A bit of a tangent to this article perhaps, but the blanket view of piracy as being some evil that will threaten the art of gaming is frankly a view that in a lot of ways just propogates capitalism and sides a bit too much on the side of 'corporations are always right'.
Case in point, I personally do not see the issue with not supporting any corporations like Activision, Ubisoft, EA etc. when they: are treating employees terribly in any way they can get away with, have huge wage inequalities & layoffs while bosses get big bonuses, actively work to gain market share & exposure over struggling indie developers, manage strictly whatever indie studios they decide to devour and wish to singe every ounce of creativity into a pre-prepared mixture they can roll-out again and again with DLC.
No, I don't think piracy is what we need to fight against. It's the evil of corporations that is staring us in the face that we do. Support the indie developers that you enjoy the games of and, sure, bigger studios when you can afford it (when you can accept their business practices), but don't tell me that piracy is this ultimate evil that will destroy gaming while corporations are destroying the very soul of this industry.
Really happy to see a review for this, one of my most positive purchases on the platform. I'm excited to see what more is coming. While short, getting all A ranks took me a few hours and was incredibly satisfying, and from what I hear, S ranks are coming in an update that will also fix some existing glitches.
Really sad to hear this story, I feel like as an indie game community, we should be working consciously to both avoid the issues present in the gaming industry and to make the working environment one of supporting and lifting each other up, rather than crushing each other. I really hope for the day the indie games scene can actively fight against the evils of capitalism, rather than reproduce them.
Played a lot of Ty 1 on PC before getting a bunch of motion sickness issues, Ty 2 does look interesting and fairly sure I enjoyed a demo of it back in the day so interested to see how this ports.

Re: Nintendo Forecasts Profits And Sales To Drop In This Financial Year
Since Game Pass came along, I find that respects my wallet much more than many eShop offerings. From that perspective, I can understand this.

Interesting monetisation model, pretty big fan of the pay-what-you-want model which this is kind of heading for.

Re: Nintendo Indie World Showcase To Air Tomorrow, 14th April
All the mentions of Sports Story are making me excited. A shadow drop of that would make my week.
I think as mentioned, Shantae is likely to be part of the showcase, seems strange that it hasn't been mentioned more before now by Nintendo.
Whatever wild horse games come up, I'm all for it, this is the system for them!
