Sorry if this has been posted before, but GameXplain showed off a really cool easter egg in the 2.0 update:

So I guess Thomas was wrong and South Pole kicked North Pole in some place.

Man we got creamed it didnt help that the last game paired us agaisnt A,s and S ranks...@.@

Yeah it was not like that last time, atleast we didn't go down a rank.

I voted South but didn't play at all so technically I should still be getting some Super Sea Snails for doing absolutely nothing again!

I guess since no one answered my question in the article I will ask here if that's ok. Is it possible to play two players online (two players on same console playing online together) on splatoon now since the update? I'm just wondering since I don't have the game.

@TheGreatLord: Nope and I doubt it will ever happen. In order to play properly you would need 2 gamepads and that's not happening.

@Grumblevolcano You should be getting 3 I think.

@Octane: ok, I'll bite, what is that? And thanks, after all the games I've played on that level I never realized you can swim up that first wall, Ive always gone around the ramp, might save me a second or 2. The jump across was pretty cool too.

@rjejr: Supposedly it's future Octoling DLC. Actually, it already came with the 2.0.0 update. People found this, along with names of new stages and new weapons when data mining through the game.

Yeah, the playable Octoling thing had been around for a while, but apparently with the update they added in additional features for them, such as new facial expressions. It's interesting how fast people found all this new information from the update, after all it's only been a few days since we got it.

@Octane: ahh, I thought it was just you and a freind messing around in a special match. Now it makes sense. In my defense I watched it literally stamp size on my tablet and really couldn't see a thing, I just knew it was 1 v 1 but not in the balloon dojo. Thanks for the info. Pink girl is an octoling, much easier to see on a monitor.

@AlternateButtons: The Splatfests are supposed to happen every few weeks and the stages change every 4 hours.

@AlternateButtons: When you super jump a marker appears where you are jumping to, so the opponents can be ready to shoot as soon as you land. On top of that, if they've just shot the person you're jumping to they'll be ready and waiting for you. It's best to be very conservative with jumps. Don't jump right into the action, often it's better and not much slower to squid through your ink to where you want to be than to jump every time. There's also the stealth jump gear ability, which hides your jump point but gives you slower jumps.

Any reason why the Splat Zone version of Morray Towers is different from the Turf War version? I found that really off putting the first time I played it in Splat Zones.

But Morray Towers is my favourite stage, it just seems so... Epic!

Heh... I'd like that one but realistically, Roller Blading vs. Stakeboarding could be one.

@AlternateButtons: I totally agree and I feel bad going up against anyone level 15 or lower as they just don't have the experience yet to hang with a good group of high levels. I like the fact some online shooter have a beginners room till a certain level. It makes 100% sense for a game like this where the age range might be far lower. I can easily see a 5 year old not want to play this game because of getting killed all the time. If they think turf wars is safe the devs are crazy. Yes the object is to ink turf but splating is still more fun. At least they don't allow people in ranked till level 10.
