I was right in thinking Water slides had a small advantage for popular vote but when I seen the small margin I kinda figured we were in trouble. Doesn't help I was 1 on 4 and 3 on 4 my very first 2 matches. Had one other 3 on 4 that didn't go well for my team. I really hope only 4 on 4 matches count but how are we suppose to ever know the actual count. Would be nice to see this so called tally instead of only Nintendo knowing.

By the way, does anyone else think the aerospray is waay to overpowered? Especially the golden one with the airstrike D: I keep having to fight against full aerospray teams and it just seems impossible to win.

I mostly agree. The Gold Aerospray is one of the best weapons in the game. The weapon is unrivaled in close combat with powerful shots fired in rapid succession. Along with great ink spread and low ink usage, it dominates in Turf Wars and does fairly good in the other modes. Although it does have a few weaknesses with its low range and generally bad accuracy (which doesn't really hinder it, since it only needs to land a few shots on you) the weapon's pros far outweigh it's cons.
Some people consider it overpowered, and in a way it kind of is when it comes to covering Turf and racking up kills. The best way to beat them is to them out from a distance and if your Turf War, take them out often so they can't reclaim Turf. Since chances are, they will be able to cover Turf faster than you.
I've gotten bored of splatfest and started looking for the last few scrolls in solo mode and the more I play the it the more I wish for a dlc to expand it.
Just had the weirdest match ever, it was team eat vs team eat. We were blue and green colored(while the splatfest colors are purple and orange) after about 30 seconds the whole game became glitchy and I got killed by people floating in the ground(?) xd then 4 people disconnected and it was 2 vs 2, me and my teammate were winning with about 75%. Then when Judd decided the winner the whole map was changed and my opponents had won by alot. Sooo strange.

I played in the Splatfest against 3 on the other team and my team won pretty handedly. They do spray a lot of turf though but just keep them at arms lenght.

Aerospray users, as Tech said, just need to be held back at a bit of range. The true terror of Splatoon is a really good sniper, as it can be difficult to get close enough to them without getting splatted.
I've tried using scopes in the game and unfortunately suck at them.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
Well I think roller coaster vs waterslides came out pretty even in both voting and winning, reflected in the final score, so Ill give Ntineod credit for picking a nice match-up for summer fun.
Just spent 90 minutes playing tower control, started B- 38, went down to C+ 70 after a string of losses, then won a few in a run to finish B- 40, so 90 minute sot go up 2 points. At this rate only a few hundred hours more to get up to A.
Oh, and chiming in on the areopspray debate, I started w/ .52 gal deco b/c I really like the seeker in Port Mackerel, but after losing all those matches I switched back to my trusty gold aerospray and won about 5 in a row. Not saying it's all about the weapon, in my case, a middling player, it's more about the team - I was constantly atop my team using the .52 in both inking and kdr and then mostly 2 or 3 w/ the areospray, so I know when I'm carrying and when I'm being carried. But even knowing it's the team adn not the weapon, still hard to get past the psychology of losing all my matches w/ 1 weapon adn winning them all w/ the other, even when I give my team all the credit for wins and blame them for losses.
But it's summer, time to go outside, eat bbq, and sweat.

I've been using my trusty Tentatek Splattershot for the Splatfest, and it's been working out very well. As long as I keep my distance, I can usually defeat Areospray users.

My last match we were completely killing the other team and kind of playing around in their end, and then when the match ended they had the entire middle of the map and won by a large margin. I figured I hadn't looked at the Gamepad in awhile and they somehow got past us, but I wonder if something similar to what you experienced happened to us, too.
As for the Aerospray, I usually use the silver one. I like the Seeker way better than the Ink Mines, and I personally don't think the Inkstrike is that great. It is easy to see coming, move out of the way, and then just turn around and ink the ground again because it doesn't cover that much. It is useful in Tower Control to get other people off the Tower, but that's about it. It took me awhile to get used to using the Inkzooka, but once I did I really like it.
I think the popularity for each team in Europe is going to be close. My bet is on Team Eating tough. Team Sleeping will probably have the highest win percentage.
Soo team eating won by popularity, happy that I won. But kudos to everyone that was on team sleep, they had a higher win percentage after all. GG everyone ^^

It's slightly disappointing to lose the Splatfest, but I'm glad I was on the team that won the most matches. Team Eat were worthy opponents and I had lots of heated battles. This Splatfest was great fun and I look forward to the next one.
@PaperMario64: with the popularity you mean? Same for me, I expected eating to be around 52 percent and sleeping around 48, but it was a huge difference.
Seems like popularity has to be overwhelming in order for a team to win the splatfest without the most wins.
Not really. Win gets x2, while popularity get x1. IIRC, only once so far has the win overweighted the popularity (in the US Roller Coasters vs. Water Slides). If wins aren't weighted higher than it is now, chances are that people will find mechanisms to start making virtually one-sided Splatfests in the future.
My internet was down the whole day so I never got past Roller Coaster Champion, but it's nice that the team won in the end despite the team being slightly less popular.
Splatfest was great fun, but I'm all splattered out now. Since I've played a lot of it recently, it'll be best for me to give it a break for a while so that I don't get sick of the game.
