I'd like release dates for Battle Princess Madelyn, Fox n Forests, Wonder Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, and '90s Super GP. It'd be great to see some older titles that kicked off the indie scene like Limbo, Fez, and Braid get a release on Switch.

Looks ok, still waiting for 90s Super GP (previously The 90s Arcade Racer) to be released though.

KOF '95 is a nice game.

Great music as is the case with all Sunsoft NES games.

Control pad moves cursor and character. Y to shoot, B to jump and X for bomb. Controls are very good actually as the stages are pretty static (only a tiny bit of scroll).

Good game, but not as good as Blood Bros. in the arcade.

Hilarious voice over at the title screen.

I agree, but I always get nervous when I hear plans changing so drastically during a dev cycle. Never a good sign.

This shows a company that doesn't know what it is doing, has no clear plan in place and will lose the fans it had on Wii by going multi platform.

I have lost all faith in Famitsu now. This is a 7/10 game. I hope Bayonetta is actually good now that I hear this.

The music is better than the garbled SNES version in my opinion but it's a matter of taste. An excellent port.

Capcom vs SNK 3 obviously. Quite why nobody has mentioned it so far is baffling me.

I don't know of many other NES games with scrolling backgrounds as good as that to be honest. This is on my radar.

Video games companies don't care about you or me or what we want. They only want your money. We would all do well to realise this.

What an insightful and well written article. One of the problems with video games is that they are not classified in the same realm as other media. They are not widely respected or treated as legitimate works but more as toys. I am all for petitioning your local representative, but I am afraid this is akin to discussing quantum physics with your 6 year old niece.

My beloved VCR has been taken over by IGN. Oh well.

Yep it was Capcom, great game. I'd love to see Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Captain Commando an Final Fight. I wonder if games from SEGA AM2 like Daytona USA, Virtua Fighter etc would be possibilities.

No Circus Charlie?! I loved that little game. I would love to see newer arcade titles getting on there too. It's a shame though that due to licensing issues we may never see the likes of TMNT etc.

@ Drake Yeah you are right I suppose. Of the two though, get the PC Engine version guys. There's a cheat code in it to use a full English translation too. Don't know why it never got a Western release.

Excellent list Corbie and well done for choosing the games YOU rate most highly. There are some excellent games on this list and I must say Simon's Quest was one of my favourite games I owned for my NES. The music is truly superb.

Thanks deadly.by.design, that sounds like I would like it. Turn-based stuff has absolutely no appeal to me at all. I'll give this a go.

I'm a big fan of Legend of Zelda ALTTP and not really into traditional RPG's. Is this more similar to the Zelda/Neutopia style of adventure game? I would definitely try it if it is.

Downloaded this game yesterday evening and I must say it is a breath of fresh air (no pun intended). Graphically beautiful, minimalist, relaxing and atmospheric music and some of the best use of gesture based controls by a third party developer so far on Wii. Couple this with the fact that it is made by a small, independent UK developer and I am one happy gamer. Already looking forward to Lost Winds 2. Developers: take note.

All we need now is World Heroes Jet to make the first two World Heroes games obsolete. Yey!

It's a brand new game, using sprites from the originals, has new or redone stages, has Adam from SOR1 as a playable character...the list goes on!! Basically it has all the best bits from the originals and more! It's freeware so there is NO excuse!!

I hope it is the Master System version of Sonic the Hedgehog. I was just playing it recently and the graphics and music are impressive for an 8bit game. It is significantly different enough to warrant a VC release IMO.

Why get this, when you will no doubt be able to get World Heroes Perfect at a later stage? Same goes for Fatal Fury 1 and 2 when Fatal Fury Special will be released. Yawn. I grow tired of the VC.
