Too late. I bought it on the ps store and have been playing through it with my wife. She is not really a gamer but has been enjoying helping me clear out the sewers and crypts. Brings back fond memories of playing back in 2001 when it first came out.
@CristianBlack - thanks for the info, that’s great. I think adding bots gives a game so much more longevity. I’ll be picking this one up for sure. Great work.
@MysteryCupofJoe - unfortunately the use of bots is lost more and more these days and once online numbers dwindle, the game becomes obsolete. I still love having a run around in timesplitters 2 against some bots. Still fun today!
Looks like it could be good fun. It will be interesting to see if you can add in bots to make up numbers. As much as I like playing online, I also really like games that let you add in bots to make up numbers when needed.
@dewokkel - sounds good. I do like the look of them. I had a quick run around of the third one a few years back. Glad to hear they run well. Thanks for the recommendation. I’ve been playing retro FPS’s. Ion Fury and Project Warlock are awesome if you like that sort of thing.
Will be interesting to see how this one looks and runs. I’ve enjoyed running around in he old school FPS’s like Doom and Duke Nukem, looking forward to a more modern shooter (I would have bought Borderlands Collection if I didn’t have it on PS4).
American Fugitive and Evil Defenders for me. I know American Fugitive didn’t review as well as it could have, but I’m loving the old feeling that a new GTA game gave me with this one. Evil Defenders is a great RPG Tower Defences game that I have played a lot this month.
The issue I have found with this is I bought it to play with the family - 4 player local. With only playing best of 3 games, not all players get to serve. It would be nice to customize best of 6 and choose 1,3 or 5 sets. Wouldn’t be hard to set up.
Firstly, the game file size for NBA is due to the huge amount of audio in the game. Sure, open world games like BOTW and Mario Odyssey are big, but limited in the amount of audio. NBA has commentary running through every game and specialized commentary for all 30 teams, not to mention the special teams and even for major players on each team. Secondly, the save file suggests it could be UP TO 5gb. You can play a franchise mode that goes FOR 80 SEASONS. Each season can be 82 games without playoffs. The game can save highlights, replays and plays of the game FOR ALL 80 seasons. That is why your save file can potentially be so big! In previous NBA 2k games, you could delete and remove these saved replays, and saving in save data size.
I think people are just getting caught up on the 5gb without understanding it. I purchased the game digitally (after having many iterations on ps4/PS3) and I love being able to play in the TV or on the go (or even laying in bed!) I don't see an issue with it and am certainly glad it came to switch with all of the features of the other consoles.
I actually don't mind the season pass idea if it's done well. I see it as a sign of the developer continuing to support the game after release. I know his can be done with free updates but the premise can be done well.
I quite enjoyed it. I didn't find the grabs over powered. You could stop them with a punch. Motion controls were good - so were handheld. I got used to being able to curve punches, jump and dash to set up my next attack. I'm not sure I'll get it on release, but if the price is right, I'll pick it up.

I went to pick this up today but they have removed it from the eshop...

This looks really cool. A mix of Gauntlet, Diablo and Magicka! This is definitely on my wishlist!
