Yikes, I need to capture Bird-Boy then it's time for Barroth. Having had such trouble with him online, I'm not looking forward to it. D:

Been meaning to ask, how do you unlock those "Monster Life" clips? I've unlocked some but was wondering about them, does every monster have their own clip? All I have is Qurupeco's (which is funny), Barroth, and Gobul. Wanting to get Jaggi's and Ludroth's...

Oh and if its possible to get them on online mode, lol.

Not every monster has one, which is a shame.

Our team did some great work last night taking down Barroth After we left Machu and Edhe we partied with some other players who were pretty good and we took Barroth down again! One of our team had a Cataclysm Blade which was amazing, stopped the big brute in his steps! Next time Machu you can initiate the quest and we'll take him down again so you can advance to HR9 and beyond

I managed to beat him. I don't know if this will help anyone, but try using the Lance. when you are close to Barroth tap x while shielding to give him a small poke, it's handy as it blocks his attacks while slowly wearing him down, of course... go crazy when you see hes going to roar because he leaves himself open, and when he rolls around in the mud. It helped me anyway defeat him! =) I have beat him a few times since, he randomly showed up in a mission in Sandy Plains and I destroyed him =)

Dazran303: So this is where you are. Been looking for you on modern warfare reflex for about 3 weeks now. I think this game is going to take up all my time now though. Sucks we cant play this game together. That last kill streak you posted was sick!!!

If you think Barroth is hard, you haven't fought Barioth or Uragaan. Really, Barroth is no big deal.

Mmm, sorry if this is wrong to put it here, but it's related to the game. Wanting to buy this game and try it out, but I'm trying to find it with the classic controller pro, anyone know if anyone still has it in stock online anywheres? I tried gamestop, looked around some on ebay, and walmart.com for it, but all I can find is the game only.

You might have to buy the controller on its own. Get it though as i can imagine playing this with the wii remote.

Sorry if this has been posted already because I don't have time to read through 12 pages... but how the heck do you add a monster to the log book. It says you press a + b or something. The hand comes up that names the monster, but it doesn't log it. What am I doing wrong. Sorry, I'm new to this whole monster hunter thing, but I am digging it quite a bit.

If ur using a Classic controller, access the the menu that has the log book. Hold the B button and aim at the monster. When it shows a green area on it, hold A and drag that to the area in the lower right hand corner.

Next up is Gobul. Is that one tough? I don't like fighting underwater...it's scary

Gobul isn't as hard I don't think...he is a pain though, annoyance-wise. Stupid lantern attack...lol. (and tail. >_>)

Hey guys quick question, WHERE do I find monster bone Ls? Need them for like 3 weapons. Also, which armor is better? Rathian or Gobul?(probably rathian.)

You can get Monster Bone L from Lagiacrus as well as Agnaktor in the Volcano area.

The second answer isn't so easy. Are you playing Blademaster or Gunner? Obviously that affects your armour.

Gobul gives good water resistance (+25) and dragon (+10) but poor resistance against fire (-10) and lightning (-15), stun effects will last half as long and its base defence is comparable to Rathian armour. However, a full set of Rathian armour will give you +20 Health and fire resistance of +25, although thunder is -10 and dragon is -20.

I'd probably say use Rathian armour if you have the option although it depends who you're fighting as you should always tailor your armour to your target. Good luck and good hunting

Ahh that Gobul is tough! I'm no good fighting underwater. I died and my time limit was almost up too! Does anyone have some tips? _{I also forgot to use the commanders dagger so that may have something to do with it Prosody}
