Man I am having trouble at the first big fight. I go past the big iron gate and I come across a village full of zombies. I always ended up running out of ammo and end up getting swarmed. Any advice?

PS: Is it me or are the CG Cut scenes in RE: Archives for the Wii not as sharp/clear as the gamecube version? I haven't playe Remake for the cube in a while, but little things like this bother me. I remember the cutscenes being sharper/clearer.
Actually I have not played the GC version, only the Wii Archives version of it so I can't comment on the cutscenes being less clear. But the audio in the cutscenes seems to be really distorted, like I can barely hear the voices over the music. I could probably go through the settings and turn the music down but it seems kinda strange the audio wouldn't be mixed properly by default. At first I thought it was my surround sound, so I went directly through my tv and it still had the same issue. All of the Youtube videos I've seen of the GC version the audio during the cutscenes seems perfect.

I'm not sure where you are at? Does it start with a cut scene of Leon going behind a tree and getting a better look of what is a head?

Yep thats the part I always seem to be running out of ammo a guide that I read said that after you take out a certain amount of zombies that a cut scene should start but I never get that far and run out of ammo am I missing some places to get ammo or something??

Ok, when it starts just go straight till you get to a little cabin on your left there should be a fence around it jump over it and go in, there should be a cut scene of Leon blocking off the door. (If you don't see a cut scene your end the wrong place)
When the cut scene ends you should see some stairs go around them and there will be some stuff under the stairs you can break to get ammo and then run up the stairs fast because they are going to break down the door.
As soon as you get to the top there should be a shot gun hanging on the right grab it and start taking guys out when they start coming, if you see the guy with the chain saw take him out first, if he get's close to you your dead he can kill you with one swipe.
Just wait for the cut scene if it gets to be to much for you jump out of the window and just keep on the move, I'm not sure how long it will take for the cut scene it seems to be different each time I play it.
I hope that helps and like I said the guy with the chain saw is tough use the shot gun on him, and in till you hear the chain saw stop he ain't dead.
Tasuki - It's been a long time since I've played RE4. Splat's method is probably better, but here's what I do.
At the gate, I go to the left and try to get as far as possible before taking a shot. Eventually you'll have to shoot a zombie or two to get by, and that triggers all of the zombies to come for you. If possible, try to get into the two story cabin that Splat mentioned. You can pick up some ammo in there. There's a shotgun at the top of the stairs, also. Then, I go out the window on the first floor and run to a little shed on the left. There's only one door and no window on this shed. I just stand in the doorway and shoot to keep the zombies back. You can run out to grab ammo after you take out some zombies, but be careful because there might be zombies on the nearby roofs, and sometimes they throw pitchforks down at you.
I also try to use my knife as much as possible to conserve ammo. If I knock a zombie down by shooting it in the legs and there aren't other zombies around, I'll run up to it and slash with the knife as many times as possible.
I've played through this part probably 5-6 times, and I have never seen the chainsaw zombie. I've heard the chainsaw, but never actually seen it.
Splat - I noticed that your original question was about the other Resident Evil games for Wii. RE4 was my first RE game, and when I finished it, I also wanted to play the other games. After reading about the controls, I wasn't interested anymore.
Are there any other games (not just RE games) that are like RE4 - action/adventure games with excellent controls, great graphics, etc.?

RE4 is a beast and I recommend the wii version. I dont get why capcom insist on making rail shooters when this 3rd person ction is beastly for wii. they need to quit w/the spin offs and make so great quality.

The controls in RE4 reminded me of the controls in Starwars: The Force Unleashed on the Wii, only instead of using the Wii remoter to shoot a gun you use the Wii remote to swing the Light Saber. If you havent played that yet I recommend that. Its one of my favorite Wii games.
@Splat: Ok thanks for the tip I usually ran out of the village I would stand back where Leon uses the binoculars and shoot at the zombies and run back towards the big iron gate but I usually dont make it there. The one time that I did go into the village I ran right into that Chainsaw zombie and he gave me quite the haircut. I will try your tactic next time I play and let you know how it goes.
