It's an alright game. Very meticulous. Very technical. But the visuals are bland, the music is non-existent aside from the end of the rock guitar rock piece at the end of the climb, and I would have liked to have seen a bit more diversity between the various walls. I do like the crickets though.
Well I don't think the controls are necessarily bad, they're just a bit tweaky. Might cause some people expecting a certain level of responsiveness a bit of frustration. My wife hates it. But she's not a very patient person. I'm most likely going to emphasize that it takes time and practice and a trip or two through the tutorial to gain a good hold on it. The climbing without the board is much easier.
Not only that but this is a success on Nintendo's part - they're responsible for yet another game that makes you look silly and yet somehow draws onlookers to try the game for themselves!
Just as a matter of interest, I just created uploaded another vid of the game. Shows me using the Balance Board. Look how quickly I can clear the stage using the Balance Board. (I can still improve, too!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYLQ6EP3vZA
(How do you implement YouTube links directly on here? It's not the same as other sites, it seems.)
@CB: Well, sorrrrrryyyyyyy. It's not as easy as it looks and like I said, that was my VERY FIRST TRY with the game...
What are you apologizing for? It was a comment on the way the character looks when he moves, not on the quality of your playing. Unless you were involved in the design of the game it's not a reflection on you...
Yeah, I realize you were intentionally being a jerk, I just didn't want to draw attention to it. The point still holds. It was a comment about the game and not your playing, so why so defensive?
Yep, ya got me. An unnecessary, rude slap across the face a few weeks ago that I replied to with a smiley face and an explanation that I never meant to offend you in the first place. Jus' call me The Jerk.

I cry fowl.
IGN: The holiday Wii lineup looks thin for the hardcore crowd. We see this. Gamers see this. What, if anything, is Nintendo planning to address it?
Oh good, I am neither a gamer or hardcore. Saves me from having to be IGNorant. Right, Down, A, Down, Right, Up
