HOLY HECK BARROTH IS AWESOME/DIFFICULT!!! I just captured it (when we didn`t have to) and nearly lost the quest. I need some better armor. I would love to have a pet barroth.

Man! I Just saw that Lagi. Still finished my Guts quest (Guess that title had more than one meaning). I had to keep running away and coming back to get the job done (Didn't have to redo it at least). I came back the first time, jumped in...and he was still there. Had to make to make like a banana.....and split! Then when I came back I was a bit worried he was gonna come out and get me while I was near the water trying to figure a way to get the job done.
I tell you what though...it really sucks losing your bearings when he's chasing you, which I did (luckly I still made it out, but barely I bet ya).

Is anyone outside of Europe gonna have the wii speak? I got Wiispeak just for this.

...This just randomly popped up in my head, would be awesome if we could create our own monster...XD

Machu, Edward, Jim (not an NL member) and myself took three goes at this big brute last night and came so close it hurts! That second attempt was so painful when we took that last hit. I know we can beat him tonight though guys!

Am I right in thinking that you can only talk to other players via wiispeak if they have wiispeak?

Yep. You also have to add them to your Friend roster.

Balls to buying one of them then, I'll just seek out a cheap USB keyboard.
Are all USB keyboards compatible with the wii or will I have to buy an expensiv-sorry-exclusive one?

All of them are compatible (98% sure anyway) Keyboard is really the way go. Then you can speedily communicate with your entire team regardless. It is a Huge help being able to type fast. Everyone who is going to play seriously on-line should have one.

I have tp turn my WiiSpeak off a lot due to an insane and loud house. They really should have went head-set.

I rather suspect that wiispeak would hinder me too.
All anybody would hear is Mrs Badger making sarcastic comments and saying stuff like 'all these HUGE swords, are these guys overcompensating?'

I'm HR 21 now. I'm out of my teens! The 3* quests are pretty crazy hard. Gigginox pwns gunners pretty badly.

Also finally finished the 2* capture Barroth quest with JayArr last night. So happy that I finished them all now. Capturing Barroth is harder than hunting because it's not obvious when he's weak enough.

The ***hole kept turning me into rockman. An awesome beastie, an awesome fight. I'll be playing this afternoon and will be looking to get myself a weapon which will give him plenty of hurt-hurt. Plus, I'm gonna make some more bullets for our resident gunner Jim. _{got like 400 bone husks I'm not using}

Snap, I live with a couple of people who like to come talk at me randomly. Plus, I feel silly shouting at the telly. :/ Keyboard ftw!

@All: So, I've tried adding a few people but keep failing. Am I right in thinking you can only friend someone if they are online? If so that sucks and I wish they'd just done flipping friend-codes.

Oh nos I haz to go to school. That is the real monster here. Taking away from my precious play time of hunting monsters
Today I'll re-stock on my items and have another go at the barroth

@SuperZ: Good to hear I'm not the only one who resents anything that takes away from Monster-time. Work, friends, family, food, they all just get in the way. I bet you spend all day gazing out the school window planning Barroth's doom.

Correct me if I`m wrong, but isn`t there "gathering quests" where I can just go into an area gather resources at my leisure without having to hunt or gather a specific material?

Machu: Your right you can only friend them if there online. Not only that if you send them a message they wont recieve it while on a quest. You have to keep sending until they are done and hope they dont sign on another quest before you try to friend them.

@Chucko: Just pick a quest with a really easy sub-quest. Gather everything you need, complete said sub-quest, then 'End via Sub-Quest' at the base camp bed.

@Tech101: Yup, I thought so. I've noticed you can turn off the option to block messages whilst you're on a quest. I might do that, but it could get annoying trying to read/reply while in the middle of a hunt. Hmmm.

I love Cha-Cha. I just used the binoculars to watch him have an epic fight with a Great Jaggi. I did laugh

Machu: I think that option only works with the players in your city. To recieve messages from another server you have to be out of your quest!

Thanks TechDude. That might actually be worth doing, at least that way friends can let you know they're waiting.

@MHTri: Why can't I cultivate Glue Hoppers? No fair! _{oh well, back to the desert...}

FINALLY I beat a Barroth in the single player mode. Took me almost the entire 50 minutes :S

And it was the day after the f***** beat me and other 3 guys in the online.

And hes merely the 4 big beast you face!!!! D:
