You do slightly have a point. In that the only way to be controversial with video games anymore seemingly is for someone stupid on the internet to have an opinion about a female video game character's outfit. I mean, that is the entire reason you know about Dragon's Crown, let's be honest.
I mean, GTA 5 was controversial only because A. a single torture scene and B. because some people got butthurt in Australia. Otherwise, it was just another M rated game (if a massively popular one with that level of mega controversial in its history). For the most part, video games haven't been controversial in that sort of way for a few years now it seems...
And yes I'd believe that if it weren't for the fact that the last few posts/ pages are discussing nothing but the "woes of censorship". Besides I'm vastly outnumbered and don't feel like hearing about how its harmless and no ya'll don't view "real women tm" that way. But whatever, free internet and all that. Has anyone seen the fortissimo edition on amazon yet?

It is weird the types of games and content that is targeted by people who hate it when certain games are edited for other regions, calling it 'censorship' for some reason as well. But I for one remember when Naughty Dog announced they removed Donut Drake from Uncharted 4 and people barley batted an eye and are still really looking forward to the game, but the 'censorship' of bikinis on women in games like this gets people in a right tizzy.
Strange. There must be a reason. I will puzzle some more and come back later if I can find it.
@Ryu_Niiyama: My view is pretty much that I don't care either way provided the actual real content (story, gameplay, etc.) isn't ruined and if there's a need for a character age change to 18+ then do it. In contrast say for example if the reason for the 3 month FE Fates delay in EU was infact due to adding in the petting to the extent of the Japanese version, I would be very annoyed because adding it back in means nothing to the actual content.
The most recent news means nothing to my levels of excitement, infact the only thing that's affecting my levels of excitement is potential betrayal of Wii U owners if the NX releases in 2016.
Most "censorship" changes are made for the age rating, and most of the time they are made before submitting the game to be rated. They don't submit the game and get a list of things to change to get a lower age rating, they make changes to the game in hopes of getting the lower age rating and then submit it. It is cgeaper and easier to do this and ot isn't the job of the ESRB to tell developers what to change. I think the most they can do is point to specific areas of the submitted content and tell them these were "trouble areas." Sadly, changes for different cultures are still needed and I am not sure if they won't be needed within my lifetime. The ESRB could use a re-work of the age ratings to make it so a 16 year old isn't confined ti what a 13 year old can enjoy
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
The only problem is I don't believe just having women in bikinis gives you a M rating so that's not an excuse. Now the age along with that could but what do I know.

I haven't played the game, or watched GamePlay of it, but it depends on what the intention is. If something can be considered sexual, then that is going to push the rating up. Every little thing in a game will push the rating up. If the content isn't appropriate for a 13 year old then the next rating is Mature. There should be something between that in my opinion.

I believe this may have been brought up earlier on this forum thread, but when it comes to the European PEGI rating system, there is effectively a rating between T and M. With PEGI, the ratings are 3, 7, 12, 16, and 18. Looking at the ESRB website, I can see that it is different with them.

And Europe probably just gets the American localized version most of the time, which is too bad.

Although since Atlus is doing it maybe it's different but Ninty localizes independently and you get differences even in the English versions like the meme in Tri-Force Heroes and it's only really dub that get used the same to cut costs like with Rainfall games getting English accents as NOA didn't chose to localize them at first.
While you lot were arguing over the NX and Zelda announcements in other threads and articles, I preordered the special edition on Nintendo UK Online Store.

They put in the 1 per customer rule so preorders may last longer than FE Fates.
You make it sound like you weren't argueing too
£64.99 seems abit much to me, is the DLC exclusive to the limited editions and how much would it likely on it's own? I feel confident in getting Tokyo Shin Emblen Session #Fire for around £25-35 without the bells and whistles.

Only worth it if you're a collector. The Fire Emblem Fates special was worth getting due to only needing one card for the games, this game isn't that special. But if you got money to burn and are a collector might be worth it.
As far as I know, Gamestop is the only online retailer offering this in the US, but I'm not sure if that extends to Canada.
