@Munchlax "some kind of synergy or a unique strategy" doesn't necessarily equate to "more challenging and interesting" bosses. It would be cool if instead of types gyms were built around certain strategies (stall, entry hazards, etc). But if it's all built on the foundations of Pokemon's single player campaign, it's still gonna be brain dead easy. Just a different flavor of easy.
@Munchlax You'd also have to account for the game's difficulty scaling. The early trainer battles and early gym leaders can't all have well crafted, perfectly balanced teams.
@calbeau What a fun coincidence! I live in the Philippines too. Not to get off topic in the comments but my family and I are heading up to Baguio today. I definitely understand where you're coming from. Those types of games are really popular here. But I'm sure plenty of other Filipino gamers who enjoy single player experiences. It can't just be us two.
@calbeau Single player games are still selling millions of copies. Some of the most anticipated AAA games coming in the next few years are single player experiences. I don't know where you got the impression that you're a dying breed.
I don't agree with most of the items on this list, but Accessible Team Building? Yes. Definitely. Absolutely. I've said it before on other websites and discussion forums. If the process of putting together a team is more difficult than it is on Pokémon Showdown, then it's too difficult for me.
I'm planning on buying a gaming PC next month, so this around this time next year I might get a lot of use out of the Steam Deck. I thought about just getting a Steam Deck instead of a gaming PC altogether, but preordered units won't be available til Q1 2022 I think. But still very much interested, here's hoping I'll have the extra cash in 12 months or so.
@danemord as one of those people, I can say that I'm genuinely surprised. Of course, this new model doesn't seem to have 4K or any increase in performance when docked like people were so sure of before E3 season, when the rumors were at a fever pitch. So maybe we can just buy the White Dock and Joy Con for our non-OLED Switches.
It'll be hilarious when E3 season comes and goes and there's still no Switch Pro reveal. And SO MANY people are so sure that it's happening this year, just like last year and just like the year before.
Music has this problem too. Remember in 2019 when Lil Nas X's Old Town Road was removed from the Country Music Charts by Billboard because it "wasn't country"? That sparked a huge debate about what songs should and shouldn't be considered "country music" and the importance of genre categorization as a whole.

@Chocobo_Shepherd Yes! Thank you! My God I feel like I was going crazy. I get that EA is an easy target, but jeez.

@Browny Coromon does both of those things. The Switch release got delayed but there's a demo for it on Steam.

@NikHogan good thing doxxing has NEVER been a problem for the gaming community, right?
Re: Random: 'Twice For Nintendo Switch' Twitter Trend Leaves News-Hungry Fans Disappointed
@Chlocean We're in the gaming fandom. None of us have any right to paint K-Pop fans with such broad strokes. That would just be hypocritical.
