@Tasuki It's not just that - it's directly a result of Nintendo not bothering to set standards or police any of this. I see a decent amount of this junk on the PS5 as well, but not as much by a huge margin on the Xbox storefront.
Switch had 3 individual games that are bad AI ripoffs of the highly popular TCG Card Shop Simulator game on Steam, and none of them should have been allowed on the eShop in the state they're in and with the very obvious way they're attempting to trick people.
For a company that used to have the Seal of Quality it sucks to see Nintendo be the worst platform for this stuff.
It's the worst. Giving us a more coherent way to browse new releases and the store in general - along with the ability to hide or better navigate our purchased games (scrolling to the bottom of my current list of games to reinstall stuff like Xenoblade really needs to work better) would be excellent too.
I have dozens of games and demos that I'll never touch again so hiding them behind a new tab like PS/Xbox allows me to do would be a great addition.
Anything that New Blood touches is worth the time and effort to look at. One of the best publishers out there and I’m excited this is coming to Switch. Been waiting on a date since it was at that show in Japan a few months back.
OG Haunted Castles being in there, as meh as it is, is still a great thing to have in for game preservation and a good little extra just for the heck of it. I know it doesn't actually effect the score, but just my perspective from it.
I'd argue that, without a doubt, them not 'modernizing' that is to say, changing the very thing that gives Famicom Detective Club its charm is a huge plus and a huge reason that I'm going to play this game.
This is one of the instances where I wouldn't mind paying him extra. You can get Stardew for next to nothing these days - and it was never too much to begin with. With everything that's in there, it really could've been a fully priced game - but since it wasn't, and I still have more hours in it than anything else - I would gladly give that guy money - and I do but past having the game on everything that I have PC/console wise, I've extended out to FanGamer and other outlets.
The attitude is admirable though - and goes up there with the ethos of other devs and studios like New Blood Interactive that I really trust and will support anything they do going forward.
The world mode looks like the one that I might like to play - so I'm glad to know that it can be played without an internet connection. Might keep this on the wishlist and look for a sale.
@OptometristLime Nope. What that user stated is that the game is not an early access game. This is a lie that has been spread throughout this comment section with.. basically no one until then taking the time to actually go and check that.
It's a game that is released and has a content map. Stardew Valley amongst a ton of other games that wouldn't get slandered followed that model. It's pretty straight forward and a flat out lie to claim that the game is on early access on ANY platform.
Good to hear. And as someone who plays quite a number of tabletop and digital hex based war-games, the particular look and style that they went with here is actually a plus for me.

Re: Koei Tecmo Shadow Drop 'Warriors: Abyss' Arrives On Switch This Week
@Zverik it was for the consoles that got it the day of launch, Switch is just delayed.
Re: Random: Geez, PS5 Game 'Anime Life Sim' Sure Looks Familiar
Sony doesn't even try to moderate or look at whatever slop people want to put up on their store. It's wild.
Re: Unpacking Dev Says Nintendo "Hasn't Responded" To Reports Of Copycat Games
Nintendo doesn't care. That much has been clear for the lifespan of the eShop.

Re: No, Indie Hit 'Unpacking' Hasn't Unboxed New DLC, It's Just Another Naff eShop Clone
@Coalescence That is... not the take away here.

Re: Surprise! DOOM + DOOM II Get Newly Enhanced Release On Switch eShop
@gojiguy The big thing here is going to be the in-game mod browser that's going to give a LOT of extra content.
