i got the same experience capturing quropeco, but somehow i trapped him even with rathian on the same battleground. quro started to creep away and i ran in front of him and set a trap, the timing was just perfect on my side
@BellGoRiiing - As you enter Area 6 from the north, head straight forward and there should be what looks like a series of cracks in the wall just to your left: you can use this as a rudimentary ladder if you walk up to it and press a (on CC.) Hope that helps.
There is a shortcut in your base camp on Deserted Island. Jump off the dock into the water and swim through the cave you'll end up right outside the beach. This will help cut down time on all your Lagiacrus hunts. There is also a short-cut in the Flooded Forest at the back of your basecamp.
I'm using the Chiminal Armor on Level 3 Quests (Getting Ready To Fight the Royal Ludroth and currently capturing Q Boy) is there any other armor that I can buy or make that has better defense then the kind that I'm using? Help would be appreciated!
@Supermarioman Um, instead of asking what armour is better you should actually look at the armour stats and decide for yourself. There's plenty of armour that has better defense but you certainly don't have access to it that early on in the game.
Also "Q Boy" is Qurupeco, also known as Peco for short.
I am loving the weapon-tree. I have a mighty fine collection already that will only improve as monsters die. 4 x SnS, 6 x Great Swords, 3 x Hammers, 4 Switch-Axes, and many Bowgun bits. I have no intention of using the Lance & I have just bought my first Long Sword last night. Oh, and I have about four and a half suits of armour though I stubbornly stick with the Alloy Mail, it's my favourite for now (it looks cool) and the lower stats will force me to become a better player.
I've already messed some weapons up, taking them in directions I didn't like. It's cool you can just buy a fresh one, upgrade it as you did, but then make a different choice and open up a new branch.
Long story short... I am still immensely impressed with this game.

Yeah, I had to get up there to kill the remaining baggi and couldn`t find a way up. I saw the cracks and thought, "No, that`s too obvious. There has to be another way." So I piddled around only to find out that WAS the "ladder" up there. XD
Never really notice them, guess I'll take another look. lol
Oh and just putting it out there, all because of that bloodstone quest, I actually had some weird dream where I was being chased by Gigginox. XD (because it actually happened while doing that quest, lol)

Dude the gigginox is terrifying. Because it`s like a giant parasite/alien. AND you mostly see it in the dark. Man, I was like "Hurry up bloodstones!" When I was in dark areas.
Any suggestions on how to get past Rathian and to Peco (I like Q Boy better, its makes him sound like a bully ) with in the 50 minutes? Do I need to use the sword and shield combo so I can throw the Sonic Bombs even with my weapon out or should I use something besides a Bow-Gun? Like the Lance or Switch Axe? Help would be appreciated. (OK I'll admit It, I'm a total noob at this game and really don't want to try a ton of crap just for my hopes to be brought down )
Well.....this sucks. I try to do that Ludroth quest again because I think messed up and didn't get the orbs last time. Well I finished it again, but the didn't give me the opportunity to get more orbs (To make for the ones I missed).
I gotta hunt Gigginox now. I've got plenty of antidotes to do it. After that, it's the big showdown with Lagiacrus.
I died...lol. I need to upgrade my Gobul sword...which requires something from Diablos. (marrow I think) I didn't know the thing could fly either, it escaped me and I tried searching the caves then noticed it outside leaving an area again. xD

@ LTG - Seriously don't sweat the Armor Spheres. You would given them like candy later I over 99.
@Dung - The Dung Bombs work nearly everytime if you have the DungMaster skill activated. Otherwise it could take a few tries. Also, if you're pinned by Rathian chuck a dung Bomb in her face to shake free instantly.
