I'm 38 my wife is 42 and I'll need a bigger box to store these along with skylanders and infinity figures we already own plus the new trap team ones, marvel infinity, and these...

Better start saving now...gonna be an expensive holiday! Between all those, watch dogs (still shocked it wasn't cancelled) MAYBE call of duty advanced warfare, captain toad, and smash bros..not looking forward to credit card bills come January

The extended battery on the nintendo online store is AWESOME, it's only $30 here in the US (not sure elsewhere) but worth every penny. It's added weight is barely noticable but for long play stretched it's a must own

Oh Brother...here we go again...I hope nintendolife has plenty of cheese because their will be a ton of WHINE all day on this topic. The several usual suspects who shall remain nameless (as we all know who by now) will chime in with their usual "GAMEPAD SUCKS, GET RID OF IT, WIIU SUCKS NINTENDO SUCKS" and the rest of us who live in a little place called reality will laugh and shrug our shoulders. The gamepad IS wiiu, it's not like a gimicky kinect that nobody wants. I wouldn't play without it, ONLY mario kart 8 I play with the wiimote, other than that it's gamepad all the way

Then you keep the digital copy and trade in the physical one...geez I swear never seen so many whiners like I do on this site. Nintendo is giving away free stuff and STILL people complain, it's never good enough. Can someone start a zombie invasion already please? Too many entitle mentality people in this world.

While I understand your anti dlc frustration (I to hate dlc overall) nintendo DID give EVERYONE who purchased this a FREE 40 dollar game...that's a lot of lost revenue. Asking for everything else to be free is a bit silly

HEY READ THIS...NEED SOME HELP HERE!!!

I am wondering if anyone else has this same issues. I purchased the extended battery from the nintendo online store as soon as it became available in the US. Ever since I installed it, I can no longer use the power button on the gamepad to turn on the console, but what's wierd is I can use it to turn the system off...

Has anyone else had this happen to them? Any help would be appreciated!

While I'm not one of those "dudebros" gamers who live and die off first person shooters, I have played most call of duty games. I thought ghosts on wiiu was awesome, and while I did not enjoy black ops 2 on wiiu that was because of story not gameplay. If this does come out on wiiu I will pick it up as usually the wiiu call of duty goes on sale less than two weeks after release at best buy. I got both black ops 2 and ghosts for less than $30 on sale at best buy within a month of release.

On that topic, if anyone is interested...here in new orleans ghosts and black ops are now 70% off at toys r us but it's instore only. I suppose other toys r us stores would be doing the same thing. They also have zombiu, splinter cell, resident evil, walking dead, and a few more wiiu games clearing out...just a heads up

I'm sorry but I must disagree with those who feel Nintendo "needs" bigger hard drives on wiiu. I have 26 disc based games and with the free wind waker I'll get from Mario kart 36 downloaded games/virtual console games plus a full menu in wii mode and I still have more than 13GB free space. Heck my old xbox 360 is the 2nd model they ever did with a 60GB hard drive and half of that is still free. Only my ps3 fat original I've had to upgrade twice, other than that I'm good.

While is suspect someday a bigger drive version of wiiu or it's successor may be in the cards, I still feel digital downloads won't ever truly eclipse hard copies unless it's forced like pspgo or what xbox one was trying to do

Maybe see if she likes some lego games, those were some of the first ones my wife and I played together. But like you said they are both great franchises. My only two gripes about infinity are split screen multiplayer and lack of playsets versus toybox characters. I too look forward to both this and trap team.

His character was in the 1st game, but he did not include a playset so you could only use him in the toybox. Actually all the post launch figures were like that. Only lone ranger, cars, and the "worlds" of the starter pack figures had playsets. That is why I have not filled out my collection yet and have been playing more skylanders as all figures work in the "main" game mode

edit: oops someone beat me to the punch, sorry didn't see that. I also forgot the toy story figures, they had a playset.

I agree with other posters however, I wish their were more Disney characters for these games and more actual playsets...but I guess you can't have it all right?

It would be nice to have a tron, wreck it ralph, or black hole playset but I won't hold my breath

A couple of things...

first, I read on another site the game is coming to all "previous" platforms and ps4 / xbox one. That being said, it's WAY BEYOND TIME to put the wii to bed for good. Considering the wiiu is the ONLY next gen console that is backwards compatible and you don't need any special software or cost to use it, why companies still want to maket wii and not wiiu I really don't get.

Second, my wife and I love skylanders and infinity, but we really hope the multiplayer is one screen like the skylanders games, neither of us is a big fan of split screen.

Finally, this is a day one wiiu purchase, and I can't wait for that agent Coulson figure!

Yeah that's true I forgot about just dance, although I have never liked those games or understood how they became so popular. I am not an xbox guy but I have always preferred dance central games to just dance when I get in the mood to shake my groove thang LOL. In all seriousness, I will play dance central with my wife and her friends, but I never play just dance.

As far as rayman, hopefully they keep supporting wiiu with those, they are always similar but always very awesome platformers.

Just curious, what are your thoughts on watch dogs wiiu? Think it will be cancelled?

As others have said this will end up being ubi-fodder for dropping wiiu support. Do they really expect it to sell well on wiiu MONTHS after everyone else gets it for other systems?

I've said many times I fully expect the wiiu version to be cancelled, which is a shame as I'd want it on wiiu over any other system

I just think it's a dumb move on Nintendo's part when the wiiu is struggling and it's already backwards compatable. The time for wii mini has long since passed

It should be bundled, this game alone will hopefully shift a lot more wiiu's off the shelf.

And for crying out loud Nintendo discontinue the wii and wii mini already!

In regards to watchdogs I hope you are right, because i want to own it on wiiu. I do not want to have to get ANOTHER next gen system right now to play it. I wouldn't purchase it for PS3 or Xbox 360 and I sure as heck am not buying an xbox one ever.
But here is the thing, ubi already said AC unity is not coming to wiiu, has been dropping support as time goes on, and we all remember how the wiiu got that "definitive edition" of colonial marines we were promised (I know, different company but it's the premise) .I just feel the chance of cancellation is very high because it's doomed to fail from the start BY DESIGN

Definitely a day one pick up, absolutely loved the first one and old enough to have played all these classics back in the day!

I thinks it's way past time to completely phase out wii and completely transition everything to wiiu

Wishful thinking that someday this could be played without using my n64 on wiiu virtual console, and I agree with the fullbringichigo guy...much better than the remake which was great in its own right but their is just something about the original. Easily one of my ALL TIME favorite games

first off the wiiu is more powerful than ps3 and xbox360, people love to use this argument but they are wrong.

second, their is no need for wiiu to be as powerful as ps4/Xbox one..if they were all the same in terms of power what purpose would it serve?

finally lets talk about power...colecovison and intellivision were "more powerful" than the atari 2600 and what happened? PLENTY Of powerful systems in the past and so what? did neo geo, cdi, psp, ps vita, 3do, or 32x set the world on fire? exactly

Good thing Nintendo has something EA sorely lacks...class. I would have tweeted back so glad you finally got SOMETHING to work because battlefield 4 sure STILL doesn't months after it's release for millions of paying customers!

On a side note I'm not big on FPS games as they get repetitive and boring, but for all activisiona fault at least call of duty always works upon release and is so much better than boringfield

No I get that, I was just saying that the wiiu one was advertised as the definitive version that was coming later than the other versions and look how that turned out. Yeah it got horrible reviews and I know that didn't help, but I suspect if watch dogs gets bad reviews the same thing will happen like it did to aliens. Off topic, how is that major jerkface randy pitchford not in jail for what he did? Scamming for years while funneling money into BORINGlands when it was supposed to go towards aliens?

Think about it, neither of the new assassins creed games are coming to wiiu, even the ps3/360 version. Watch dogs is due out in about six weeks on every other console. Do you remember a recent article that said a 2014 watch dogs wiiu was "a possibility" do you really think months later Ubisoft will release a game on wiiu that has been out for a long time on all other systems? Why so they can cry "oh look how bad it sold on wiiu!"

I know ubi was the biggest 3rd party supporter of wiiu for a long time but that ship has sailed

They said the same thing about aliens colonial marines, I think anyone who really thinks watch dogs will ever arrive on wiiu is being naive. Which is a shame, I was really looking forward to it on wiiu. IF I ever get a PS4, that will be the game to justify my purchase, bit I would much prefer it on wiiu

I respectfully disagree with you about wiiu not being able to handle the graphics. Wiiu gets so much flak about not being "powerful" enough yet all the games I have played graphics have been awesome. Personally I care much more about gameplay though

Will assassins creed unity or watch dogs be part of the sale? OH THATS RIGHT those are skipping wiiu, well SKREWU Ubisoft

That's your opinion and you are entitled to it, I respect your view..I just firmly disagree that nintendo isn't "capable" anymore. Look at Super Mario 3D World and Donkey Kong, seem like very capable games. If they don't do it for you, sell your wiiu and move on. Nobody is stopping you.
For me and a lot of other gamers, we want the alternative to the same old song and dance with sony or microsoft.
For now I'll stick with wiiu and my ps3, I see no reason to get anything more than that. NOTHING out right now has me wanting another next gen system. And despite PLENTY of people on this website who disagree with FACTS, Wiiu is a next generation console.

If I want to watch tv or a movie...guess what, I turn on my tv. What a concept.
If I want to look at facebook, I look at my phone.
I MAY be in the minority here, but I want my video game consoles to do one thing, play video games.

I forgot to mention I also do agree Nintendo is "dropping the ball" when it comes to their franchises...Metroid, star fox, f-zero (which I never made a big deal about but I digress), excitebike (not offshoots), eternal darkness, sports games without Mario, EVEN WII SPORTS...all great franchises that should have a new game being made NOW or some news of one at least.. or actually games people want to play on virtual console, MORE nes/snes/n64 classics...I wish they churned those out more often

Well at least you made some valid points, and I'm sorry you feel taken advantage of. But here in the US it was not that bad, and many of the points you listed did not affect us. Hey at least you got Doshin the giant for gamecube, I had to buy a special disc just to play it.

I agree about the selection of virtual console games being horrible MOST of the time, their are literally hundreds of great games they could have on there right now. But as far as the cloud based system, or what happened when your wii got stolen... Nintendo is behind on that, yes, but I think it makes sense that they would be as they have nowhere near the online community members that other consoles have. It would probably cost way more than it's worth.

Look at it this way, I have owned FIVE xbox 360s...not because I wanted to, because they kept dying on me. Whereas my wii got dropped, hit, went through two hurricanes, and it still works perfectly. Frankly, Nintendo hardware is usually super reliable.

Thank you for sharing your points, and again sorry it was that bad in the UK. But for a US gamer who didn't experience most of those issues I can understand you opinion just not share it.

I am venting steam as well, no worries! I just feel like Nintendo always gets the shaft. I too think the wiiu will eventually improve though. But honestly their is a "stigma" that Nintendo is only for Nintendo games. But IF 3rd parties put effort into supporting wiiu, gamers would buy them. I really think had wiiu sold like hotcakes, EA, Ubisoft, and others would be "gracing" us with their games more often.
