Re: Hands On: Yobo FC-16 Go Portable SNES

BlueBandanaJake

Great review, I'm sold! Getting one as soon as some money comes in. I have one question though, how's the battery life? I dont expect it's phenomenal but I'm interested (and would like to be surprised, everything else about this has surprised me so far )

Re: Iwata Asks About Zelda Handheld History

BlueBandanaJake

All the dungeons in Link to the Past were on a single map too. I know there are a few glitches in the GBA version that make for some interesting clear times for the game

Thanks for posting this, I love Zelda so much, and Link's Awakening is my personal favorite.

Re: Review: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (WiiWare)

BlueBandanaJake

I'm personally happy this came out, having only played Apollo Justice (and that was borrowed) I fell in love with the game and wanted to play the original(s) so this turns out to be an easy solution to that. I dont see a problem in rereleasing a game from last generation so people who missed it can give it a go (New Play Control series?) and the price point is rather nice for getting the full original game.

Also, I had NO PROBLEM swinging the remote to object. I got it to work every single time with a nice natural swing, from the first try.

Re: Nintendo Trademarks "WiiRelax"

BlueBandanaJake

"We'll see", (Wii'll See?) is all I really have to say. It's very difficult to imagine how Nintendo plans to use the Vitality Sensor for games, but until they explain it to us we really cant complain. I guess I'm just really curious as to the things they're cooking up with this thing, and hopefully they wont turn out to be lame.

Re: Viewtiful Joe Could Return

BlueBandanaJake

Yes please! I loved both Viewtiful Joe games being a fan of old school beat-em-ups, it was a blast to see a brand new one rise up amidst all the 3D games that had swarmed all the consoles (as making new 2D games wasnt stylish at the time).

Viewtiful Joe was fun, funny and ever so stylish, and I would love to play the final chapter in the series.

Re: Impressions: Max & the Magic Marker

Awesome, just as I had been expecting this is shaping up to be really great and I cant wait to give it a shot. Its giving me the same feel as A Boy and His Blob Wii, which is my new favorite game. Was there an estimated time of release for this one? I'd like to have my Wii Points ready And thanks for the article, very insightful!

Re: Talking Point: How Does The DSi LL Compare To Rival Handhelds?

BlueBandanaJake

I think it's kinda funny that half of the people are upset because this is "useless" and the other half is upset because they already have a DSi, it'd be a waste to buy this new model (despite being "useless").

I agree with Ren, to me this is nothing more than another option to be considered when purchasing a DSi unit, no different than choosing what color system you like except now there's a little practicallity to your decision.

Re: Make Miyamoto Smile: Show StarFox Love

BlueBandanaJake

I miss my Star Fox (64) style gameplay, those games are easily the best in the series and while Command was a decent game and Assault had some fun in it (...somewhere) it'd be nice to have a back-to-basics entry now.

It's kinda starting to remind me of Sonic: that's enough experimentation, give us something traditional now. Though clearly (and thankfully) StarFox hasn't been as bad. Hopefully ol' Shiggy realizes this, and if he needs a hint, he should release Star Fox on VC to get an idea of how much people miss it (...and EarthBound too.... dammit).

Re: Review: A Boy and His Blob (Wii)

BlueBandanaJake

I need money so I can get my hands on this, I've been wanting it since I first saw screens of it. WayForward continues to rock the house with their games, Contra 4, Lit, Mighty Flip Champs and now A Boy and His Blob, cant wait for their next endeavor.

Great review, but what kept this one from being a 10? You didn't mention any set backs at all.

Re: Review: You, Me, and the Cubes (WiiWare)

BlueBandanaJake

@Wiiloveit: If the Fallos are at good balance when you finish with one of the cubes, they'll stick to the cube when it rotates and positions itself for the next cube. At the end of the level (6 cubes all stuck together) they count up all of the Fallos who managed to stick in place (there's a goal amount of these for each stage, but it's not necessary to complete the level, mostly for completionists). The Fallos who are sticking to the cubes have no effect on the gravity of the current puzzle.

Re: Review: Metroid Prime Trilogy (Wii)

BlueBandanaJake

Question to those who remember: so I just beat Metroid Prime 1 in the Trilogy (awesome ride, once again) and now I'm looking at a screen that says "Hyper Mode Unlocked." I know the original had a Hard Mode... but did it have a Hyper Mode? I dont really remember, it's been such a long time...

Incidentally, Hyper Mode is friggin tough! I almost died at the space station!
