Played just enough to get a Burger Defender title before Splatfest closed. I was a little crunched today, and my bit of free time went to Xenoblade X. But I played with some damn fine burger lovers and shared a good many victories. May the eternal ground beef patty smile down upon us.
Such a weird splat-fest. When my first group of players would get discouraged, they'd just start jumping off the edge or squidbagging near the spawn. XD
...but in my other group, we managed to win with a 1-man disadvantage!
Awwww, yeah. Got that Super Sea Snail burger money. I'm hoarding these things. Got about 70 of 'em.
Speaking of Splatfest results, I remember some folks were speculating that the pizza voter base would likely have a lot more kids than the burgers, and I think that may well have been the case. My team was often at level 35-50 and we'd be up against whole teams that were under level 20. There were a good many matches in which I didn't get splatted at all, and there were a lot of instances where'd I'd splat groups of two or three enemies that should've been able to easily gang up on me.

Wow, how can you hold on to them like that? I always spend them all at once, because there are just so many items that I want to reroll! If there was a trading system in Splatoon - which I've been wishing for pretty much since the beginning - I would buy some snails from you in exchange for some of my gear. ^^
@Shani: I'm obsessively collecting and upgrading gear — for some reason, it has become my key Splatoon addiction. My plan is to get all the gear fully upgraded, figure out what my favorite/most useful gear sets are, then have plenty of Sea Snails available to upgrade or re-roll those sets. We'll see if I can see it through, but so far so good.
And trading would be rad. I could see that being a neat feature in the next Splatoon, especially if there are more cosmetic choices-- I'm envisioning things like patches, stickers or accessories, and some sort of swapmeet area where players can go and trade. I feel like Splatoon is another Super Smash Bros. on the N64 — it lays an incredibly strong gameplay foundation, and I hope we're in line for new iterations that build on that foundation while adding layers and layers of fun ancillary content.
I think i figure out why their is always a huge mass of low level players. Some probably are new players but i think some are alt accounts of people who choose both sides to guarantee themselves the extra snals eitherway
