Get your hardware and software to the point where 60fps is the bare minimum for all games going forward without sacrificing visual fidelity and people will stop giving a ***** about framerates. But that would mean Nintendo (and Sony and Microsoft to a lesser extent) would actually have to put effort in for once.
@The_New_Butler that too, which in conjunction with the touchpad/capacitive thumbsticks and HD haptics might make this pretty damn nice to use, although that stuff would be more fitting for a new steam controller which I'm hoping more for than this.
@thejuice027 let valve do whatever they want to. They'll make half life 3 once there's a reason to make it, IE when they have new hardware they want to show off.
Edit: also, imagine passing on the steam controller
@sword_9mm the steam machines paved the way for steam on Linux which is a huge thing for anyone who wants to switch from windows.
The TouchPads are a necessity IMO because I use and tweak mouse-like joystick settings quite a bit within steaminput, as well as a touch-based dpad + steam controller's haptics just being plain better than a physical one any day of the week. I can't go back to aiming with a joystick lmao
Competely lost interest in a switch pro now. Anyone that follows Valve knows every bit of hardware they've released has been a massive success for PC gaming as a whole in the long run. I can't wait to see what new innovations Valve will bring in the future.
Will it run at 60fps tho? That's what I'm most concerned about. I loved botw but playing a 30fps game on a 120fps monitor isn't exactly the most pleasant thing
@yuwarite I so wish every developer would use steaminputAPI. It's basically the best controller software ever made. I'm really happy sony decided to wise up and use it for days gone and horizon zero dawn.
If it releases I'll sell my switch for one. I've played everything I wanted to on switch and it's most likely too weak to play future games at 60fps so I'd definitely prefer a portable steam machine.
Unless it's basically a steam remote play/link streaming device in which case it's dead or arrival
@Sejha I highly doubt epic actually cares about developers. It seems they want the benefits of being on a platform with a high userbase like apple without having to pay any kind of fees whatsoever. They'd do the same with nintendo so they can put the EGS on switch and be able to bypass Nintendo's 30% fee.
I have a switch and buy games for it and I still want Nintendo games on PC without emulation. Doesn't mean I want them on epic tho. Please Nintendo, put your games on steam or gog so I can play your games unhindered by underpowered hardware!
I hope a hori Hayabusa fits. It's my favorite joystick. I use it with a silent optical gate in my VLX, although the hori VLX is way too heavy to use frequently.
After playing BotW on Wii U and Switch and then beating it through CemU with ultrawide 1440p 120hz support...I welcome a clone of BotW on PC with those options without having to use an emulator.
Now if only Nintendo would actually port BotW to PC...

Very nice Capcom. Let's hope the rest of the industry wisens up and does the same

I'm not getting one for myself but I am getting one for a friend who plays mainly on playstation
Re: Soapbox: Can We Just Announce All Platforms At The Same Time Already?
Sure, only if Nintendo starts doing the same thing.

Re: Reminder: A Plague Tale: Innocence - Cloud Version Is Out Now On Switch
Hey how about instead of releasing these games on the cloud, they actually upgrade their hardware to be able to play these games natively

I was excited to see it on switch but getting it on steam is a no brainer. Can't wait

Re: Axiom Verge 2 Is Launching On The Nintendo Switch This Spring
I beat it on switch and steam but this time around I'll be waiting for the steam release, same as with gunvolt 3
Re: New 4K Switch Model Could Launch For $399, Analysts Suggest
If I can't play botw 2 at 60fps I will be extremely disappointed
Re: Inti Creates Is Bringing Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 To Switch In 2022
I played the first two on 3ds and switch but this time around I'm waiting for a steam release
Re: Rumour: Nintendo To Reveal New Switch Model With Samsung OLED Display And 4K Support
Hopefully 1440p support as well. I don't have a tv and play on the second half of my crg9 lmao
Re: Disgaea 6: Defiance Of Destiny Is A Nintendo Switch Exclusive Coming Summer 2021
I hope this doesn't exclusivity doesn't set a future precedence for Nisa. If like to continue playing future Trails and Ys games on PC if possible.

Re: Random: Nintendo Switch Fans React To The PC Port Of Persona 4 Golden
@JR150 yeah I know it's a different situation. I just really want to know what would happen if Nintendo DID port a first party game to PC.
Re: Random: Nintendo Switch Fans React To The PC Port Of Persona 4 Golden
The more JRPGs that come to PC the better
I have a switch, but hopefully one day Nintendo will wake up and put Fire Emblem and Xenoblade on PC too
