Topic: Splatoon - OT

It's looking like they are never going to show any more love to local play. I wish we could at least get some new levels or be allowed to play Tower Control or something. Seems like they could have even had 2 in the same room vs. 2 in the same room online or something. Everyone would have the same advantages and disadvantages that way. I hope local is going to become less supported in other games now. I prefer to play with someone in the same room instead if super hardcore Frank that I've gotten thrown in a few matches with.

So level 25 you get a helmet, 30 you get a jacket, level 35 you get the armor boots replica.

@Undead_terror: Aw, 25 is just a helmet? I thought someone had said you get a Cuttlefish hat at 25. I'm not real big on the helmets in the game.

@AlternateButtons: I don't think the matching system is broken, it's just created in such a way that it doesn't make any sense, at least not to the naked eye, but the naked eye is all we have. And it is vindictive. I can't get more than 3 wins in a row, whenever I do I get matched up w/ 3 C+ against 4 B. At least when I then lose 3 in a row it matches me up against 3 B- w/ 3 B on my team. So its balancing weapons, rank, level, and win and lising streaks. But all we see are rank or level. At this point I feel like if it were just random it would be better. At least I would feel better knowing it was random, rather than some weird system that makes no sense to me.

And like Spoon said, my 10 year old said he's done. He loved the test fire, and was really looking forward to it, but he just plays occasionally as he's addicted to Minecraft, so he's about level 12 playing turf war w/ all the mid 20 guys just getting crushed. They need an under 20 room for turf war. Or ban snipers. Something to make it "fun" again rather than a shooting gallery for higher level players.

Pizza Toppings vs Just Cheese (and Sauce)
Lake vs River (Obviously it'd be similar to "I'd rather go to X" or something, but I can't think of what exactly it would be)
Tile vs Carpet ha ha that would be boring plus carpet would probably win

I'd be ironic to do Apples vs Oranges, but Apple would win popularity I'd guess.

Glass half full or half empty. . Salt and Pepper would be bad as I would see over 80% picking salt.

@Spoony_Tech: Yeah; I would pick Pepper at least. Salt has more uses unfortunately but if there was a way to nullify those uses, by like, saying only on a certain food or something...

Also I could see like 75% of people pick half full as well...half empty has negative connotations to it...

@rjejr: I wish I still liked Minecraft. I'm was obsessed too when I first got it how ever long ago, but it's just so boring now for some reason, like AC:NL. I'm guessing it's because you literally dig a hole straight down and you'll find all you need to get the best armor/weapons in the game. Takes like 10 min, and finding a mineshaft/stronghold/nether fortress is a bit of luck and can take 10 hours for no good reason. Anyway, that's off-topic

@MasterWario: I felt exactly the same way about Minecraft. My kid plays a lot 2 player on PS3 splitscreen, which adds something else, and he downloads a lot of mods and stuff on his PC version, it's almost limitless - stories, old games remade, and just blowing up everything in site online w/ friends. If he had a single friend who owned a Wii U I bet he would play Spaltoon more. He plays a lot of SSB on 3DS online w/ his friends as well. His friend over now was bragging how his brother just got an Xbox One and how it's more powerful than a PS4 (which it isn't, but I won't argue w/ this 10 year old again, been down that road before.)

So far I've always sided with Marie. I'm not sure what I would do if it were Marie vs Callie with Callie representing Marie, and Marie representing Callie, lol. I'd really like a Mario vs Luigi Splatfest or some other Nintendo-themed ones so I'd feel like they were actually about something I cared about.

I like the nonsense splatfest themes, I don't want things to get ugly. Hiking vs swimming, skiing vs water skiing, hop scotch vs hoola hoop, jacks vs marbles, yo-yo vs boomerang, tiddly winks vs Colorforms. I don't want anything where people feel strongly about 1 side or the other. I do seem to prefer some type of rhyme, rhythm or alliteration as I'm a big Dr. Suess fan. Red fish vs blue fish seems squid appropriate.

Well, not quite. Most seem to vote for what they prefer as opposed to what side either sister is on. It'd be funny if the squid sister that lost that would be all pouty for the next few days of screen time. Best it doesn't happen though to avoid any hurt feelings.

@rjejr: yup, that'll do it. Having no friends is probably worse than having friends that don't play the same video games as you, but it's still extremely annoying.

I'm pretty sure Marie is far and away the more popular sister.

I just noticed the other day I've sided with Callie every time so far. I've always liked the more conservative normal chicks anyways.

I'm probably lucky, but I've been on the winning side for all of the Splatfests we had so far lol.

I was in the winning team the first two times, but apparently Marshmallows were the most popular food item to roast over a camp fire.

So after finding out that switching between clothes quickly can allow you to see the undershirt that the inkling wears (you can also see most of it when wearing Octolings armour), I decided to test it with shoes... Their feet look really creepy O.O

I finally made it back to A+ rank! I got lucky in Tower Control and won five games in a row! Wish me luck getting to S rank!
Speaking of S rank, does anyone else think it's weird that there is no S- rank?
