Re: Game Originally Planned For Wii U, Then Switch, Winds Up As A PS5 Timed-Exclusive

CidMaik

I've been following this game for about 4 years now...and while I do understand where people come from with the anger of the devs making this deal with SONY, they also need to understand that SONY not only got exclusivity deal, they are also helping with development now.

Also, in their kickstarter main page, the very last lines say that they would eventually strike deals with publishers, for marketing reasons or others.
Do this means they shouldnt honor their promises to backers? Of course not, they have to honor them or they should put a refund for those who want em.

What I want to get is that they did do a heads up 5 years ago and that without this deal...this game might have never seen the light of day.

On the topic of caricature that's supposed to be racist, I personally don't see the problem...but I understand where it comes from. But people need to understand that sometimes...a person's work ain't out there to insult you in any form.

I wonder how my fellow country men feels about the protagonist of "The Ballad of Gay Tony" which depicts what many (unfortunately) people from my country do when they get to New York.
I didnt feel anything back then, cause it was a work of fiction, even if it was based in many realities...those do not represent myself of those of my country.

And as a PoC, that caricature does not represent me or my ancestors. I am not the supposed bad things that NPC is supposed to have and I see it just as what it is, a work of fiction. Even if its based on real things...I bet it doesnt represent the whole lot of it, just parts.

And finally, to the person who argued that black characters should be voiced by blacks...I guess you were damn pissed off that Kratos from God of War was voiced by a black...

Re: How Well Do You Know The Legend Of Zelda?

CidMaik

I got an 8 out of 10 I think I did great considering I dont revisit games . _ . How would I remember Talt was the fairy companion's name in Majoras Mask, I just remembered it was with a T that started.

Re: You Can Only Have One Island Per Console In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

CidMaik

@Chibi_Manny High likely chance? Its been confirmed there is no cloud saving for Animal Crossing New Horizons. Why? Nintendo's devs stated they dont want people to use the time cheat to work in the game, something that the cloud saving could do? (I truly dont understand the reasoning but hey...) so yeah, we should be extra careful with that data.

Re: You Can Only Have One Island Per Console In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

CidMaik

@jedikitty If you can play local wireless (although they havent said anything about that? Gotta check) then you dont need to get a Nintendo Switch Online Subscription to play with your other friend or visit its island.

The game lets you have 1 save data per console and all accounts (up to 8 accounts) on said console can make a house in game and play on the same screen together.

So if you both want your OWN island, you need two switches and if you dont want to be swapping cardtridges all the time, get 2 copies of the game too.

Re: The Switch Is "Teetering On The Brink Of Becoming Outdated", Says The Financial Times

CidMaik

@Spoony_Tech the analyst seems that only looked at the Japan side of the marketing, where each passing year seems to be harder and harder to keep the consumers stick to it. But thats because Japanese are constantly moving.

At any rate, this analysis would be called bullocks and other things considering. How could Nintendo face such struggles when its latest console cathers to those who are on the go, those who like to use a TV as well? The advent of cloud gaming poses a threat? Lets ask Google Stadia how that is going.

These analysis just wants to scare possible inversionists away or to be wary, when the general market seems healthy.

Re: Nintendo Switch Hackers Claim to Have Made Key First Step

CidMaik

@Equinox
If my memory serves me right...when the Xbox 360 was released, the very next day a YouTube video came, this YouTube was a tutorial on how to hack the system and pirate games on it.

I remember my friends who bought them at release, a month or so after one of said friends had tons of games pirated already.

Nintendo have been fighting piracy since the GameCube days and they have succeeded to a degree with strict policies such as permanent bans and keeping updates.

They have the kernel, now let's see how much it takes to make things actually work.

Re: Report Points to Nintendo NX Manufacturing Ramping Up in Q4 2016

CidMaik

Well it makes sense they start building it around that time.
What I really dont get is why people is worried about the X1 chips.

When the NX was announced back in 2014, a rumour said it would "use industry leading chips" or powerful ones, that was in 2014...guess what? The X1 was indeed at the time a leading chip.

Anyways, does anyone knows when Nintendo plans to reveal or talk more about the mobile games? Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem.

Re: Sources Suggest That Pokémon and Mario Will Arrive on Nintendo NX in First Six Months

CidMaik

People can't think that a "new" Pokemon game can hit the NX...
Guess what; the new Pokemon game might be the remake of Gen IV, since the GBA game freak made it a trend, release a new gen then remake a previous gen within the year that new gen came out.

As for the between the PS3 and PS4 power, the WiiU already fills that category, the NX at least has the PS4 power.

Finally that comment that was made, is this person saying that the PS4 players are graphic junkies? That they only care about photo realistic games with lots of blood?
I really don't understand what this person meant by that.

Re: Video: Eurogamer's NX Rumours and What They Mean for the Next-Gen System

CidMaik

@kobashi100 that's quite simple man, if the NX is capable of running The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, that's a "last gen" console a game.
Then people will immediately think that the NX is indeed a home console, or a hybrid console.

The way Eurogamer and Digital Foundry is putting the NX is that is indeed a handheld with lots of power, but just like YouTubers have said, I feel there is missing information.

I am one of those who consider this is a hybrid and not a powerful handheld. Maybe not as powerful as current base gen home consoles, but that's capable of enough to also have games on the go; with is freaking amazing on its own accord.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo NX Deal Is A Vindication Of Nvidia's Shield Program

CidMaik

Well just made an account just to say my two bits.
Yesterday when the rumours hit I was overly worried, but thinking things through this is just the same Nintendo we have seen over the last decade, a company thats trying to do its own thing which is not necessarily bad but I wished devs and gamers would give it more chances.

Power wise it seems the system is at least more powerful than the WiiU, that's a given, when has ever been a console less powerful than its previous interation?
If the X2 chips are true then it means the mobile set of the gaming device might be as powerful as a PS4 which is amazing.

Imagine if the "dock" (I don't consider it a dock, it's a computing device which will power up the mobile component, just like it happened with the N64 and the removable RAM) gives even more power, then it might be true that NX is on par with the PS4, hitting the Neo.

This can be only true since Sonic 2017 is coming to all platforms, which is a good sign. Also remember that Square-Enix said Dragon Quest XI is coming to NX.

Since this is a hybrid, it means that handheld and console comes to the same system. Good, now I can play monster hunter on the go and when I want to see it big screen, I can do that, I can play bravely default 3 just the same and finally Pokemon on the big screen.

Then it comes to homeconsole component, if the mobile is as powerful as a PS4, that means I can play breath of the Wild on the handheld component, which is awesome

And the chip is freaking Nvidia, these guys make good stuff; what's happening with Nintendo and the chips is that we are suffering from Comfort Zone complex, since everyone went AMD this gen, going elsewhere is outside the zone, that's scary stuff.

And no one has said that the Tegra chips are hard to port, no one said Tegra chips don't support unreal engine 4 or the other engines that "matter"

My truest concerns are: price, battery life, social media (that's a given today) and if I can have the option to use a pro controller when I'm home.
If this is like a tablet, guess what...it's the only tablet you can play Nintendo games on, and if it support mobile gaming...kaboom! Parents will want it, it plays Nintendo games and Pokemon Go on a single unit.

So I will stop getting scared and hop off the "powerhouse" wagon now and be more open minded about NX, it plays Zelda...that's the only thing that matters to me right now.
