Topic: Splatoon - OT

Like Spoony_Tech I fell down to A+ but it doesn't bother me. A+ games are more enjoyable for me. Plus I'm working on my charger skills.

Actually, I think the match making system works decent enough to allow new players to get into Splatoon. I had a friend over, and I made him a new account for Splatoon. When we jumped into Turf Wars we were playing exclusively players below level ten.
(After a few matches I took a turn and completely demolished the other team. I am ashamed to say it, but I just spawn camped them the entire match.)

Glad to get in another win! Haven't missed a Splatfest yet. My wife only missed the first two. I had lost quite a few in a row before team Pirates and now this one. Even when I was losing a few in a row, it's a bit sad to see so many still analyzing and complaining about wins being so important in order to....win. Sorry if that comes across harsh. Though I would be cool if they dropped it back to times 4, it's not that huge of a deal to me at least. I do think if you show up and play well for your team, then you deserve the win more. It's kind of like saying there is more Pirates fans than Reds fans, so the Reds should never win. Just try not to take it personal. Times 6 is a bit high, but just remember it's just a game. All a Splatfest loss means is a few less snails than many of us has gotten a ton of at this point anyway. If you aren't enjoying a game then maybe find something else to do to have some fun.

Anyway, I had another great time with it, and became a Burger King, which is pretty cool considering my NNID is Whopper744.

Not sure if they are on here but just a quick shout out to Kurisuchan (great player, and had a good laugh on a match we were getting destroyed on even) and Nightslash.

@Whopper744: less you forget the last Splatfest was x8.

I wonder if people will eventually catch on the trend of choosing the less popular team and we will get a splafest were the opposite happens.

@Jazzer94: I don't know, maybe it has more to do with your playing style? I played Turf War for a couple of hours yesterday with a friend (DaGreen). I'm lvl45 (A) and he's lvl31 (B). In only one match there was a player with lvl7 and after the second match he was gone.

As I askes before: When this happens, do you stay in the lobby or do you leave it? Because of course nothing will change if you stay in the lobby.
Then again, it could be totally unrelated to the lvl and insteads have something to do with style of play, time of the day etc.
Even the matchmaking in Twin Squads has improved drastically.
A few months before I played twin squad with DaGreen a lot, but we constantly got matches with S players and lost. So in the end he got demotivated and stopped playing.
Now that his graphics card is broken he was forced to play more Wii U again and yesterday when we played twin squads later, in almost every match we got matched with/against A and B players. Only sometimes there was one S player, but that was okay. It wasn't like before, where most of the players were S ranks.

@DreamyViridi You made it before I did. Also, would you be up for blitzing through the den of trials? Everyone seems to be laggy, and only having done the forest section.

Annoying when I'm at the last section, but, hey, I take what I get.

Hey @Jazzer94, do you have any tips for charger in Urchin Underpass? I can't seem to do anything in that map, regardless of mode. All I get are splats with my bombs. XD

@masterwario Roving charger seems to work well. It's a non camp map, especially on rainmaker. If you can get up high, you should be golden.

@OorWullie Nah, you're a good player. You're at least as good as me.

@TheXReturns: I'd love to, but it'll have to be some other time. I've yet to start the den of trails myself and right now; my BT Hub is being a jerk in terms of wireless internet... the connection drops every dozen seconds and I'm going to sort it out.

@MasterWario: I either play squiffler and go agro or kelp scope and mainly stay to the left side.

Not really worth it now. I'll certainly try to go back to squadding this week.

@OorWullie: Don't say that! You're a great player, the tournament proved it! You have to remember that half of rank is luck, and disconnections also get in the way of increasing your rank. You'll make it to S one day; you already play like an S ranked player!
