@-Red-: Oh, I didn't realize that, you're right! Just read up on a few things she did (even an interview on squidboards), she definitely knows how to code.
My GOTY? Legend Of Zelda: Splat of the child. Ah no, I meant LoZ: Breath of the SPLATOOOON!
@jariw: I think it's just a conincidence, just recently Nintendo already had a 10-hour maintenance (just like the one for today) and they could've banned her then if it mattered.
Although that last 10-hours maintenance was very confusing, because I was still able to play Splatoon online.
I wonder if the console ban of NWPlayer123 appearing just before a very long online maintenance is a coincidence.
And say it wasn't, what would be the implication of this?
That Nintendo didn't want their maintenance be disturbed by the actions of some hacker? I doubt there was any real danger regarding this, she would need to hack the servers, not the game data.
But then again, who knows?
@TingLz: i once had a tower match were the tower decided to freeze in place regarless of who was on it. XD
I was on the tower and splatted anyone who jumped on. For some reason, they kept missing me SOMEHOW
But you weren't standing behind the pillar in the middle of the tower?
I think usually you're such a big target on the tower, it should have walls on at least two sides or only one wall that moves with you (which you can swim up on and then get splatted on the top of it).
Since I haven't played TC extensively for an long time, recently I'm trying to play more TC to get more familiar with it again (like back then before RM was released). And so far it went fine, but I'm a bit annoyed by the lack of movement possibilities. I would like a tower that is at least 4 (or even 16) times bigger and has some walls to shield you from outside attacks (the way it is now, you're basically in a fishbowl for everyone to shoot at).
Otherwise you have to either use the Bubbler or Splash Wall - I dislike both items a lot - or constantly jump down the Tower, kill some enemies and then jump back up again. Unless you're playing with competent teammates, which is rarely the case. Most of the times I had to carry the Tower alone and I don't get why.
And I know I have wrote this before, but the broken Superjump really annoys me. Not that I get splatted all the time when I superjump, no, I've learned my lesson a long time ago. But still I feel this is a feature that is broken because its usefulness is extremely diminished because you never know what awaits you when you arrive, even when you look at the map before you jump. And what annoys me the most and is the strongest argument to prove that Superjump is broken: It extremely favors rollers. For a roller, doing a Superjump is an easy kill when they land with the roller on top of you. For everyone else, it's a dangerous move and the only "easy" thing about it is to get splatted.
Just changed a digit in a file from her save game (to change female Inkling into Octoling), I think. That's not hacking.
yeah, just like the guy who just replaced a fuse in your TV didn't really fix it... you could have done it yourself if you just had the knowledge to diagnose the problem and the right tools and supplies to fix it.

@Mk_II: Well there's a difference; I know how to change a few files and knew how to code when I was younger, but that doesn't qualify as a hacker. I never had to call anyone to replace a fuse in a TV and I don't know how to do it, but if I knew, I could at least call myself an amateur-electrician.
Anyway, since people are still playing Splatoon, according to Splatnet, I think I'll try it out, I even saw someone in a ranked battle, hopefully it works despite the maintenance!

That new stuff that they put on the servers during the maintenance immediately are fetched, analyzed and revealed directly afterwards? NWPlayer123 has been one of the main leakers regarding upcoming Splatoon material, and was one of the key figures behind the Twilight Princess: HD leak.
EDIT: The actual maintenance was made in just 50 minutes, so perhaps there were no major changes to the servers and their content other than the 5.5.1 Wii U system update after all.

This is not the same, at all. To be able to hack or data mine a Wii U in the first place, you need to have a system that hasn't been updated to the latest firmware. Once the Wii U is on 5.4.0 or later, it's not possible to use the exploit anymore.
@Rexcalibr: Actually you can. While you're on the plaza and your Inkling is standing in a good spot, hit the home button and go to Miiverse. There you can save the content of the main screen as a screenshot (or as a play journal entry with text). Since this screenshot will show up in your miiverse profile, you can just go over to your PC (or do it on the Wii U's browser, you phone etc) and open Miiverse in your browser. Then you can copy the link of your screenshot/play journal and post it here.
But of course, anyone who's friends with you on Miiverse can also just see your Inkling in Splatnet in their browser.
Man, I really have to play more RM again! I forgot how much fun it is so use the width of the map and keep your opponents guessing.
I was soo tired when I came back home from a friend! Actually I just wanted to test the Octoshot on Hammerbridge & Mahi Mahi and we won almost every match! Not only that, in all our wins it was me who made the score for us.
Of course my team also helped, after I took the lead for us and died, they held the line so everyone of us could come back. Only once on Mahi Mahi I did it all by myself, got the RM at the start and made it to the enemy base almost without being noticed.
On both maps I found it easier to reach the goal with the RM via the flanks, once when there were only 30 seconds left (we were leading 33-40/67-60) and we stopped them near our base, I got the RM and went to the right flank to stall. No one could find/reach me in time.
Not to get ahead of myself, maybe our opponents weren't good enough or it was some kind of bday bonus, but it was a lot of fun using map knowledge to beat the other team, this wouldn'd be possible on classic maps like, let's say Walleye Warehouse (although there are a few ways on the flanks, but they may be less useful).

Hi guys, I just deleted all content off of my Wii U to delete an account that a previous owner had left. I connected my NNID back up to it and everything on my Splatoon is gone. It took me back to create an Inkling and the tutorial. I thought everything would still be there but it isn't. I still have all my friends and everything but I guess I screwed bu my Splatoon? It's the disc so I thought everything would still be there. I was level 28 and a B and I had most of the weapons, so I'd really like all my stuff back.
@madisonblackwell: Unfortunately your game saved data isn't tied to your id. If you deleted their save file and your save file was also on it it's gone now.
