People who voted for Trump and people who said the initial price was high because of tariffs have now both gone very quiet, maybe they’re just really busy!

This is obviously marketing lies, LCD panels haven’t made any huge improvements and are still miles behind OLEDs in every way imaginable.

I’ll be waiting for the inevitable OLED refresh in 2027.

@Theghostofkeithmoon it really sucks as I was so damn hyped after the direct, even if the launch titles weren’t all to my taste, it seemed like such a big jump in hardware and some of the games were amazing like MKW.

Nintendo shot themselves in the foot when they had the easiest open goal to win another generation.

Sony PS3 vibes are very high.

@BTB20 Kirby and SMPJ are the two upgrades I totally get being 20 as it’s essentially a whole DLC tacked on.

But some other games locking the performance toggles behind a paywall doesn’t sit right with me, especially when that now correlates with MSRP for these old games being raised to new levels.

Naive parents buying something nice for their kids will suffer through a convoluted system.

I hope this console fails with its predatory bundle FOMO, absurdly high game and accessory pricing, all over the place enhanced game upgrade schemes and the worst DRM for games used since the disastrous Xbox One pre launch ideas.

This is nothing but greed and overconfidence, and the fact you’re almost playing it off as a sad thing that consumers actually have a backbone and won’t support industry crashing practises is insanely out of touch on your behalf and quite frankly sickening.

The amount of corporation defending here is baffling:

“I was hoping for 5-10 but 20 is fair!”

Not to mention how that’s a dangerous precedent to set, and now how games like BOTW that are 8 years old are now back to a new high of £70 retail is bloody insane. I don’t know anyone can defend the way these upgrades are working for some of these titles.

It’s now also been confirmed TOTK, Super Mario Party Jamboree and other Switch 2 editions of games will also cost 80 DOLLARS NEW

Anyone who is defending this is awful, and I hope that Nintendo either reverse course, or if they don’t, have another Wii U disaster level situation, but I fear too many people will lap up whatever predatory pricing Nintendo dishes out.

This is awful and anti consumer, some of you don’t realise what Nintendo have just allowed other publishers to do.

@axelhander it’s a disgrace, I would call out the other companies like I always do, but with Nintendo it seems you can’t critique.

Nobody talking about the predatory prices for games, if this was any other gaming company you’d be in arms.

I was excited for the Switch 2 but this is awful and will affect the whole industry.

True lovers of gaming support Pocketpair, Nintendo are brutes with these lawsuits and need to be shown they can’t bully people into conforming.
