My guess for Corbie's hate for the BB would be its awful, imprecise control, its relatively uninspired inclusion in most games, and the fact that it is a universal handicap in every application. Step and Roll is the last chance I'm giving my BB before it ends up in that special place my unused electronics go.

Awful, imprecise control? Sounds more like user error to me! Don't feel bad, I used to blame the controller whenever I failed at a game... when I was 12.
Yeah, the Balance Board is absolutely stunning in how precise it is. Your feet need to get used to it, just like your hands needed lots of practise when you picked up a controller for the first time.
That video made the game look so awful. The climber moves like he's too drunk to even stumble to the bathroom, let alone scale a wall. Or is he just blitzed out on mescaline?
I don't care how precise the board is, getting the climber to do what you want is hit or miss. Even leaning forward and backward doesn't help a whole lot. The hands work alright, but getting the feet to cooperate and not tangle is mostly luck and quick stepping down.
I'm with Philp, I think the guy is wasted off his a**.
Mostly luck? Oh boy are you ever off. That just screams of not getting used to the game. There's something really simple you should be doing that makes all the difference in the world and clearly you're not doing it.
Then enlighten me. I'm leaning back to bend the knees, leaning forward to pull up, and pulling back on the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to pull up in the arms. I went through the entire tutorial from start to finish.
Even Giles Goddard could barely do it at E3 it was so tweaky. LOL.
Lol. I'd rather let you figure it out for yourself, honestly. Besides I'm not perfect at the Balance Board controls yet myself, either. If I get a chance tomorrow morning before work, I'll play some more and take a vid of me using the Balance Board. But before then, hopefully these vids will finish uploading. Geez...
I'm getting better, but the balance board part is what gives me the most trouble. I have to keep flailing until I get the leg to go where I want it to. I'm about to quit and write it up. I still need to do some climbing without the balance board. Better get on it. This one is looking like one below my favorite number.
Not giving up, but I've completed a lot of the rocks, and they're not really changing much. The crickets are getting louder though. But I need to get some time in without the board since many will be playing it that way. Oh and I haven't even started writing it up yet. Just notes.
Lol, yes, those crickets are hard to miss aren't they? Well that's good. Just keep in mind that many will be playing the game with the Balance Board as that is, after all, the main draw behind the game.
