ZAMN an unforgettable game. I'd love to play it now and have that nostalgia take over as I go through 'Titanic Toddler' and 'Weird Kids on the Block' (just to name a couple) once again. Edit: The SNES version would be preferred. >>
YES!!! Finally! Sweet justice! I actually squealed seeing the article. XP (Yes, I'm a girl. I'm allowed to squeal.) O_O Now I just need to get my Wii hooked up on Monday. Time to make some calls and start planning some multiplayer.
Man... Looks like the veterans are left in the dust. The VC was the only reason I kept the Wii at one point. Without StarFox 64, Super Mario RPG, and a few others, I would have sold the system a long time ago (probably regretting it too since I still love to play Smash Bros. from time to time).
Don't ignore the games and systems that made Nintendo successful in the first place! Jeez... (And yes, they're updating too much at once.) Focusing on WiiWare is nice for new developers that may make something worthwhile (still waiting on Nyxquest in NA), but it's mostly...ick on WW (imo).
I needed to add this. NiGHTS into Dreams... (Sega Saturn) Seriously. I'd love to see this on the VC. We don't have the PS2 port (it's apparently not available outside Japan), so this would be the next best thing. Only 3 other people listed this game... Come on! We have JoD, so why not NiD? ^^ (I realize the Saturn isn't on the VC, but new systems are added now and then. Maybe the SS could join it... /hint hint/)
Awesome. Too bad my points are already reserved for some other games. Edit: 5700 total for the DLC? 6700 if you add in the cost of the game. Um...I think I'll stay away from this one... The DLC might become too tempting and I'm not rich.
I heard Klonoa got gold for it's sales (source: ign). Let's hope there's another Klonoa game. I even managed to track down one of the few last copies of Klonoa 2 in my city. This game series rocks. (Oh, and Wahoo! Stepping Wind!)
Ah...This is good... I've been waiting for this... (Well, this, Konami, and a WiiWare Klonoa game from Namco/Bandai.)
Earthbound (SNES) Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (SNES) Kirby Super Star (8 games in 1!) (SNES)
And if somehow Nintendo can reason with Rare/Microsoft...
Donkey Kong 64 (Jetpac is the main problem here I guess.) Banjo-Kazooie Banjo-Tooie
The only ones that are left on my list are by Konami, but are on Nintendo systems. Zombies Ate My Neighbors (SNES) Castlevania 64 Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness (N64)
I just looked it up since I remembered the games, but the GBC games (Oracle of Ages and Seasons) were brought to us by Nintendo and Capcom. Unfortunately, those two would most likely appear on the DSi's shop or something... (Don't know how the shop is since I don't own a DSi.) I'd be nice to see those two again.
@Kevin (78) - Zombies Ate My Neighbors was released by Konami, not Sega. It's a good game but I'd rather see it on the SNES.
@Klaarover (91) - It may be because I played the SNES more than the Genesis, but the SNES version seems better. We just have to hold out.
Sorry Sega, but I was a SNES fan as a kid, although I did own a Genesis (Sonic 3 + Knuckles was a favorite mostly because of the save feature). Heh. I died a lot when I wasn't Tails and I couldn't sit there for hours trying to do everything in one playthrough. ^^; I support the lock-on feature (if possible on the VC). I have everything I want on the Sonic Mega Collection, but that doesn't mean I won't support the games in SMC being released on the VC. ^^ Lock-on feature all the way.
And on the off chance Konami is listening/reading things on Nintendolife (and other places where this game is mentioned), Zombies Ate My Neighbors on the SNES would be nice please. I can hear those chainsaws revving up once again...
Oh wow... My cousin and I loved the first one (she even drew D real quick after a few hours of playing). A sequel would be great to see in the US, and if this has anything to do with D, I'll be happy. [ Edit I say this because it looks like some of those flashbacks were of Blood Edward Island.] Hey! NoA! When are we getting this?
@KDR_11k True. But I'm satisfied with the version NA already has. A little irking at times because of the whole flashlight/lamp deal, but still enjoyable when you finally figure out that one frustrating puzzle...then meet a new one seconds later. ^^ Regardless, I'm glad Europe's going to finally get this game.
Hmm... I suppose this will be easier to an extent, but I'm sure there are players who want to have the challenge of using the "A" button correctly like in the NA version. (It could get a tad difficult with the third boss pressing the "A" button at the wrong time or area.) Although, I suppose there will still be gamers who want to play a version where turning on a lamp won't be accidental when using the flashlight. All in all, it's a good game, and it's still hard in the extra mode. (Trying not to spoil anything.)
I'm really looking forward to this game. I may just hold off on VC/WiiWare games for awhile until I get this.
@ mastersworddude Actually, even English dubbing can be done well if the voices are just right. Odin Sphere, one of Vanillaware's previous titles, had excellent voice acting imo. It also had a lovely opening theme that was soothing to the player.
^^ I love this game. It was the first game I ever played when I was little and even after defeating it (on the VC) and seeing "The End" I still wanted to play. It just keeps sucking you in...
Hmm... I played Majora on the N64 and never finished it, then I got the GCN one and beat the boss (I did it the easy way...not very fun or fulfilling doing it that way). If I had enough points, I might've gotten it for the VC. However, I have 2 WiiWare titles on my list first, so they get top priority over Majora (sadly). When I do finally get them, I'll make a memo on the Wii to get this one. I have to say, the fourth dungeon...is really difficult. Imo, I would have liked to have seen Earthbound or the Dreamcast "console" get on the VC, but maybe some other time.
@ hobbes Okay, I don't know where these rumors of "not saving" came up from. The only saving is your high score as well as any medals you unlocked. I've been playing the VC version of Star Fox 64 and it's awesome. ^^ Saving right in the middle of the adventure...well, it's not needed. It takes the average player about 45 minutes (at least in my opinion) to get through one arc, so what's the point? And that's the easy route assuming that the player doesn't die a whole lot. @ MickEiA No, there is no level select. That would (to most people in my opinion) defeat the purpose and fun of the game.
There's plenty of replay value here people. Don't sell it short. You would have to go through it at least 3 times to see every world, and that's if your skills are good enough and you know the way to access the next world. Not to mention Expert Mode that opens up after getting every last medal. Think Corneria was easy? Think again! In all, I think this game is great even after years of not playing the original. ^^

Re: What Capcom games do you want to see on the Virtual Console?
First Sega, now Capcom. Really hoping Konami's next. As well, I hope Capcom is keeping an eye on the comments here.
Resident Evil 2 (N64)
I also support Mega Man games coming down the pipes a tad bit faster for the fans. ^^

@malnin Not a great idea since he has Gregg on his side. ._.
Inany case, MLaaDL seems like a good one. If it's cheaper than MLaaK then I just may get it.
