It's time to take a look at the most popular WiiWare titles available on the Wii Shop Channel. If you're feeling adventurous you can even take a look for yourself by simply logging on to your Wii Shop Channel, heading into the WiiWare section and then viewing "Popular Games". It's that easy!
We compile this list using the USA region Wii Shop channel, so if you live elsewhere your list will probably be quite a bit different. Please feel free to post your region's findings below as always.
Keep in mind that the list below is a measure of actual sales made recently, not of the total time the game has been available for sale.

* [-] - Denotes a game that was not on the Top 20 last week
Contra Rebirth continues its dominant hold on the #1 spot. In fact the top six games remain unchanged from last week. We also didn't see this week's WiiWare title Gravitronix make an appearance on the chart. We'll just have to wait until next week to see if it can break into the Top 20.
The big climber this week was Word Searcher, which came flying up from off the chart completely, all the way up to #9. The big dropper this week was You, Me, and the Cubes, which fell six spots to #13.
This week also brough the debut of Word Searcher. Of course that meant that Family Tennis had to drop off of the Top 20 this week.

I can't believe so many people have bought that word search crap, WHEN THEY COULD JUST BUY IT IN THE STORE. (sorry for the caps, just the way I feel) Also, glad to see Contra is still holding out against the fishing game.
Arkanoid Plus was once higher than Driift Mania now its going down fast
uh... You spelt Driift wrong. I want some of this stuff.
Word Searcher is climbing the charts while You, Me and the Cubes is dropping!? WTF!?
@minial The game is called Driift Mania with 2 i's.
Wha? But... sigh I don't see why NyxQuest isn't up there anymore. It's truly a great game. Maybe it'll rise again one day, but who knows? And seriously, Word Search? You can get that at a dollar store.
And somehow WoG is hanging in there. Virtual fish shouldn't be that fun... The kids'll get sick of it after a little while. /minor rant
Right, Wednesday again. Let's check Mexican WiiWare Top 20. And the winners are...

20 (-) - BUBBLE BOBBLE Plus!
Well, the biggest climber this week is for TV Show King, straight to the 14th spot after a couple weeks out of the chart. DRiFT Mania, World of Goo and Defend Your Castle are also getting better positions.
As usual, the three top spots haven't changed at all.
And in the dropers side, You, Me, and the Cubes, Family Tennis and (at last!!!) both poker games are losing terrain
We say goodbye to Water Warfare (for a little while, I supose) and 3-2-1, Rattle Battle! We'll miss you (...).
And now, VC Top 20:
1 (1) - Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)

18 (12) - Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (N64)
19 (17) - Yoshi's Story (N64)
20 (16) - Pokémon Snap (N64)
First thing first. I give a very great welcome to NES' classic Final Fantasy, which is getting the 14th position in it's firts week in this chart. I hope this game will be here for a very long time...
And, as usual here too, the top 9 spots has no movements. Pac-Man, Donkey Kong Country and SMB.: The Lost Levels are the climbers for this week; and the great drops are for Super Mario RPG and Kirby 64 (sorry for that, SM RPG; really)
Farewell, Super Metroid (for this week, at least).
And that's all for now. See you next Wednesday!!!
I really want Driift mania but I'm afraid my roommates won't be into it and it seems like it'd be sad as a single player. Someone talk me into it.
I"m not suprised by wordsearch, though. Cheap and an age old formula, whats not to like if you're a middle age person who just got your wii for Wii fit or something.

Well two weeks of no new releases means two of the most recent WiiWare releases are actually a few weeks old, but have surprisingly broken into the charts. Whether or not that's because there's been nothing new to buy remains to be seen, but possibly Nintendo should think about spacing out new WiiWare titles to give them a chance if this is the result as the list is crowded with titles that seem to be hanging in there for a long time.

FFIV: The After Years has also seen its day...
