@HawkeyeWii Agreed. Batman is the epitome of awesome. Didn't he take down the entire Justice League once? I'm pretty sure he did, but I could be mistaken.
@shinpichu I am under the assumption that Superman needs the armour because he is on a level playing field with all other characters after a certain event in the story. He's still really strong, can fly, and has lazer vision, but he can get hurt just as well as a normal human... or, well, a really strong human. I could be wrong, it which case it would be dumb that Superman has armour, but I think there is a decent chance that I am right.
Regardless, I am getting this game day one for Wii U since I don't own a PS3 or X-Box 360. It looks awesome, and I can't wait to try out the characters and their over-the-top special moves.
Fair enough. I retract my comment about facts. It was uncalled for and a tad arrogant. I'm sorry.
However, the opinions of the people at Nintendo Power, concerning Nintendo games specifically, are indeed above you and I for we do not have nearly as much experience or education in the topic (unless, of course, you work for a gaming magazine or site, in which case I apologize profusely). If I walked up to a theoretical phsycist and said "String theory is all BS, everything you believe in is a lie, and my UNEDUCATED opinion on the matter is just as valid as your studied, logic based, EDUCATED opinion,", I would come across as very ignorant. Here is the difference in opinions - as a teacher of mine used to say, there are no good or bad opinions, only educated and uneducated opinions. One can conclude that a writer for Nintendo Power, who has likely spent much of his life learning about video games and the proper way to write an unbiased article about them, both in school and in the workplace, has a more educated opinion than you or I.
@TenEighty ... So, you refuse to acknowledge anything that involves Greek mythology since they believed in multiple gods, or polythiesm? Did you catch Kid Icarus: Uprising? Because Palutena is the "Goddess of Light", Medusa the "Goddess of Darkness", et cetera, so the game has multiple gods. How about the Legend of Zelda series? Skyward Sword refers to Hylia as "the Goddess". It just sound really sad when you make a comment about not getting a game because it uses the word "god" in the title.
P.S I'm going to assume that you aren't much of a God of War fan, are you? I'm not crazy about God of War either, but I'm sure it's for VERY different reasons than you.
@shinpichu The story line is going to make that apparent. Supposedly, it will be explained how 'gadget' characters like Batman and Green Arrow can face off against 'supernatural' characters like Superman, Wonderwoman, and Green Lantern. I'm going to assume that they need the armor because they all became vulnerable to regular attacks or something.
@brooks83 The staff of Nintendo Power were professional writers who had opinions that I'm sure are above you and I.
And, if you care to know, according to Metacritic, which includes as many legitimate and trusted reviews as possible to create an average score, the Wii Twilight Princess scored 95 while the Gamecube Twilight Princess scored 96. Regardless of the decidedly miniscule gap in scores, the Gamecube Twilight Princess scored higher. I believe that this is as close to fact as one can get when referring to which of two games is 'better' or 'worse'.
I was implying that although both of us are biased, if you let an unbiased person look at each launch list with the "FACTS" of each list laid out on the table (don't forget I used facts to support my thesis, for example a review from a trusted magazine) the unbiased person would likely side with the Wii U.
That 'Plants Vs. Zombies' table looks awesome. They did a great job with Marvel Pinball on 3DS, so if there are lots of other interesting, video game themed tables, I'll download it.
The graphics look really nice. I like the lighting effect on the characters. I heard that a lot of customization features will be added to this installment, which is great for me, since I'm an Animal Crossing control freak. I will pick this one up day one.
@Mahe
You say that games such as "Darksiders II" are 'old', but what you fail to realize is that dedicated Nintendo fans such as myself never had an opportunity to play it simply because I don't own any non Nintendo systems. For many, myself included, launch titles such as Darksiders II and (especially for me) Batman Arkham City: Armoured Edition provide the chance to play a game that we simply could not play when they were released because they did not come out on Wii. Furthermore, both of the games I mentioned include all DLC from their original games for free, and additional Wii U exclusive content (Darksiders II has extra levels, and Batman has a few cool new features, such as the Armoured Suit).
I recognize that you preferred the Wii launch games, but implying that the Wii U launch titles are weak isn't very fair. To begin with, as you already stated, New Super Mario Bros. U is a great game. And, regardless of how much it intrests you, Zombi U is a very unique and well done game. I also thoroughly enjoyed Scribblenauts Unlimited, and the fascinating object editor (which the 3DS version doesn't have, and is robust enough to justify me spending the extra 20$ on the Wii U version). Although Nintendoland certainly wasn't as exceptional as I was hoping for, it by no stretch of the imagination, quote, "sucks". If you said it was mediocre, I'd fully understand, but saying it "sucks" is a tad too much. Granted, the single player mode is weak, but the teamwork attractions such as Zelda Battle Quest, Metroid Blast, and the Pikmin game are pretty outstanding. If you look at Wii launch games, you've got a Zelda game that many claimed was BETTER on Gamecube because the motion controls on the Wii version caused many complaints. Even Nintendo Power (may the Goddess have mercy on it's soul) gave the Gamecube Twilight Princess a better score. Also, Wii Sports, which many have compared to Nintendo Land, has much less content than Nintendo Land and didn't even come in an actual game case if you bought it with the Wii (although Nintendo Land does in the Wii U Premium Bundle). So, although your opinion is valid, if you look at the facts from an unbiased perspective, the superior launch list belongs to the Wii U.
I'd also like to address your comment about how 'a lot of people share your opinion'. The global economy isn't doing very well, which prevents people from purchasing luxuries such as highly priced games. Therefore, you cannot assume that the sales of the games determine who shares your opinon or not - there are plenty of factors to look at. For example, the Wii sent people into a frenzy simply because of how revolutionary the idea of 'motion control' was. People marvelled at it, and, in their excitement, bought a multitude of games. When I talk to people who are considering puchasing the Wii U, they seem pleasantly optimistic about it rather than ravenous like they did years earlier when searching from store to store, hoping to buy the Wii. Excitement for the system itself plays a major factor in how many games are bought with the system. Also, as stated in the article, price is a major determining factor in the amount of launch games bought. The Wii was less expensive, so, for lots of people, there was enough leftover cash to pick up a couple games. Wii U, on the other hand, is quite a bit more expensive, especially since everybody seems to want the Premium Bundle, which costs 50$ more (plus tax). That means people can spend less on games after spending so much on the system itself. It appears that you neglected to contemplate these variables when you stated that your opinion was shared by many.
On a side note, together with my brother, we were so excited for the Wii U launch games that we got SIX of them (we started off with two, mind you, and over the weeks accumulated more, but we only bought launch games). Usually, I just get two or perhaps three games in total from the launch line up, so this is a new record.

Re: Ubisoft Open To The Idea Of ZombiU Sequels
Yes please, Ubisoft. But what would they call a second Zombi U game? Zombi U2? Won't the band get angry? Maybe Zombi 2 would be better? Hmmm...
Re: Disney Infinity Developer Would Like to Include Star Wars And Marvel
If Marvel and Star Wars are included... I will be forced to waste all of my money on this game...

Yeah, I thought that was strange too.
