How to catch Arceus in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the latest adventure in the Pokémon franchise, this time bringing with it a whole new open world, new catching mechanics and more. While the deep mysteries of Hisui, and which Pokémon you’re going to encounter, are left for you to solve, there are a few Pokémon that you might need a bit of help catching.

The one Pokémon that’s always been incredibly difficult to catch also happens to be the box legendary of this new game. Since its introduction in Generation 4, Arceus has only ever been officially catchable a few times.

While this is the first game you can catch the God Pokémon without an outside event or download, that doesn’t mean it’s easy...

How to catch Arceus in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Here’s the main thing you need to know — the only thing, really. In order to encounter Arceus, you need to catch every Pokémon in the game.

That’s no easy task, but thankfully we’ve got a list of the complete Pokédex, so that should make things a bit easier.

Once you’ve done that, head back to the Sinnoh Temple and play the Azure flute. A white staircase will extend into the sky, and you’ll be invited to face Arceus. We won’t spoil the fight for you, because it’s definitely worth seeing.
