I need Gobul stuff now to make an armor of him. Already got his lance, which is pretty cool.
A quick way to get gobul stuff is to fish him out of the water, and just gang up on him until he dies(this also applies for capturing the thing, too.). We did that and killed one in less than a minute. I am dead serious.
I just got done defeating Golab... or whatever that fish thing is. He wasn't as hard as the Barroth though. Now I'm continuing on my way to Level 4 difficulty quests.

The Jhen Mohran event quest is much easier than the Jhen urgent quest. It's a piece of cake in comparison. Now, the HR 31+ Jhen quest is pure terror...

@BellGoRiiing The Rathian "set" would be the armour set, not a weapon. Weapon names tend not to have the monster names in them (like Lagi's bowgun is called Thundacrus and Gigginox's are called Poison Stinger and Bloodguilty Maw), and some - if not most - weapons aren't associated with any particular monster.
I know but I usually can tell that the weapon goes along with the monster since it's made from it...like Royal Ludroth's swords or Gobul's (the one I'm using now). Just couldn't find a weapon that focused on Rathian's...so I guess...I dunno, use Giggi's sword?

Well I'd imagine Rathian's great sword would be fire, but there are better fire enemies soon after like Rathalos and Urugaan. If you're looking for a poison sword I'm pretty sure Gigginox's weapons would give that element.
Yeah you really should judge a weapon by its stats rather than what monsters it comes from.
