Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct Predictions - What Do You Want To See?

Akima

Wind Waker and/or Twilight Princess on Switch has been my biggest wish for like 8 years and I'm still hoping for it. I'd also love Kirby's Epic Yarn and Yoshi's Wooly World and a part of me expects to see at least one of those too.

Other than that I would like Donkey Kong 64 on Nintendo Online and I'd also really like to play Donald Duck: Quack Attack again. And I really want to try Chrono Trigger so I'd love either a port on Nintendo Online or even better a remake or remaster or something like that.

Of new games my not so secret dream is a De Blob 3. I know that won't happen, but that would make me hyperventilate from pure joy probably. Or some other new Yoshi game or a new Peach game that is more in the style of Mario Odyssey than the Peach game we actually got last year. Or even Super Princess Peach on Nintendo Online.

Re: Nintendo Direct June 2024: Every Announcement, Game Reveal, Trailer

Akima

While I'm (as always) disappointed by no Wind Waker/Twilight Princess ports on Switch (it's the holy grail in much the same way as my wish that a Norwegian Theatre shall put up Wicked), I'm really looking forward to many things here, especially the new Zelda game. I'm also planning to play the new Mario & Luigi, Stray, LEGO Horizons, Dragon Quest 3 HD (haven't played any Dragon Quest yet, that seems like a good place to start) and the new Mario Party if it's possible to play in handheld (since my TV is not working and haven't for years, so playing things on the TV-screen is out of the question). And with that (and games not mentioned, but that I also do know or believe is coming this fall), there will be lots of fun to be had =D

Re: Nintendo Direct June 2024: Time, Where To Watch, What To Expect

Akima

As always hoping for Wind Waker/Twilight Princess ports on Switch (expecting disappointment, but feeling that it's a bigger chance of it happening this time). I really want a The Plucky Squire release date, perhaps a new 2D Zelda game or a remake (that seems quite possible) in a similar style that Link between worlds on Switch had and personal dreams that I don't expect to see, but would be extremely pleased by is a De Blob 3 and A Monster's Expedition 2 and I really want to play Psychonauts 2 and Hi Fi Rush, which I can't now, but would be able to play if they came to Switch.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Indie World Showcase Predictions - What Do You Expect To See?

Akima

Release day for Plucky Squire and Arranger (and that both comes out before July so that there's not that long a wait). It won't happen, but I want there to suddenly be a A Monster's Expedition 2 that is shadowdropped and can take over my life. I just generally want cute puzzlegames with gentle vibes and no stress. And another thing that won't happen, but which I would love, is a Switch port of Psychonauts 2 because I didn't get it to work when I tried getting to play it on Steam and I don't have other consoles and what I've read about it makes it seem very interesting and cool and I'd love to be able to play it. And the third thing that won't happen, but would be cool is a De Blob 3, just because I really want to have that in the universe

Re: Best Nintendo Switch Puzzle Games

Akima

I feel like this list is missing A Monster's Expedition. It's my absolute favorite game because it's a brilliant puzzle game about a monster on an expedition through islands exhibiting human stuff (the descriptions of the stuff are very humorous in a dry and charming manner) that has the most relaxing vibes I know and sokoban-like puzzles that are very clever and satisfying. The only annoying thing is that I love it so much that it takes me a really short time now to play through most of the levels (something I've done many times), but I only manage to find a little more than 600 levels and then it's very hard to find the last few levels (it's around 700 islands all together). That's my only criticism, I absolutely adore A Monster's Expedition and I want more people to love it. I also want a sequel because it's just that fascinating.

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Princess Peach: Showtime! For Switch?

Akima

I do love playing as Peach in Mario Party, but at the moment it seems a bit too easy and unsubstantial. If I find it for like half the price at some point I'll consider it because I do find the look charming and as a musical theatre geek, the theatre aspect appeals to me, but at the moment I'm way too busy with Octopath Traveller 2 anyway.

Re: Stunning Storybook Adventure 'The Plucky Squire' Delayed To 2024

Akima

This is the most charming way I've heard someone say games are getting delayed, I found this video very enjoyable I was looking forward to Plucky Squire, so it's a bit sad having to wait longer, but I will have more than enough games to play throughout 2023, so it's not that big a deal.

Re: Soapbox: These Everyday Items Trigger Me Now, And I Blame Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom

Akima

I really liked this article. My personal thing is that I saw something red on the ground on my way to work early june and instinctly thought "please don''t let gloom hands come" because they are the stuff of nightmares and it was a big enough red thing that it seemed quite possible for gloom hands to spawn.

Other than that I haven't tried to ascend, but I've often wanted to teleport and this article does also remind me of when I played through Ocarina of Time on 3DS and quite often was certain I heard skulltullas out and about in the real world.

Re: Nintendo's Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom TV Ad Might Be Its Best One Ever

Akima

I really liked it because it was so simple, but effective and his enthusiasm made him really cute, because pure joy is supercharming. I will have that same smile when I play Tears of the Kingdom, only I won't play it on the bus or subway, because I never want to have the "Hello workplace, I'm unfortunately running late since I missed my stop because I was having so much fun playing"-conversation that I could so easily see happening if I played on my way to work.

Re: Talking Point: Which Is Your Favourite Quest In Zelda: Breath Of The Wild?

Akima

Definitely Tarrey Town.

Kind of related and I may have to do it myself at some point, but I've been wanting for years for someone to make a joke entry on Am I The ***** (AITA) where it's supposedly written from the perspective of Hudson where he is like "Am I an *****?" and then talks all about his naming thing where everyone has to end with -son. And then it's all about how the eventual children of his also has to have names ending with -son and he asks in his post about if this makes him an *****. Since I'm too much on the Internet, I kind of thought already when I first did the quest that it felt meant for an AITA-post and it would be great fun to have a post like that there because people not familiar with BOTW would answer like it was any other normal post and then Zelda-fans would giggle among themselves at the post.
