Topic: Wii's dead?

So far it's looking this way from what I've seen. Just like last gen all over again.

Not yet. I hope not. There's still some things to do and the only reason Nintendo held back on showing Wii titles is to probably focus on 3DS and WiiU (as you can see). I'm still looking forward to Kirby Wii, Zelda, Fortune Street (wicked!), DQX, Last Story, Pandora's Tower, Pokémon Stadium 3 (whatever it's called), and.. Well, kinda Mario Party 9. It's been like 4 years yo.

Before I just resort to crying and mindless rants, I have to say I'm surprised they didn't announce a DKCR2 with Kremlings back. Seemed so obvious to me at least (as using it to hype a possible sequel is blatantly the only reason for them not being in DKCR1 anyway).

And the gen before that

Skyward Sword will definitely keep the Wii going.

Where is Metroid Dread. That's important too.

Um no. There are still a few good games left. Wii ain't dead until at least next year

N64 at least had 3 of the best games ever (Tooie, Majora's Mask, Paper Mario). If we get enough localizations and the like I'm ok...probably.

On the way out surely, but we've still got close to a year minimum (and it will probably be more than a year from now, i'd bet) until WiiU launches.

that's my problem. I kinda don't want to have my Wii to be ignored for most of a year and a half (I can't see WiiU being released before November next year), and at least so far, it has been completely forgotten about at E3.

There are just so many interesting games to catch up for cheap.

106 games and no shovelware yet. And still more than 40 games on my radar.

And the Wii U is fully backwards compatible, so more happy bargain Wii games hunting.

I'll be glad when it is. Then I get the family Wii to take with me to college in a couple years, coupled with the games all becoming cheaper.

With E3 still going for another couple of days, is it likely that more Wii games will be announced/confirmed in a low-key environment?

Maybe Wii isnt dead afterall. I'm not to hyped w/Nintendo new direction. Just with the 3ds the successor is lacking and straying what the predecessor had Imo. (i'll explain later)

Even though it was shamelessly forgotten during the main presentation, Wii still has more than a couple of aces up its sleeves. Geez, they have even announced a couple of VERY VERY good games for the old DS (which was considered dead exactly 1 year ago).

I'm sure they presented the WiiU because of the Wii drop in sales...they need to keep the interest in Nintendo high for the home console market. What they showed was pretty vague and still it doesn't look like they have anything certain in their hands, so I bet the new console won't be released before Fall 2012.
I think the introduction of the WiiU will also serve to smoother the relationship between Nintendo and third party producers.

If everything goes according to plan, there's still Kirby, Mario Party 9, Fortune Street, Rhythm Heaven, Last Story, Pandora's Tower, maybe Pikmin 3 and Xenoblade, and of course Zelda (five of these have been officially confirmed at E3, even though it wasn't during the conference). Hopefully a few more. So yeah, not quantity but there's definitely a lot of quality...and this is just the stuff in the pipeline for the following 6 months. I think there'll be a couple of surprises.

What shocks me is that they haven't used the Yoshi serie yet. A game like Yoshi's Island on Wii would have sold zillions.

Zelda and Kirby do want outside of that blah. I'm actually more excited for Kirby I wasn't expecting it and the video looked awesome.

I love it how the moment the new console is offical announce someone always within hours says oh the current console is dead. If you notice most consoles stick around for at least 2 to 3 years after the new one is released.

What's the problem you folks have with Pandora's Tower? Looks great to me!
oh and don't forget there's also Rayman Origins in the pipeline, that looks kinda nice
