In my humble opinion, Punch Out!! was one of the greatest NES games ever made. I hope Little Mac becomes a playable character in the next Smash Brothers game...
It's mine unless I have to pay a monthly fee. Honestly, although the DQ fanbase has been steadily growing in North America and Europe, I'm not sure if there would be very many of them willing to fork over a monthly fee here in the west. Japan can do it because, well, it's DRAGON QUEST, in Japan, everybody goes ape-sh*t for Dragon Quest everything. Here, it's a different story.
@Pichuka97 "I wish somethong like that happened to Nintendo for once so we could play GBA games on 3DS."
It did. It's called being a 3DS ambassador. I got 10 free GBA games just for buying my 3DS when it came out (plus 10 free NES games as well). If you missed out, I feel sorry for you, but I guess the early bird catches the GBA games.
As a Nintendo only gamer, I'm very happy whenever a third party game is released on Wii U that was released previously on PS3 and XBox. I really enjoyed Batman: Arkham City and my brother really liked Darksiders II. It might, however, be smarter to release these games on the eShop for a fair price instead of making them full retail games. That being said, if the game interests me, even if it was previously released on PS3 or Xbox, I'm going to buy it since I haven't had the opportunity to buy it before.
@ouroborous They can't just upload every game from the Wii VC to the 3DS VC - Every game requires work to function on the 3DS. Controls need to be formatted, the Save State feature added, and I'm sure all sorts of technical stuff has to be done in order for the game to work on a 3DS. It really isn't that easy. And, realistically, the 3DS VC was mostly meant to be used for GB and GBC games. They gave ambassadors 10 great GBA games and 10 NES games, so I was personally very happy. GBA games becoming avaliable to all seems unlikely since the 10 they gave the ambassadors are exclusive to ambassadors. Also, I'm not sure if Nintendo is planning to launch SNES games on the 3DS, but that seems much more probable than GBA games. And concerning NES games, I have to say that I personally believe that most of the decent NES titles are already avaliable. I own all of my favourites (Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Punch Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream, among others), and the only games I'd really like are the original 3 Dragon Warrior games, although the GBC versions are preferable.
The Nintendo World store is great for streetpass - I picked up a whole bunch of people while I was there last year during a trip to New York. While checking out thier little museum, I also saw the legendary Gameboy that was damaged during a bombing in the Gulf War yet still works.
Considering that I am very fond of law, it's a wonder I've never played the Ace Attorney games... I've always been meaning to try them, but I never had the opportunity as of yet. If they released them on 3DS, I'd almost certainly buy it.
@3Dash I completely agree with you about the controls of Kid Icarus: Uprising. Whenever people complain about the controls I just facepalm and shake my head slowly. I for one had absolutely no trouble with the controls. I've played Metroid Prime: Hunters, and the controls are similar, so it felt very natural to me. For the first few levels I was a tad shaky, but I soon got the hang of it and can't imagine playing it any other way. And why do people complain about the dialogue? Yeah, there is quite a bit, but the game doesn't just STOP! You hear the dialogue during battles! I loved the dialogue, it was witty, genuinely funny, and the voice acting was well done. Honestly, if you hate it so much, quit your infernal whining and mute your 3DS. Then you don't have to here it, and just ignore the text if you're that dead set against the dialogue.
As for Skyward Sword, well, it isn't only my favourite Zelda game, but probably my favourite game of all time. The boss fights were exceptional (Koloktos anyone?), I personally had very few problems with the controls (I think it might have to do with where you are located relative to your TV, which is why some people had control issues), and I thought that the story was very well done. Also, I liked the graphical style WAY more than Twilight Princess.
I think that if PETA is against killing whales in Assassin's Creed they should also be against killing people in Assassin's Creed. Humans are animals too!
I would normally be all over this sort of game, but the walking animation looks awful and I counted a couple times in the trailer where parts of characters seemingly pass through other characters. Hopefully they'll fix it up before releasing it.
@Tsuchiya Fair enough. Some advice: if you don't want to annoy anyone, try not to blatantly insult one of the most beloved figures in all of gaming on the site where people are likely to get upset (this IS a Nintendo news site, after all). You're probably getting harrassed because you weren't exactly respectful with your statements about Mario. And while I feel bad that you're getting bothered by some loser on Miiverse and on PS3, I can't help but feel that your posts were bound to attract some sort of negative attention. Heck, they put me into Fanboy Defense Mode (the way I get when people really start bashing Nintendo without adequate evidence or statistics to back up their points) and I'm just a regular ol' fan, not some sort of uber-fanboy who worships Nintendo. My point is, opinions are fine and dandy to have, but if you pull them out in the wrong place without being extra careful, bad things might happen. For example, although I'm an athiest and refuse to believe in the existance of any diety, I certainly wouldn't walk into a church with a megaphone and tell people that I think that their religion is BS unless I wanted to be ripped apart by angry church-goers. All I'm saying is, although this guy that is harrassing you is clearly taking things WAY too far, if you were more careful with your opinion (and the intensity of that opinion) and where you shared that opinion, you'd be much less likely to be contacted by people such as the person who is bothering you. Fanboys will be fanboys, and if you can't accept that and be a little bit more tame when stating certain opinions (or at least providing slightly more evidence to back these opinions up)... well, perhaps another gaming news site would be more suitable for you. I hope that all is resolved with the miscreant from Miiverse/PS3. Regards, Captain Balko.
The flashdrives look kind of neat, although the USB wouldn't fit if my laptop was on a table because the USB port is maybe an inch from the bottom of the laptop and I judge those flashdrives to be a couple of inches in radius.
@LavaTwilight In North America children cannot buy games that are M for Mature (17+) until they are 17. Of course, like any form of media, there are ways of getting around this. I've seen too many stupid parents buy six year olds Grand Theft Auto or something equally as violent despite the clerks at Gamestop saying, "This game is incredibly violent, has lots of swearing, and even partial nudity. It SHOULD NOT be played by children," to which the parents reply, "Oh, it's okay, his dad lets him play these kind of games," or "Well, he already has other violent games," or something else that shrugs it off. I've seen this happen quite a few times, and want to know how many times the parents put the game (or games) back? Zero. None. Not one mom or dad of a young child decided to heed the warnings of the Gamestop clerk and not give their child a game that contains heavy violence, glorifies drugs (in some cases), nudity, and other things that could negatively influence a young kid. It baffles me. This reminds me of another story. I work as a swim instructor for kids of all ages. I like to be friendly with the kids, so I ask them how their weekend was, how their day at school went, et cetera. Anyways, I asked one ten year old how his long weekend was once, and he replied, "It was really bad!" I asked him why. He said, "I regret getting a game that I wanted." I asked him what game. He tells me, "It's called Dead Island. It's really scary. I didn't know it was going to be this scary." Although I've never played Dead Island, I've seen a few trailers and watched my friend play it for a while. I'm pretty sure that a ten year old shouldn't be playing it. I asked him who bought it for him. He said his mom bought it. So, the parent of that child was handed a game called DEAD ISLAND (which probably should have tipped her off that it wasn't for a ten year old) which features some pretty bloody zombies both on the front and back of the box art. Also, IT CLEARLY STATES RATED M FOR MATURE, AGES 17 AND UP. And now, because of her negligence, she's got a kid who is basically traumatized and can't sleep. Bravo. Personally, and I realize that I'm the minority here, I didn't own a Mature game until I was 17. I played them a lot at my friend's houses, but I didn't own any. It wasn't that I was strictly following the ESRB guidelines, persay, I just wasn't interested in any M games (plus I only had a Wii, and there weren't many M games to choose from, and most weren't desirable at all for me. Also, my parents are kind of strict so I doubt they'd buy me any anyways.) I played enough T for Teen games, even before I was 13 (or 14, or whatever it is for T) but a majority of my desired games were rated E for Everyone. This year, I bought Zombi U a short while after I bought my Wii U. I've recently gotten into the whole zombie craze (I really like the Walking Dead) and Zombi U looked like a lot of fun. And it is. All I'm saying is, the ESRB guidelines are there for a reason, and they really aren't that much to ask. Parent's should refrain from buying their children M games until their kids are at least 14 or 15.
@Molotov Not sure if trolling, or just uneducated. Perhaps you're a Sony fanboy who gets his kicks by making absurd statements about Nintendo on a Nintendo website and providing no evidence to back them up. If so, it's pretty sad. And What's With The Capital Letter At The Start Of Every Word? Capital letters begin sentences, not all words. But lets suppose you didn't know any better, and actually believe your ridiculous statement to be true. as @DiddyAA stated, the following run better on Wii U than other respective systems: "Ninja Gaiden 3, Trine 2, Sonic Transformed, Need For Speed: Most Wanted and Assassins Creed 3" I'd also like to point out that Batman Arkham City: Armoured Edition is considered the definitive version of the game. It runs as smoothly as the PS3 version (I've played both), and has far less glitches and problems. Next time, THINK BEFORE YOU POST.
As a proud member of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (it's a real religion, look it up) I will probably buy this game because, CLEARLY, the pirate theme was meant to attract the Pastafarian demographic.
We'll see how this plays out, but I'm quite certain Nintendo will win. They can easily poke some holes in this guys case with their superior legal team. Although, remember how Apple sued Samsung for "a touch screen phone with rounded corners" and somehow won? This does not bode well with me... Still, Apple is a multi-billion dollar corporation who can afford the top lawyers, which puts them on an equal playing field with Samsung, and Nintendo has money to spare while this guy with the 3D technology claims presumably does not (since he doesn't own a multi-billion dollar corporation).
I'm quite sure that although the price doesn't officially drop for the Vita 'til tomorrow, many stores have slashed the Vita prices early in order to attract customers, so it makes sense that the sales are momentarily improving. This momentary improvement, however, certainly won't last for long.
I've never played the first, but have heard a lot of good things about it. Hopefully I will figure out some way to find it and play it before 2 comes out.
@Tsuchiya Well, you're certainly not ruining gaming, but you are sort of annoying, and probably pissed somebody off pretty badly. And, as @Chrono_Cross said, okay, you don't like Mario, WE GET IT. That doesn't mean you have to spread your hatred of Nintendo's leading man all over a pro-Nintendo website. That's what IGN is for. It's fine to respectfully state your opinion, but you went well above and beyond the norm. If you don't want random fanboys pestering you on Miiverse, you have two options. 1) Stop trolling Mario fans and pretending that you're too cool for Mario, and that the only worthwhile Mario games are the retro ones. You sound like a pretentious hipster. 2) Either deal with the Mario fanboys and stop purposely pissing them off, or, of course, find a different site to troll on.
@Tsuchiya First of all, I did not "harass" you on Miiverse. I rarely use Miiverse, and I believe I've made three comments in total. None of those were to you or anybody who said anything resembling your arguments. I can't speak for all of us, but personally, although your arguments seem to be either rudimentary or poor attempts at trolling, I certainly don't care enough to track you down on Miiverse and feed the troll. Furthermore, if you were referring to my comment when you said that I called you a "tard", you are horribly misinformed. I said that your opinion was "undeducated", which does not imply that you are a mentally disabled individual. I find it offensive that you would say something like that, as I have a cousin who is mentally disabled and she is a wonderful person. I am going to respectfully ask for an apology for your rude behaviour. Regardless of your comment, however, my argument stands. You've done nothing to defend your points, thus, your arguments are rendered wholly invalid. Finally, I'd like to say that I'm sick of hearing your anti-Nintendo attitude on a website called NINTENDO LIFE. If you're not a Nintendo fan, stop bothering us and go on a Sony website. I figure there are two basic explanations. The first is that you think that hating Nintendo makes you appear cool here, but secretly have a massive erection for everything Nintendo. If this is correct, I'd suggest that you realize that pretending to dislike Nintendo doesn't make you look cool, it just makes you look ignorant. The second is that you are a troll (correction, a crappy troll), and enjoy making people mildly irritated. In which case, please either find another site to troll on, or, of course, you could just wait until your comments get you banned. Regardless of which option is correct, we could all benefit if you did one little thing. Grow. Up. Yours in gaming, Captain Balko.
@Tsuchiya "you jump, jump, and jump some more. It's all gone a bit stale."
... What? You think that Mario jumping is... stale? Really? His JUMPING? Huh. So a character originally called "Jump man" shouldn't be able to jump anymore because 'jumping' is, quote, 'stale'.
So, I'm not sure if you've noticed or not, but the whole platforming genre is completely built around the concept of JUMPING. You JUMP from one PLATFORM to another PLATFORM. There's other stuff involved, yes, but completely removing jumping from a platformer is a lot like removing the fighting aspect from a fighting game. IT. DOESN'T. WORK.
And then later you say that, essentially, Mario going back to the NES days would be innovation... How in the name of Hylia is that INNOVATION? That's the opposite of innovation. That's losing innovation. The closest thing to that would be the NEW SUPER MARIO BROS. series, which, as evident by your posts, you aren't exactly fond of.
You're contradicting yourself all over the place.
Regards,
Captain_Balko.
I'm Canadian, so I use colour instead of color, et cetera, but I don't recall having any problems with the game. I could have sworn the Canadian version uses the U.K. spelling... Still, that could just be me tapping so quickly that I hit the autocorrect for colour to color and get the same result, et cetera.
@Tsuchiya If you don't like Nintendo fanboys, why in the name of Hylia are you on a website called NINTENDO LIFE? Either deal with our fanboyish qualities and stop complaining or find a different video game site to troll on.
@CanisWolfred But it really isn't fair. Sure, it's lots of content, but DQ9 also had an absurd amount of content. So do many JRPGs. The fact of the matter is, saying "well, we're giving you lots of content" does not justify a monthly fee. If they say, "Well, you can have much MORE content if you pay a monthly fee," that's different. I'm already paying 60$ for the game, couldn't I get a full single player story for my troubles. If the online content costs money, fine. But at least give us a choice in the matter.
@Tsuchiya Why can't you describe Brain Age as a new IP? There should be a reason given. Because it mainly targets casual and non-gamers? So? That doesn't change the fact that it's a new IP. And I wasn't specifically speaking about Wii Sports. I was speaking of the "Wii" series. Wii Fit, Wii Play, Wii Music, Wii Party, et cetera. They are all decent games that have a specific style. New IP. Finally, you completely neglected to mention Dillon's Rolling Western, which I believe to be a phenominal game filled with noteworthy characters. And, by the way, Zelda isn't a new IP. In fact, it's as established as any other one of Nintendo's franchises. I'm sure you knew that, but the discussion was about if Nintendo did or did not create a single 'lasting' IP in the last decade. I argue that they did, and provided some strong arguments to back up my points.
@Chrno-x "but honestly in the last 10 years, Nintendo didn't make even one new IP that will aspire to be a memorable series"
I'd have to disagree. First of all, why don't Brain Age or Nintendogs count? Because they are 'casual' style games? I don't see what that has got to do with anything. You didn't leave any reasons for excluding them as a new IP that will 'aspire to be a memorable series'. Personally, I had tons of fun with both Brain Age and Nintendogs when they came out, and fail to see why they are not considered valid. Also, there are a few series that you neglected to mention. What about the "Wii" series? You know, Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Wii Play, et cetera. Personally, I find those games incredibly 'memorable'. Furthermore, Dillon's Rolling Western, though a tad difficult, garnered positive reviews and was a pretty excellent game. A new Dillon's Rolling Western was announced at the last Nintendo direct. This is a strong sign that Dillon's Rolling Western will become a memorable series in times to come.
Oh Sony, always with the stupidity. What's that? You want me to watch your crappy announcement? Nope, I'll be too busy playing one of my new Mario games, thank you very much.
I'm kind of torn about this one. On one hand, Dragon Quest is my absolute favourite RPG series of all time, and arguably my favourite series in all of gaming. The game looks phenominal and I would probably pour hundreds of hours into it. That being said, I'm not really all that fond of MMORPG games. I could easily get over this if the game didn't require a MONTHLY FEE! I just can't justify paying sixty dollars for a game and then paying an additional price every month in order to enjoy it. I love Dragon Quest, but monthly fees really don't work for me.
I was very impressed with the graphics of the first one, and the combat was simply phenominal. That being said, the game is incredibly tough. I still haven't finished it - I was only on level seven or something around there. It was too difficult and hectic to do everything at once. I can't protect all of my towers and the town while killing grocks and taking down those massive grock towers. Also, the time limit during the day can be frustrating if you didn't manage to acquire all possible resources in time. The idea that a TRAIN you have to protect is going to be thrown in the mix as well just frightens me. The addition of partners looks pretty neat though. I'll go back to the original and see if I can finish it before buying this one.
Incredibly excited about this one. I've been waiting for a new Mario Golf for a long time. I was hoping they'd release one on the Wii, but that never happened. I bet the 3D will look amazing in this one, I'm honestly ecstatic.
@Yogsoggoth ... What? Arkham City: Armoured Edition was an utterly exceptional game. The original Arkham City was deemed "the greatest licensed game ever made" by multiple reviewers? Why make a comment that many people would disagree with you about, and then not back it up with an inkling of evidence?
@Deathgaze ... What? It makes perfect sense. Eight year old kids can't drive themselves to to movies. Parents always accompany children. The references are for the PARENTS, not the children! People have been doing this for ages - inserting popular culture references or higher level humour into a film that children won't understand but adults will be able to chuckle at. The genre isn't CHILDREN, it's FAMILY. The whole point is that the movie panders to parents and kids alike.
@Mahe First of all, you completely ignored Fire Emblem. Secondly, Legend of Zelda, Mario, Mario Kart (which is wholly different from Mario platformers), Yoshi, and Fire Emblem were the main NINTENDO series ANNOUNCED AT THIS SPECIFIC NINTENDO DIRECT. There were a whole bunch of other games announced as well. And I'm not sure if you realize that your complaints are pretty unwarranted anyways. 3D Mario platformers and Legend of Zelda games are the most sought after Nintendo games. What else could you possibly want that's so superior to 3D Mario platformers and TWO Legend of Zelda games? (plus a whole bunch of other games from assorted franchises)
Releasing Sacred Stones as an ambassador game was a genius move for Nintendo since they knew Fire Emblem: Awakening was in development at the time. Tons of people (myself included) were exposed to the wonderful world of Fire Emblem, and many of them probably liked it enough to buy Awakening (myself included again).
I've had my game for almost a week now. Thank science I live in Canada. I've already played over twenty hours, since I had recently finished my first semester exams and second semester had not yet begun. If I had gotten it later, I certainly wouldn't have been able to play so much.
@Mahe I think you're misunderstanding the purpose of this entire feature. The games are to whet your appetite for the new Wii U games coming out, and they are all downloadable on Wii or 3DS virtual console. First of all, I certainly wouldn't call any of these games "snore-fests". Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is considered by many to be the greatest game ever made. Link's Awakening GX is fantastic as well, and, as Thomas stated in his comment, it's theme compliments Wind Waker, and lot's of people are looking forward to Wind Waker HD. Although Majora's Mask is an exceptional game, Nintendo Life's Zelda choices were more than adequate. Furthermore, Mario 64 is the game that truly began 3D platforming. Although the graphics haven't aged well, it is a historically signifigant Mario game and is still a lot of fun. I know tons of people who still play Super Mario 64 today, including members of the younger generation who never played it originally. As for the Mario Kart games, while the SNES Mario Kart is a little outdated, it's still worth playing for curiosity sake. And Mario 64 still holds up pretty well, and contains some exceptional course design. As for the Yoshi games, Yoshi's story is both adorable and entertaining, and perfectly fits with the theme of Yarn Yoshi. Yoshi's Island has spectacular style that still holds up very well today, and the platforming is still very good. Last but not least, Fire Emblem: the Sacred Stones is a spectacular game. It is actually the game that got me into the Fire Emblem series, and although I'm still a newbie (I've only beat two Fire Emblem games and am currently going through Awakening) I can safely rank Fire Emblem with some of my favourite Nintendo franchises. The animation in Sacred Stones is superb, and the graphics were shockingly good for GBA, not to mention the excellent story and timeless gameplay.
I think there is something to be said about the gun culture that countries such as the United States currently have. Games like Call of Duty and Battlefield are not creating this gun culture, they are simply cashing in on it. However, if this gun culture were to change, these games would be less successful and less signifigant. The problem doesn't root from the games, it roots from ancient gun-loving mindsets that have been passed down for generations. Personally, I take issue with the argument that "Guns are tools". They aren't tools, they're weapons. The difference between tools and guns are, a) Tools are not created specifically to injure or kill, and b) Tools are generally used for constructive purposes. Children usually don't have the maturity to deal with the danger and consequences of guns, and as such, shouldn't be obsessing over guns, and probably shouldn't be permitted to play Call of Duty. Adults are another matter entirely. I'm sorry for my ramblings. I was just trying to add my bit to the discussion.
Meh. EA is a terrible company anyways. In fact, I remember reading somewhere that, a few years back, they were voted the WORST COMPANY IN AMERICA by consumers. They won a little award and everything.
That was one hell of a review. It was well written and accurate. Rarely have I seen a review this good.
I was surprised when EB Games called my house yesterday and told me to pick up my game and my artbook. I live in Canada, but I didn't realize that Fire Emblem: Awakening was going to be released almost a week early. I was under the impression that we were getting it alongside the US.
@Jukilum ... facepalm The entire point of the video is that the art is taken from the games. Besides, ANIMATION doesn't refer to the art itself, but the movement of it.
I sure hope that if there is local multiplayer, and it ISN'T Streetpass, it is Download Play enabled. I'd like to be able to play Luigi's Mansion with my brother without forking over an additional forty dollars for a second game card. I doubt it will happen, but it would be nice if it did.

Regards,
Captain Balko.
Re: Capcom Releasing Special Mega Man Ultrabook in Japan
The flashdrives look kind of neat, although the USB wouldn't fit if my laptop was on a table because the USB port is maybe an inch from the bottom of the laptop and I judge those flashdrives to be a couple of inches in radius.
Re: Talking Point: The Positive Power of Gaming
Re: Crytek: Crysis 3 Was "Very Close To Launching" On Wii U
@Molotov Not sure if trolling, or just uneducated. Perhaps you're a Sony fanboy who gets his kicks by making absurd statements about Nintendo on a Nintendo website and providing no evidence to back them up. If so, it's pretty sad. And What's With The Capital Letter At The Start Of Every Word? Capital letters begin sentences, not all words.
But lets suppose you didn't know any better, and actually believe your ridiculous statement to be true. as @DiddyAA stated, the following run better on Wii U than other respective systems:
"Ninja Gaiden 3, Trine 2, Sonic Transformed, Need For Speed: Most Wanted and Assassins Creed 3"
I'd also like to point out that Batman Arkham City: Armoured Edition is considered the definitive version of the game. It runs as smoothly as the PS3 version (I've played both), and has far less glitches and problems.
Next time, THINK BEFORE YOU POST.
Re: Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag is Confirmed For Wii U
As a proud member of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (it's a real religion, look it up) I will probably buy this game because, CLEARLY, the pirate theme was meant to attract the Pastafarian demographic.
Re: Nintendo Facing Lawsuit Over 3D Technology On The 3DS
We'll see how this plays out, but I'm quite certain Nintendo will win. They can easily poke some holes in this guys case with their superior legal team. Although, remember how Apple sued Samsung for "a touch screen phone with rounded corners" and somehow won? This does not bode well with me... Still, Apple is a multi-billion dollar corporation who can afford the top lawyers, which puts them on an equal playing field with Samsung, and Nintendo has money to spare while this guy with the 3D technology claims presumably does not (since he doesn't own a multi-billion dollar corporation).
Re: 3DS Stays on Top in Japan, but Wii U Falls Behind Vita
I'm quite sure that although the price doesn't officially drop for the Vita 'til tomorrow, many stores have slashed the Vita prices early in order to attract customers, so it makes sense that the sales are momentarily improving. This momentary improvement, however, certainly won't last for long.
Re: Ubisoft: Beyond Good & Evil 2 Is On The Way
I've never played the first, but have heard a lot of good things about it. Hopefully I will figure out some way to find it and play it before 2 comes out.
Re: Nintendo - "Innovation is Important" for the 2D Mario Series
Re: Nintendo - "Innovation is Important" for the 2D Mario Series
Grow. Up.
Yours in gaming,
Captain Balko.
Re: Nintendo - "Innovation is Important" for the 2D Mario Series
Re: Rumour: Scribblenauts Unlimited UK Recall Due To Lack Of UK English
I'm Canadian, so I use colour instead of color, et cetera, but I don't recall having any problems with the game. I could have sworn the Canadian version uses the U.K. spelling... Still, that could just be me tapping so quickly that I hit the autocorrect for colour to color and get the same result, et cetera.
Re: Sony Trolls Nintendo Ahead of PlayStation 4 Announcement
@Tsuchiya
If you don't like Nintendo fanboys, why in the name of Hylia are you on a website called NINTENDO LIFE? Either deal with our fanboyish qualities and stop complaining or find a different video game site to troll on.
Re: Dragon Quest X Release Date Announced For Japan
@CanisWolfred
But it really isn't fair.
Re: Talking Point: The Year of Luigi Could Bring a Burst of Creativity
@Tsuchiya
Why can't you describe Brain Age as a new IP?
Re: Talking Point: The Year of Luigi Could Bring a Burst of Creativity
@sinalefa Also, Dillon's Rolling Western has a second game announced. It was announced in the last North American Nintendo Direct.
Re: Talking Point: The Year of Luigi Could Bring a Burst of Creativity
@Chrno-x
"but honestly in the last 10 years, Nintendo didn't make even one new IP that will aspire to be a memorable series"
Re: Dragon Quest X Release Date Announced For Japan
@Haxonberik If they didn't include the monthly fee this would be a day one buy for me.
Re: Sony Trolls Nintendo Ahead of PlayStation 4 Announcement
Oh Sony, always with the stupidity. What's that? You want me to watch your crappy announcement? Nope, I'll be too busy playing one of my new Mario games, thank you very much.
Re: Dragon Quest X Release Date Announced For Japan
I'm kind of torn about this one. On one hand, Dragon Quest is my absolute favourite RPG series of all time, and arguably my favourite series in all of gaming. The game looks phenominal and I would probably pour hundreds of hours into it. That being said, I'm not really all that fond of MMORPG games. I could easily get over this if the game didn't require a MONTHLY FEE! I just can't justify paying sixty dollars for a game and then paying an additional price every month in order to enjoy it. I love Dragon Quest, but monthly fees really don't work for me.
Re: Dillon's Rolling Western: The Last Ranger Arriving In North America This April
Re: Mario Golf: World Tour Tees Off On 3DS This Summer
Incredibly excited about this one. I've been waiting for a new Mario Golf for a long time. I was hoping they'd release one on the Wii, but that never happened. I bet the 3D will look amazing in this one, I'm honestly ecstatic.
Re: New "Batman Arkham" Title Due in 2013
@Yogsoggoth
... What? Arkham City: Armoured Edition was an utterly exceptional game. The original Arkham City was deemed "the greatest licensed game ever made" by multiple reviewers? Why make a comment that many people would disagree with you about, and then not back it up with an inkling of evidence?
I smell a troll.
Re: Potential Wreck-It Ralph Sequel Should Have a Moment "Perfect for Mario"
@Deathgaze
Re: Feature: Wii U Blockbusters - What to Play While You Wait
@Mahe
First of all, you completely ignored Fire Emblem.
Re: Feature: Fire Emblem's Western Adventure
Releasing Sacred Stones as an ambassador game was a genius move for Nintendo since they knew Fire Emblem: Awakening was in development at the time. Tons of people (myself included) were exposed to the wonderful world of Fire Emblem, and many of them probably liked it enough to buy Awakening (myself included again).
Re: Fire Emblem: Awakening Cut Down By Shipping Delay
I've had my game for almost a week now. Thank science I live in Canada. I've already played over twenty hours, since I had recently finished my first semester exams and second semester had not yet begun. If I had gotten it later, I certainly wouldn't have been able to play so much.
Re: Feature: Wii U Blockbusters - What to Play While You Wait
@Mahe
I think you're misunderstanding the purpose of this entire feature.
Re: Talking Point: Gun Violence and Nintendo is an Unlikely Pairing
Re: EA: Excited About New Generation Which Is "Yet to Come"
Meh. EA is a terrible company anyways. In fact, I remember reading somewhere that, a few years back, they were voted the WORST COMPANY IN AMERICA by consumers. They won a little award and everything.
Re: Review: Fire Emblem: Awakening (3DS)
That was one hell of a review. It was well written and accurate. Rarely have I seen a review this good.
I was surprised when EB Games called my house yesterday and told me to pick up my game and my artbook. I live in Canada, but I didn't realize that Fire Emblem: Awakening was going to be released almost a week early. I was under the impression that we were getting it alongside the US.

facepalm
The entire point of the video is that the art is taken from the games. Besides, ANIMATION doesn't refer to the art itself, but the movement of it.
Re: Local Multiplayer Sneaks Up On Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
I sure hope that if there is local multiplayer, and it ISN'T Streetpass, it is Download Play enabled. I'd like to be able to play Luigi's Mansion with my brother without forking over an additional forty dollars for a second game card. I doubt it will happen, but it would be nice if it did.
