@Fizza It's Pokemon, and there's only two months left before release. Of course they're going to ramp up advertisement and news.
Sun/Moon had a much bigger announcement and news cycle over the year. S/V, meanwhile, didn't have any more news until June, skipped July, tossed out a trailer at the beginning of August, and will now be showing another trailer here in the beginning of September. Last weak was just a reveal of a single new Pokemon.
So three trailers over the course of four months is not 'Sun/Moon all over again'
I don't really see it as a big deal. They re-release the game and people who haven't had the chance to play them get another chance. Nothing wrong with that.
Unless you're someone who thinks they need to own every version of a game and play it for the millionth time. Then you have a bit of a problem and only yourself to really blame.
@abdias It's been 12 years and you are still incapable of getting over the idea that a magical ice stalactite monster with snow on it has the appearance of ice cream in a franchise that already has so many weird and wacky cartoon monster creatures.
It's pretty sad and ridiculous to hold such intense hatred for a single Pokemon evolutionary line.
@mr-duster It's had quite a few glaring issues. But ultimately nobody really cares because 'it's Pokemon'. That mentality isn't going to change, so it doesn't really matter.
@ChromaticDracula Once again someone decides to torment the likes of poor Trubbish and Vanillish just for the sake of it. Being those two is suffering, as they are constantly the target of nostalgia-blinded people who refuse to accept them and understand that Pokemon are, and have always been, monsters that come in all kinds of shapes and forms.
Truly, it is a sad existence. I weep for them as they continue to be needless meme targets for no actual real reason.
@Controller-Drift They have stated they want the Pokemon games to be 'easily accessible' to everybody. Though I do feel that they've kinda taken that to a bit of an extreme.
@mariomaster96 The guy outright says he is 'recording on a strange device'. Along with the fact that it's established there's an 'Arc Phone' in the game that looks like a smartphone styled after Arceus.
The Pokemon world is weird as hell, man. It's not too weird to consider the idea that some form of time shenanigans thanks to Celebi or Dialga or otherwise could displace items into the past. Or even the idea that Arceus managed to have a hand in creating the 'Arc Phone' itself.
@Harmonie Feels like you're taking things a little too personal and defensive. As if things hit way too close to home and you felt as if you were being called out.
You gotta chill and not take what total strangers say online so seriously~

Re: Three New Pokémon Introduced In Latest Scarlet & Violet Trailer
@NintendoJunkie It's weird seeing a comment by someone who seems to think it is weird to see monsters as monsters

Re: Random: Pokémon Fans Are Excited For This Very Small, Specific Change
@Flint To be fair. Pokemon Black/White was about 12 years ago.
Re: The Internet Is In Loaf With Fidough, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet's Bread-Dog
@Anti-Matter You're telling me that a dog looks like a dog? That's pretty shocking and mind blowing.
Re: Soapbox: Free Game Updates Are Fantastic For Everyone, Except New Players
"Why must these games end up giving so much free content? Oh woe is me for having so much potential stuff to look forward to trying out."
Yeah alright. People will be needlessly whiny about pretty much anything I guess.

"A game feels comfortable and familiar.... BUT IS THAT ENOUGH?"
That's the dumbest thing to really question.
Re: Pokémon Legends: Arceus Is 'Exhilarating' And At Times 'Surprisingly Difficult' According To Japanese Media
@Dr_Lugae Less BotW and more Monster Hunter, really.
Re: Video: Nintendo Airs Another Pokémon Legends: Arceus Commercial
@Pickledthethird But why should they care that much when the fact remains that the game will sell potentially millions on brand name alone?

But hey
Re: Free 'Garden Story' Update Adds New Shops, Shortcuts, And Hats
But does it actually make the game good and not ultimately a disappointment?
