I was talking about me, you can play whatever, I don't care either way. I don't care about a single game you mentioned for one reason or another (well except MMX and Chrono Trigger but I have those games already).

@kkslider5552000: I understand that you were talking about you no hard feelings its all cool. I guess when theres nothing coming out that you are looking forward too than yeah I guess a person would consider said console is dead. I guess I took it that you should the Wii is dead cause of the announcement of the Wii U thats all.

Does anyone know if Nintendo is going to bring over Last Story and Xenoblade to NA?

La Mulana will be out soon apparently and I do have an unopened copy of Sonic Colors so there's at least that.

Someone announce the Last Story and EARTHSEEKER to be released in America. Those are the important games left as far as I'm concerned.

....Mario Party 9 is....catching my interest. (surprisingly...lol) The series for me got stale for me after 5...but since Hudson lives no longer (sadly), maybe I'll start joining the party again. xD

(who's in charge of this one anyways?)

I think Nintendo might be doing the next Mario Party on its own.

Did you guys miss the part during the presentation where they said there are more Wii games they will announce later?
The Wii U likely won't be out until mid to late next year. That's almost a year from now.
The Wii has a while left to go. It's not dead yet.

do you have a source regarding the more wii games thing? I'm dying for information here...
edit: I just read IGN's liveblog for both Nintendo round-tables, and nothing of the sort is even remotely said there. Miyamoto says there are Wii games at E3 other than Zelda (ie: the ones we already know about) and when asked if Zelda is Nintendo's last Wii game answers "I dunno..."
If I am mistaken, please by all means show me evidence to the contrary.

I think Xenoblade may make it over but I haven't heard anything about The Last Story for a long while now. It's also still unknown if Pandora's Tower will even get a release outside of Japan.

Both are confirmed for Europe and I think one of the voice actors for Xenoblade chronicles mentioned an NA release. I hope The last story gets an NA release too so that Americans don't miss out on such an awesome looking game.

The Last Story ♦ Xenoblade ♦ Kirby Wii ♦ Rhythm Heaven ♦ Skyward Sword ♦ Pilotwings ♦ Rayman Origins ♦ Pandora's Tower ♦ Earth Seeker

These are the game I am going to get if everything goes according to plan (they actually get released!!). Might also give a go to TinTin if it turns out good.

Top-10 games I played in 2017: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (WiiU) - Rogue Legacy (PS3) - Fallout 3 (PS3) - Red Dead Redemption (PS3) - Guns of Boom (MP) - Sky Force Reloaded (MP) - ...

I can see Nintendo testing the water with the DSi - 3DS at the moment and this will help with the wii + wiiU.
The 3DS isnt a kids system, I have one and although my kids have had a go once or twice I feel happy as a parent for them to stick with their DSi's for now. Its a similar story with the wii, hopefully the wii will have some sort of transfer option to the wiiU for my wiiware collection in all its glory and thanks to it being backwards compatible I will be able to bring along my games too. However I would probably pass on my wii to my little girl (who has my old cube at the mo) because my son already has his old wii. Because of this I would imagine games still being developed for the wii and like the PS2 did after the PS3 came out I think it will have a couple of years left in it. Also, like the DSi enhanced DS games developers may be able to make wiiU enhanced wii games that would work on the wii but with the option of HD on the wiiU thus new games that work on both systems till at least the wiiU is better established.

Just cause a system hasnt released any games you like doesnt mean its dead. Some examples of great games that came out on the Wii this year

Super Adventure Island (VC)
Chrono Trigger (VC)
Megaman X (VC)
Lego Pirates of the Caribbean (Disc)
MDK 2 (WiiWare)
Conduit 2 (Disc)
WWE All Stars (Disc)
Lego Star Wars 3 (Disc)

So now how can you say the Wii is dead?

Well, only one of the games you mentioned is an exclusive Wii game (Conduit 2) and it didn't exactly go above and beyond the call of duty. The same holds true for Trackmania, A Shadow's Tale, and Worms Battle Islands. There hasn't been any great reason to be a Wii owner this year. I think all of us are just catching up on older games while we wait for Skyward Sword: the final nail in the Wii's coffin.

My point being is that when all the gaming manufacturers saw that Sony was going with discs and Nintendo was going with cartridges they lost alot of their third party support for the N64.

Hardware is just one of the hurdles developers seem to face when working with Nintendo. Let's hope Nintendo is serious about reaching out to third parties.

...in my pants.

yeah, that list looks pretty sad. You mentioned eight games of the last 6 months: half of it is downloadable and the physical releases are...meh! This year has been shameful for Wii owners so far. de Blob 2 and Conduit 2 are the two only games released in 2011 worth buying. de Blob 2 is mega: shame on the folks who overlooked it.

Hopefully this Fall looks promising if we'll get what Nintendo promised (which is MORE than just Skyward Sword). It's Nintendo's fault though, for not giving us any decent game for 9 months in September (when we'll see Kirby Wii). They should have definitely released at least a couple of titles of theirs, even half-baked ideas, just to keep Wii owners from getting furious.

The Wii is more or less "Dead" Even thought the Wii U will not be released until November 2012. Anyone hoping for an April 2012 launch will be dissapointed. The Wii has 16 months left in its official lifespan. That is a long time to go though a dought of new releases. The legend of Zelda Skyward Sword and Wii play sequel (Wii Move) are Nintnedo's only first party releases between now and Wii U launch. There are a few more Wii games coming out but just like with the N64, Gamecube the new releases are few and far between.

I would expect that the Wii will only sell 4 million more consoles for a final total of 90 million. Nintendo is now going to focus on 3DS and the Upcoming Wii U.

The Wii is dead. For all intents and purposes even thought 16 months before the Wii U launches.

KIRBY. WII.

Stop complaining and GO PLAY GAMES.

Imperfect

Mario party nine will probaly help too. At this point its wise to go go throught the backlog of games you were to poor to afford at the time and buy them. Youd be suprised at how many quality titles you may have missed. I belive their is a thread on this site that talks about this.

Good tip. I picked up Madworld on amazon.com for cheap, and might get Okami next.

While I definitely agree about going back and picking up gems you missed the first time (de blob 2, silent hill, little king's story etc.), I would have still wanted some more first party franchises to appear on the system. For me, Wii would be practically complete if we got a new Pilot Wings, Luigi's Mansion and Pikmin... the first two being motion-plus based

spizzamarozzi

Course there's a ton of overlooked old Wii games to pick up, but this doesn't justify the fact that it's a SHAME for a big company to keep its current home system in a limbo of "no decent material" for nearly one year.

I wonder how many Wii owners have bought another console this year after seeing the ultra-sad Wii 2011 release schedule.
The big games we're all waiting for (beside Zelda) are just translations of games that already exist, so it's not a big creative effort here. They are making Luigi's Mansion for 3DS, so why not making an adaptation for Wii, while we wait for the next console? Same with Pikmin 3, really...would it be hard to make one version for Wii and a version that takes advantage of the new controller for WiiU?

I mean, WiiU's release date is not exactly behind the corner and we still don't know the details such as launch price, launch titles etc, so how are we supposed to spend this year and a half that separates us from WiiU?
If Skyward Sword would last 18 months instead of 35 hours, that would be a start but its not going to happen right?
