Just wait till after CHRISTmas and all the new blood there will be. I actually feel sorry for any new players as there's really no easy way to ease them into this game. Considering this is aimed at young people you would think by now there would be some type of rookie room till you get to rank 10 or something.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
I'm starting to use the Splat Charger...it's quite fun to use. Somehow I was able to get a re-roll on the squash headband with 2 sub strength-ups, so now I can two shot people with an uncharged charger shot. Have yet to try it out in a real game though.
I think i figure out why their is always a huge mass of low level players. Some probably are new players but i think some are alt accounts of people who choose both sides to guarantee themselves the extra snals eitherway
Ain't nobody got time for that!!! I mean, I certainly don't. Actually lemme rephrase that. I wouldn't want to put in the time for that.
I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke! My YouTube Channel! Video game related, of course! My Pushmo Levels

A good player with an alt account would still be a good player with a low level. And what would be the point to get snails to an alt account, when they aren't transferrable to the main account?
I have now filled all my slots for the Splatfest tee, in preparation for the no-pineapple team battles in the NoE Splatfest. I even let Spyke made some modifications to the Splatfest tee this time, since the last splatfests have had some really competitive matches.
@VelvetElvis: Wow, I couldn't do that. Aside from my impatience, playing without optimized gear would be really unsatisfying. I would also feel like missing out on something while playing. I have different strategies regarding the abilities, so I know what combinations I want. It's just such a great feeling when after dozens of rerolls you finally get three (or more) pieces of gear that fit together really well and compliment your strategy or style of play.
I also bought every piece of gear - except for those with abilities that I don't use at all - and I'm still buying some of the new ones. And then I just set my priorities (which item do I need right now) and reroll (or extend slots) them step by step.
My GOTY? Legend Of Zelda: Splat of the child. Ah no, I meant LoZ: Breath of the SPLATOOOON!

I don't get your point? That's what the matchmaking is for.
I never get matched against people with a single-digit level, regardless of the mode. So I'm pretty sure any rookies will get matched together like always.

@VelvetElvis I do the same thing too! For some reason it's very addicting to get as much gear as possible and fill out the slots... I also still haven't used a single snail, for some reason I need to save them. I've also made a point to buy every weapon available, even though there are many I don't use.
@shani: I made an alt a little while back and by the time I was lvl 7 the game was putting me with lvl 50 players, basically the match making is pants.

You forget that there is no single digit players in ranked. Now if you play a turf war you see all kinds of levels mixed. The game doesnt care if you're ranked 50 or 1 when it coems to turf and that's where any new person will be stuck till level 10 anyways. You can't tell me a level 10 and under player especially a child won't get frustrated really fast in turf wars.
It has been known for a while that the game matches based on play styles in turf and not rank number.
@ELI-ASH: But that's still 6 whole hours of just turf wars... uugggghhhh... you can't even play with friends!
@Spoony_Tech Now there's definitely an issue with the current setup, but you should go through the single player campaign first; that'll teach you a good amount, as the final boss is no pushover. With those skills you should be able to do somewhat ok in turf wars until level 10, and then you can proceed to play ranked with your current skill bracket. And yeah if you're trying a charger you might have a rough time, but perhaps the splattershot or roller would be easier to use?

Some of you guys are so lucky! I need a lot of super sea snails... but I only have 10. XD I decided on which gear I want to use for my Slosher, so I need all the re-rolls I can get! I have quite a bit of money, but don't want to spend it all... hope I get lucky with the re-rolls!
@Jazzer94: I'm with Blue_Blur, I'd rather not spend it all, even though I know it's not useful for much else. It's probably for in case I get a sudden weapon urge and need to spend 'em suddenly. I always like having a back-up because I've learned from experience if I rush to buy something on whims I regret it later.

We have exactly the same sickness, right down to the weapons thing. And it is beautiful.
