Still working through campaign mode. My favorite level so far is the Firestorm level. The explosions are INSANE on this one! But what I love doing the most is grabbing a cube, charging it, then sending it to the middle of the arena, then I charge another projectile, send it flying towards the cube and BOOM! An explosion that pretty much wipes out all of the shields, leaving everyone to run around, defending their territories while launching projectiles at each other.
I saw. I think it's a fair review overall, though he didn't beat the final level because it DOES give you some backstory on the characters once you do. It doesn't seem like he played the game with anyone else and even one other player makes it a much better experience. There's something about hunkering down together in the same territory in co-op mode, desperately trying to defend it that's just inherently fun.

Very frantic and fun!
I try to make sure the explosions only happen at the other end of the arena if at all possible.
One of my favorite techniques is to use the freshly-spawned projectiles as detonation platforms for charged projectiles. Say a shard spawns and the player in the territory near it is distracted or hasn't grabbed it yet. Hit the shard with a charged sphere and the explosion will damage their shield wall. It's especially useful on the firestorm level.
Also, if you have ANYONE else to play with, no matter what skill level, please play the "Hot Potatoes" versus mode and let me know how it goes over.
@ D_Johnson - You're not by any chance Daniel Johnson, the creator of the Jura Demi font in Gravitronix are you?
No. I am not an artist nor a programmer. I don't even know how to do fonts! My username is actually short for Durk Johnson, a fictional character from one of my stories (I am a writer and hope to publish my stories in the future). He is a tough looking biker, hence why I have a biker on my icon.
I love how D_J here is distracting everyone from the guy I'm ACTUALLY in cahoots with (well, kinda, he's a reviewer from another site and received a review copy and is under no obligation to not hate the game if that's how he felt).
That reminds me, though: I should probably email Dan and let him know the game is out...
J-Lo, surely you can appreciate the collective curiosity.
A user named D_Johnson bursts on the NintendoLife scene, loaded for bear with enthusiasm and details about a new WiiWare game with otherwise little mindshare - and he does so on the same day that game was released.
Furthermore, this new user's member ID is a first initial, followed by a last name. This is not a common user name convention here, yet it is one that is shared with your own.
Compounding the coincidences here is your proximity to and mutual support for one another's messages.
But the coincidences don't stop there... The inclusion of one Daniel Johnson in the game's credits? One needn't be a conspiracy theorist to have difficulty accepting that coincidence in and of itself, nevermind in addition to the others I've listed.
If you two aren't somehow affiliated, well, then maybe you ought to be.
True, there are a lot of coincidences there, though if I was going to have a shill, they wouldn't be going under a name listed in the game's credits.
I hate to admit it, but I actually forgot Dan made the font we used for our game. I'm glad this reminded me to email him. He was very polite and even offered to make changes to the font if we needed it.
All things considered, I think that perhaps me posting like this isn't for the best. It's great to hear from people who enjoyed the game, but I can't help but wonder if there would've been some more replies if I wasn't posting. I prefer to get brutally-honest criticism and I don't know if I'll get that as much if my presence is felt.
I don't think you need to worry - our users aren't known for holding back! Once our review is out I'm sure it'll bring a lot of discussion about, so stick around
I would criticize the game, but I haven't played my Wii for a month because I don't have a TV. Also, I don't think I have enough points at the moment.
Sean Aaron ~ "The secret is out: I'm really an American cat-girl." Q: How many physicists does it take to change a light bulb? A: Two, one to hold the light bulb, the other to rotate the universe.
So did we have 2 people that liked this game? anyone else? Who is still getting this dispite the review? For those who played: what do you think about the review. Do you agree with any of it? If you didn't like it; is there anything you did like?
Yep, the game can be enjoyable despite what was said in the review. I don't agree with everything in it - particularly that it describes Gravitronix as a "shabby excuse [for] a game".
We're actually very swamped right now and I'm hopefully going to be using much of tomorrow to help catch us up. Also, as I explained to JL, we're not rushing the review. Plus, I haven't tried the game in a multiplayer setting yet (beyond a 5-minute session with my sibling) so it wouldn't be fair of me to pass judgment at this point.
